Welcome back to the greatest captain advice in all the land. Calvin has been hitting sixes with his captains this year, once again proving he’s the best pirate-picking captain going around. Let’s get cracking to see who the great man has lined up for big scores this week. Good luck everyone!

GRUNDY v GAWN
Last year at the MCG when these two went head to head… Grundy scored 134 and Gawn posted 140 (9 tackles each). I can’t see those types of scores happening again. However, if you had to split them, then Grundy is clearly your man. Firstly, his form alone is elite and for this game – he’s back at the SCG where he has been awesome. Grundy has also averaged 128 in his last four games this year and is showing a thirst for the ball…. unlike Max.
On the Scale of Hardness – Gawn is rated as the second-hardest to score against whereas Grundy rates number 5 overall. Only one ruckman (Peter Wright) has scored triple-figures against the Gawn this year – as for Grundy, Marc Pittonet had 92 against him in the Opening round to be the best score against the RuckPig.
Having one of these as a captain could be a dangerous play… but, if it plays out like last time… two big scores could be on the cards.

No Butters against Adelaide surprises me. Has gone large in games where he doesn’t get tagged.
