Cam Guthrie vs Ollie Wines | AFL Fantasy 2024 Head2Head

Join me and special guest Stato from the PODPOD and The Draft Doctors in the next head to head battle between midfielders Cam Guthrie and Ollie Wines. We discuss each player in depth and talk about their pros and cons, give our verdict on who we would pick out of the two players, and if we are keen on starting either player in our side.

Cam Guthrie

Limited to just the six games last season and just an average of just 86.8, he comes in at a discounted price of $762k. He has been a premium for us in the past, with averages of 109.7 in 2021 and 95.9 in 2022. The big unknown is Geelong, but we are all pretty confident that Guthrie will be their no.1 midfielder. Being priced at 84.4, if he can go 95+, he could provide a nice stepping stone during the mid season bye period for premium coming off their bye.

Ollie Wines

Injuries really plagued Ollie Wines last year, which in turn also meant he had a poor role. Going into 2024, by all reports, he hasn’t missed a beat and been training very well in the midfield, with Ken also saying they are looking forward to seeing Ollie at full health in the midfield this year, which is great news for his fantasy prospects. Priced at 77.7, he comes in at a very cheap price as well at $701k. Similar to Guthrie, if he can average 95+, he can also be a guy you trade at his bye to a premium coming off their bye.
