What a complete waste of time. Was excited that my team was finally getting its preview and you guys just made a complete joke about them. When there is people like rocky, butters, ladhams, that are genuine options for classic. That was pathetic. 😡😡

Ladhams a genuine option for classic?? Maybe as forward but there’s better options at his price, like Butters but Rocky is too much to start. Pear have some options but not the most fantasy relevant team unless rookies get a go, like most of the top 8

Ladhams will be 85 plus average. Thats huge has a fwd under 600k. People have sloane ect.. who will score the same has ladhams and ladhams has fwd status which gives him the nod!

Ladhams is nearly 50k more than Rozee who is the Port forward I’d want if I were to have one. Needs to have a increase in ruck time to go 85+ IMO, isn’t as good a fwd scorer as a guy like Marshall who plays a similar role. There’s also guys like Caldwell and even Daniher and Buddy who are cheaper and present greater value. That being said, Ladhams could be a good POD to go with.

And just cause walsh scores 30 blopdy fantasy points more than rozee does not mean he is a better player. They are two conplete different players. Walsh plays in the guts, rozee is a game changer…

Ladham’s averaging 85? I want whatever you’re on mate .. he will go 70 maximum

My thoughts on Port:
– Rocky is just too expensive. I can also see Butters/Rozee getting more CBA’s this year which could affect Rocky. He can be an injury risk too.
– If Ladhams/Lycett both play, they cancel eachother out of fantasy calculations.
– Mead playing early would be great, but who is he pushing out of the midfield? Amon? If he does play early his JS would be a huge issue imo.
– I’ve considered Rozee, but it’s risky. If he’s 50/50 between mid and HF, then it’s a no. I want to see him at a bunch of CBA’s early and then I may jump on.
Jeepers, the boys were tough on Port but i think it’s deserved, they’re really not relevant unless Rocky goes HAM! lol

Burtons one who could be due for a breakout priced similar to Milera, age 24 season, injury interrupted last year and it was only a few years ago that he averaged 84 in his second year. I could see him average 85 plus which you’d take at that price.
The issue with Port is the way they run there midfield rotation particularly the centre bounce you’ve got Boak, Wines, Rockliff as the mainstays then powell-pepper, Houston, Gray, Butters, Rozee all rolling through there just doesn’t seem like enough there for Butters and Rozee to produce.

So where do we go to hear your ripper of a podcast, which will all have us finish in the top 100 this year. You are a top 100 finisher right? Talk the talk, walk the walk…

Righto! Haha. Mate, don’t be offended that your club doesn’t have many Fantasy relevant players. I’ve just finished writing my Tigers piece and they have bugger all… yet have won 3 of the last 4 flags.
Don’t take it personally.
Also, if you’re finishing higher than us every year, then you’re probably not taking too many Port players…

You take that back Warnie! Heaps of Tiges are relevant to my fantasies………. I reckon that these days better teams, like the mighty tiges play a team focused selfless style and have greater depth of talent which results in a more even points spread and therefore lower individual scores, not being fantasy relevant is a good thing in real life.

It’s interesting. They just don’t rack up numbers as a team either. In the piece I lead with how they were the sixth lowest scoring Fantasy team last year. The five teams below them on the Fantasy points table were all bottom six teams.
They just have a style that doesn’t see them rack up big scores. They’re mid-table for the main Fantasy stat categories (12th for disposals, 10th marks, 8th tackles).

True, tiges perhaps not the greatest example, the game plan has a strong focus on gaining territory and applying pressure rather than the Collingwood keepsie offsies garbage. I look forward to the article, love your work.
