Fantasy is open for 2021! It’s quite a bit earlier than usual, so there’s no excuse for not having time to play with your team for what we hope will be a normal season coming up.
The first lockout of the season will be 7:25pm AEDT, Thursday 18 March at the bounce of Richmond v Carlton.

i appreciate seeing someone still rolling with Mitchell, seems your confidence in him exceeds others,
Zach is the genuine heart and soul of the Bombers, his average should increase to 121 this year hopefully
witherden is so unknown its not funny,
with duggan and Shep already playing sweeping roles, the only one in see witherden playing is Lewis Jetta’s (which wasnt very scoring affective)
rookies are pretty standard atm with who everyone is picking but i cant imagine its gonna fire with that many fresh bodies playing from the Get go.
rucks are standard, forward premuims are so unknown currently and the reliable “keepers” are so overpriced.
i personally believe its more the year of the past strategies in underpriced up and comers to fill those spots such as rozee and Stephenson

Cheers original team had rozee in it and hately milers etc I just felt I had gone too mid priced. Appreciate advice and once I’ve seen some practice games I think it will change again. What are your thoughts on celeb Daniel? Titch is wait n see if named round one

if your bench options are dogwater, you will struggle from round 2, highly suggest you allocate more than just basement cash towards them.
you’re also relying on 2 rookies in the backline, and 3 in the forwards to play from round 1. plus 3 in the mids who only 2 will probably start. all in all, you’re relying on 8 fresh first year players to start from round 1, good luck…..
smart picks on the premiums, but you lack any depth for players that have not just come from under 18’s in your 4-6 slots in your defensive and offensive positions. id look at someone like Marchbank who is ready made and holds his spot pending full fitness.

what about my rooks? My original team had all the mid pricers which reduced my number of rookies but limits my cash generation unless they all fired. Guess its gunna be wait n see for green lights

Appreciate the feed back mate.
I feel all those thinking about stretching out more midpricers in the positions where I have rookies who will likely be there round 1, will end up regretting it.
I’m more than happy for those to be going harmes and hately or H Young and risking their other lines, I guess that is the game we play.
I feel rooks and premos is still going to end up being to go to like it always is.

It seems there’s lots of ADE mids all taking Crouch’s points: Laird, Hately, Sloane, Sholl, Schoenberg, Pedlar, Milera. They can’t all go ballistic, so if you have Hately but are having second thoughts, what’s your plan B? Are Ward, Constable, LDU, or Cunnington viable options? Or sit tight on Hately and hope for the best?

Yes, Hately does not not sit in my side currently due to the uncertainty surrounding his midfield minutes.
Ward, LDU and Cunnington I think are, as for Constable he is not best 22 and should he play just look at the names ahead of him.

Agree- Sloane max 90 for a few weeks, but not a season. He is a sell before the byes and to make enough cash he would need to go 90 plus. Simpkin is already 88, you buy him hoping he becomes an almost keeper, that is averaging n 95 plus and an easy upgrade to a keeper and a rookie upgrade near the bye’s. Simpkin has a better chance. But not sold on either option yet.

– standard and solid
– I would monitor the exact role of Harmes i.e. may be a run with thus not the midfield output some may desire?
Midfield
– I like this structure, again common selections but could say common for a reason
– Treloar is an obvious watch in the preseason as to how bulldogs’ midfield functions but you would expect him to have a high CBA %.
Ruck
– I find interesting as ROB is only 40k less than than Grundy. If I were to make a prediction, I think the difference will be greater by the end of the season. You also have the cash ITB to make this change, so I presume it is tactical rather than out of need.
Forward
– I somewhat like the Brodie selection if the role is there. But I wouldn’t have the greatest confidence as there are several midfielders fighting for those minutes, a poor game and Dew may be inclined to turn to someone else and probably of the younger brigade.

Got him at the moment. Priced at 61. Over 7 years (prior to ACL injury) his lowest average was 93.5..
If fit and in mids is a lock, presents much better value than the likes of Hately

I think he’ll drift to half back a bit. He’s total mid days are over as GWS have too many one paced midfielders, Ward, Cogs, Hopper, Taranto can’t all be CBA’s. At his awkward price you can wait and see his role and get one near the first DPP.

I wouldn’t. Neither is a top 10 defender and doubt there’s enough growth in them to warrant the cash. There are better value options in defence this year

Don’t mind them as players, although both scored well last year. You generally are better off going up and down. That is up from Lukosius and down from Day.
595 at 78 and 569 at 74 could be
Young or Cumming who could go 65 so that is a loss of 10 or so, but then also get a premo like Laird, Stewart etc which might go 95-100. Overall, you are in the positive and you only need to trade one player rather than two. Unless, you think Day and Lukosius will go 80 plus each. That’s the risk, but be mindful even if they go 80 they won’t increase much in value.

Preuss out for months apparently. We will all be restructuring our teams. Like your approach. As a Cats supporter I am hoping Clark gets a game, assume you mean that Clark not Hunter Clark from Saints? If Hunter I think he is a good option too. I am on ROB over Grundy too.
