Tbetta’s Bulletin – Episode 006

Well, that escalated slowly…. but Round 1 is finally over!

Dunny (@pkd73) is this week’s guest on the Bulletin, and just like he does on Friday mornings, he sets me straight on (well, Scrambles me, anyway) what to do leading into the Round 2. AFL Fantasy is the big focus this week with INFINITE TRADES, so dig in and see what you can learn. We also take the traditional game-by-game recap route, probably creating more questions than we dispel, but hey! It’s DT Talk and this is the Bulletin, so enjoy.

  • Nice work Tbetta! Great listen as always.
Great input my Dunny and a big call with Swan.
Keep up the great work boys.

  • With the rookies Tyson, Dunstan and Polec looking like they will have to be starting on the field, how will i be able to fit Macrae or Shiels into the team.

    @Tbetta @Dunny

    • Leave Dunstan out and bench Polec. Dunstan isn’t going to pump out tons. The saints midfield were missing a lot of players, and Dunstan won’t be playing a central midfield role with any of those guys around, and his scores will likely be reduced by quite a lot. Other players like Cunningham and Ellis are much cheaper and should have a similar output, although Dunstan will probably have slightly better job security, he’s really not worth the extra cash, and you can upgrade him to Shiels or Macrae

      • dunstan most certainly will keep playing midfield may get rotated through the back line at times but the word out of the saints is they are rapt with him and see him as the successor to lenny hayes in the middle may not get the ton every week but will average around 85 ppg he plays tough contested footy and with the saints in a rebuilding phase i can see dunstan spending plenty of time in the middle.

  • im really unsure whether to go with the guns and rookie approach to generate cash for mid season, or more mid prices in the mix..will these mid prices (macrae, shiels, suckling, wright) still produce enough cash to upgrade later on?

  • Really good listen men!

  • Great stuff boys!

  • hibberd vs simpson and mitchell vs birchall???????

  • great episode, good to hear some your tips, went with J-McRae at the start and will be sticking with the lad

  • Love your work mate – and have loved your valuable input for Adelaide teams Dunny!
Fantasy is a whole new ball game with the free hit (I did okay with 2154) but it’s good to know that I won’t be the only one mass trading this week. So far I have 12 trades going into the lockout with 2 more to go. I think I had 10 rage trades on Monday with the Pig the first to go along with Danger

  • @jack. I went shiels and macrae last week cause I watched their games over the nab and practice matches and I thought they looked the goods but the mid price scared me.

Then fantasy freako brought out the stats for all games in the pre (which was awesome) and I put both of them in my line up for round one.

I knew it was only preseason scores as my mates kept reminding me but it wasn’t that to me it was that they carried form were as some others didn’t and it was strong consistent form.

My mates thought I was crazy but I did it and it paid off. Since they showed appreciation in me for showing faith in them by getting tons again and believing ,I’ve made room for both those guys this week.

I agree with Matt with the dunstan call aswell cause I said the same thing to my mates as far as time in the mid when the guns come back scenario arises.

  • come on guys/gals I need to complete my league – Afl fantasy
    Code: 4XEVKXUR

  • Nice work Tbetta and Dunny. No Monday Bullets this year?
