AFLW Fantasy Weekly Wrap – Round 10 2022

Ben looks back at the top scores and best rookies of the round.

The final round of the season is done and it’ll be a nervous wait for final rankings when lockout lifts.

Fingers crossed you had a few North Melbourne players in your team though – three Kangroos scored over 100 points and six scored over 90!

And another big thanks to Selby and the team at Moreira’s Magic for putting this competition together – I hope everyone enjoyed the season as much as I did.

Fantasy pig of the week

🦘 Jasmine Garner (MID) wins the title for the second time this season with a massive 134 in North Melbourne’s big victory over West Goast.

She racked up 26 disposals, 10 marks and seven tackles to go with her two goals.

The rest of the top 10 were:

2. 🏁 Jaimee Lambert (MID) – 130

3. 🦘 Ashleigh Riddell (MID) – 126

4. 🐦 Ebony Marinoff (MID) – 121

5. 😈 Lily Mithen (MID) – 112

6. 🐱 Amy McDonald (MID) – 109

7. 😇 Tilly Lucas-Rodd (MID) – 102

8. 🦘 Sarah Wright (FWD) – 100

9. 🔵 Madeleine Guerin (MID) – 98

=10. 🦘 Jenna Bruton (MID) – 96

=10. 🐦 Anne Hatchard (MID) – 96

Rookies of the round

Players who started the year at $20,300 or less are eligible for the AFLW Fantasy Rookie of the Year medal and the top five scorers will be awarded votes each round.

🐱 Georgie Prespakis (MID) hadn’t polled votes since Round 6 but smashed it out of the park to claim the full five with 92 points.

She laid an incredible 13 tackles along with 19 touches and three marks.

But did Prespakis do enough to snatch the medal from 😈 Eliza West (MID) …?

The remaining votes go to:

4. 🐱 Darcy Moloney (MID) – 71
3. 🔵 Keeley Sherar (MID) – 70
3. 🦘 Brooke Brown (RUCK) – 70
1. 🟠 Emily Pease (MID) – 66

Side note

The winners of the Fantasy Pig of the Year and Rookie of the Year Medals will be announced after lockout.

I won’t give away any clues but it went right down to the wire!
