Sorry team…
Unfortunately life has gotten in the way this week (apparently I have one outside of the Fantasy stuff … work, family, etc…). So this week’s edition of the fill up sucks. I don’t have the time to get something quality out. BUT I’ve dribbed a bit more rubbish than usual in the YouTube video. Check that out. Also check out the podcasts and all the articles floating around the place! Heaps to consume.
Hopefully back bigger and better next week – just ahead of flying up to Brisbane for a fun arvo on the beers at the Pineapple Hotel thanks to our mates at GameDay Squad. Click here for more details.
Warne Dawgs – Round 8
If you watched the video on AFL.com.au today, the trades there are still in play (Phillipou to Brayshaw), but I’m really looking at these moves as it will help with byes, cash gen and feeling better about my team for weeks to come… ahh. I am looping Wilmot tonight, so that might make some decisions easier. We’ll see!
ROUND 8 TRADES
Corey Wagner (UTILITY) > Blake Drury (F7)
Matt Robert (M10) > Brayden Fiorini (M6)
Cash left: $161,000
ROUND 8 CAPTAINS

Anderson over Steele considering R13 bye?
The bye is a consideration, BUT I think Steele is a better option than Anderson. I think I would go Steele as long as that isn’t smashing his bye.

To options I have for moving on a underperforming mid-pricer:
I like how you’re working with millions, not thousands in your budget. I’m going to use that too from now on. Why feel like a bankrupt did worrying about cash gen issues, when we can be loaded ballers throwing out millions on junk players instead!
Is trading Matt Roberts to Drury and also trading uwland to angwin too much of a meh trade seeing it makes no coin, just gets 2 green dots on the pine for the week, hopefully longer?
Yeah, no guarantees about the guys you’re bringing in either. Angwin hardly killing it, and Drury’s VFL numbers aren’t massive either.
Is boak a good target for setters and then trading hollands to fiorni. Or should I just trade greene and pou to fiorini?
no boak
Unlike you Warnie, I am tempted by Kemp. Absolutely on fire in the VFL this year (3 game average of 121) and continued that into the AFL last weekend. The two questions are, how much was his score inflated by playing WC, and does he have job security?
I reckon he’s good for 70s, which would make him ~25pts undervalued. He’s taken Cowan’s spot, who played every game prior to Kemp’s selection, so if he plays at a high enough level, he should be able to hold his spot. Not someone I’d pick if I trusted the available rooks this week and certainly not risk free, but he might be a good pick this week.
I considered trading him in this week…
If he scores 75+ this week he’s a lock trade next week for me
The problem is, with a BE of 9, a score of 75 would put him up, what, $60k?
In my team ATM. Let’s see if he’s still there in 45 mins.
Considered him during PS. Not a terrible pick.
I wish I had the guts to put Dunkley as VC lol
Last week Rozee, this week Neale. FFFFUUUUUAAAAAA-
FMDT, another week of missing out on a monster VC.
More people will have Dunks this week than Marshall did last week.
Disagree, TT would have been the logical choice. Dunks hadn’t been lighting it up consistently, but the no. 1 coach this week definitely did.
Yeah, checked leagues and a lot of teams have other options.
Tarranto is Captain for me, with the VC a toss up between the Lions boys :/
What the hell Fergus green, 6 points at full time. Glad I got rid of him this week.
Going to lose sooo much cash :( Kept him so I could get up to Fiorini by dhopping Holland’s.
89 from Fiorini, 86 from Holland’s, and whatever Fergus loses. To run salt into the wound, been planning on sideways trading Grundy to Gawn, so I also eat a big price drop from Grundy this week, plus 40-50 less points. Sigh. After making such a big climb last week too.
Really struggling for cash to upgrad. Basically culling red dots on 350k off cash, and no 200k rooks coming through.
Dont wanna look at Fergus in my team any more
You’re missing out if you don’t have English, it makes you sick to your stomach when other premo rucks Flop with 70’s or so and English bangs 150. I feel Grundy and Gawn are going to take turns yoyoing.
I was trying to help you JungleMuffin, just get English during the byes. You’ll feel better.
Side swapping Green to Atkins was probably the best move I made all year haha
