And we are back! Apologies for the absence last week. Life gets in the way sometimes and I don’t even have that much of a life… I hope you saw my supplementary tweet on X at least. Anywho, regular scheduling resumes this week and I’m ready to get back amongst the weeds of streaming for our draft leagues – and I’m going in deeeeep this week.
Anyway, the purpose of this article is to suggest one-week streaming options for draft leagues. Each week, I compile a team of lowly owned players (<40% ownership) that are worthy of a one-week pick-up-and-play, helping you fill any gaps you may have in your starting squads.
But first, let’s see how I went last round:
HITS
Kieran Briggs (89 AF/114 SC) – the Shoe-in shoed! Sadly for owners, he won’t play West Coast every week.
MISSES
Luke Trainor (52 AF/21 SC) – he hurt his thumb early in the game, but still, that SC score is inexcusable.
Stephen Coniglio (43 AF/61 SC) – he actually played alright, and looked like he’d put up a score early, but this man’s fantasy relevance has gone the way of the R word and the dodo bird…
Look, I didn’t put my all into last week’ work, and it shows in the results. At least the Shoe-in hit? Any nuffy could have picked a ruckman against West Coast though so I won’t brag about that one. I’ll be digging nice and deep once again this week and can ENSURE you, results will be better.
Here are the lowly owned players that I like as stream targets for Round 11 (ownership % taken from AFL Fantasy):
DEFENDERS
CJ Jiath (4%) vs. Western Bulldogs – with Lindsay and Salem still hurt, and a sweet matchup for defenders against the Dogs, the lowly owned Jiath is certainly a decent stream in deep leagues this week. He scored a 99 AF just 2 weeks ago.
Heath Chapman (5%) vs. St Kilda – the good ol’ defenders against the Saints play… Chapman has a 5 round average of 73 AF which is just fine, including an 86 and a 95 in that run (I won’t say who against…). Just try me here, okay?
Josh Lindsay (10%) vs. Collingwood – the kid has been in ripping form and has one of the best matchups for half-backers in the Pies this week – it’s that simple. He’s a total Shoe-in!

MIDFIELDERS
Jacob Hopper (~23%) vs. Essendon – I know what you’re thinking: “BOOOORRRINGGG.” This play has no BOOM potential at all, but a sturdy 80 for your M5-7 should be happening against the hapless Dons.
Steele Sidebottom (~13%) vs. West Coast – you have to imagine that Sidey gets around his old mate, Pendles, for a few touches this week. He played 91% TOG last week which is remarkable for a bloke who’s close to need a walking stick.
George Wardlaw (~28%) vs. Gold Coast – the Suns are still a great matchup for inside mids, but like Hopper, the BOOM potential is low for Wardlaw. I do envision a match where things just click for him though – 12 tackles, a handful of marks and a decent kick to handball ratio – it’s certainly possible.
Bruce Reville (8%) vs. GWS – I’m just looking out for my deep league players here. Bruce has put up some nice scores without Berry in the side and Fletcher having to play more defensively. GWS are also a plus matchup for outside players so this one feels pretty safe for your M7 slot.
RUCK
Nick Bryan (20%) vs. Richmond – now I’m in a league where I drafted TDK as my R1. I’ve since been playing Jordan Sweet ahead of him and my plan is to pounce on this guy when the time is right. Dreamtime at the G against a Richmond team on their knees feels pretty darn right to me. Bryan’s game-time has been low since returning, but with Wright unable to play this week, and 2 games under his belt, I truly believe it’s time for anyone who needs a halfway decent ruck to go and get this guy.
FORWARDS
Lachlan Bramble (4%) vs. Melbourne – for ownership this puny, I really like this stream. Defenders against the Dees are scoring, and the cool thing here is that Bramble is playing in defence right now but is forward eligible. Bailey Williams, who has been sneaky good this year, is missing this week and loves sneaking down back for some ball, meaning Bramble could have even more access to points.
Nate Caddy (5%) vs. Richmond – he gives me big game player vibes, and this game is about as big as it gets for Essendon right now. He scored a fantasy ton against Brisbane recently… weird. Honestly, I could put up an 80 against Richmond right now.
Seth Campbell (4%) vs. Essendon – I kind of like this guy as a fantasy prospect to be honest, and he’ll be one to watch once Richmond start to get their shit together. General forwards like it against the Bombers (shock), and you can loop this one on a Friday night if you’re unsure.
As a collective, these are some of the lowest owned players I’ve ever featured in this article I reckon; just look at all those single figure ownership numbers! I took the week off last week and it’s got me in a punting mood this week, so if you take any of these streams on, let me know on X – I want the bad and the good.
Adios, amigos.

Hey mate, long time listener of your podcast, I swear by your streamer picks every week. I used to love your guys’ articles with the dozen deals, as it was very insightful. What has happened to them and any likelihood of coming back?
