So our main man Rossco Lyon has announced six players who will rest this week for Fremantle. We aren’t sure if more will be added by the purple villain, but this is where we are at on Tuesday lunchtime.
In order of Fantasy popularity:
David Mundy (DEF/MID, $553,000). 32.13% / 105.6 ave
Aaron Sandilands (RUC, $513,000). 10.52% / 87.7 ave
Stephen Hill (MID, $521,000). 2.43% / 91.7 ave
Matthew Pavlich (FWD, $360,000). 2.28% / 69.1 ave
Luke McPharlin (DEF, $333,000). 1.23% / 64 ave
Lee Spurr (DEF, $403,000). 1.17% / 72.8 ave
So for most teams in Classic (Elite and other draft formats could be differnt), Mundy is the issue… to add to Dane Swan‘s injury – or the potential resting of Todd Goldstein as mooted by the Roos… plus let’s not forget about Ryan Griffen and Michael Hibberd who have been ruled out as well!
It was interesting that Michael Barlow wasn’t named up here, although one could argue he got a rest when he was vested for just 19 a couple of weeks ago. Youngster and Fantasy breakout star Lachie Neale has played every game but at this stage, he’ll be making the trip to Adelaide.
Lyon: McPharlin, Sandilands, Pavlich, Mundy, Hill and Spurr won’t play #foreverfreo
