Here are my top six tips to help you win big today!
Nick Riewoldt (FWD, $10,000)
The Voldt averaged an impressive 122 at Etihad last year and this week he plays the Demons and in the past he has smashed them. He scored 99 and 126 against them in 2016 and prior to that he scored 112, 124, 125 and 114. Coming off the wing, he’ll float wherever and whenever a mark needs to be taken. He’s expensive but boy is he worth it this week.
Clayton Oliver (MID, $6,500)
Sometimes in Moneyball you’ll need a unique option to get you over the line and Oliver is certainly that. He scorched his last pre-season game with 126 from 31 touches and should run hot again under the roof against the Saints.
The Hawks Duo
At their price, Jaeger O’Meara (MID, $6,000) and Jarryd Roughead (FWD, $5,600) pick themselves. The Hawks duo haven’t put a foot wrong over the pre-season and will make an immediate Fantasy impact against the Bombers. With limited forward options in Moneyball, Roughie is a golden pick as he will play some time in the ruck and sit forward.
Christian Salem (DEF, $5,700)
When selecting a defender this week in the Saturday Slam… hunt for value. There are no stand-out premium options and that makes Salam a tempting option. He floated through the midfield for the Demons over the pre-season scoring 92 and 79 and at times looked impressive. If he can score 75 at this price, it’s a massive win for your team.
Jordan Foote (MID, $4,800)
2017 might just be Foote’s year to finally crack the AFL and Sydney’s best-22 after playing just one game last year for a score of 43. We all need cheap players in our team to fit under the salary cap. He averaged 105 in the NEAFL and at this price, he’s a great rookie that might sneak a 70+ against the Power at the SCG.
Dayne Beams (MID, $8,400) – Cal’s Best Tip
Over the JLT Community Series, Beams showed he is back to his very best.
My happy hour tip has scored 127 in the final game with 15 disposals more than his next team mate, and with the new ‘high possession’ game style of the Lions, he’s a lock and a popular pick. But please don’t let his popularity deter you today, he’s popular for a reason.
He has now taken over the captaincy reins at the club and will be out lead from the front with a high possession game filled with plenty of tackles. In his last game against the Suns (2015) he scored 119.
Beams has averaged as high as 116 in the past and at his price only the sky is the limit for this gun.
Get involved and good luck
