Inside the Numbers Round 15 Wrap

Pete goes inside the fantasy numbers for another week.

There is a change happening in Brisbane under 1st year head coach Chris Fagan, the Lions conceded 392.1 Disposals between Rounds 1-10 (Rank 15) and have improved dramatically conceding 363.3 Disposals from their last 4 games (Rank 4). Previous thoughts on Brisbane giving up easy fantasy points may have to be realigned as a result of their recent form, the Lions conceded 1684.8 fantasy team points between Rounds 1-10 (Rank 15) and 1510.3pts from their last 4 games.

In the short term at least we can no longer assume a feast for opposition teams against the Lions, whilst young teams will waiver in the late part of a season this may be a trend heading into 2018 & beyond.

Despite their mini resurgence in the H&A season Hawthorn are still giving up big numbers, the Hawks have conceded 1768.5 fantasy team points from their last 4 games (Rank 17). Fremantle have conceded a league worst 1820.2 fantasy team points between Rounds 10-15, the Dockers play in order: Gold Coast, Sydney, Richmond & Essendon in the final 4 games of the H&A season.

A shout out to Collingwood who are still putting up large numbers despite a poor H&A season, the Magpies recorded their 6th straight 400+Disposal game in Round 15. If the head coaching position changes at Collingwood they will be a must watch in the 2018 pre-season for any game plan adjustments, any change may impact popular fantasy players.
