The biggest question leading into the next lockout is how each club will be lining up for their second round of footy. With a dozen weeks between outings, we could see some very different squads lining up based on suspension, round one/lockdown/mini-pre-season injuries and players returning after their own injuries. There is a panic that three trades may not be enough, but remember, we only have to field 22 players – hopefully you had plenty on your bench from the get go.
Each game of round two is profiled by Roy, Calvin and Warnie to include the Rd 1 teams for each club and their possible ins/outs.
The Traders discussed the possible ins and outs on the podcast this week. Listen below.

COLLINGWOOD

POSSIBLE INS
Jaidyn Stephenson is probably the most likely to come in, Lyndon Dunn and Travis Varcoe have joined full training with Varcoe to more likely the come into the side while Adam Treloar (Buckley said they aren’t anticipating him to play in round two),
POSSIBLE OUTS
Brody Mihocek (foot soreness) will train fully tomorrow, but should be fine. Tyler Brown is among the rookie woes, but with Treloar all but ruled out and Brown’s 50%+ use at centre bounces, he should retain his spot.
RICHMOND
B: Broad, Grimes, Astbury
HB: Baker, Vlastuin, Short
C: Caddy, Prestia, Graham
HF: Rioli, Edwards, Castagna
F: Lynch, Martin, Riewoldt
R: Soldo, Cotchin, Lambert
INT: Pickett, Bolton, Nankervis, Stack
EMG: Ross, McIntosh, Coleman-Jones, Garthwaite

F: Rohan, Hawkins, Ratugolea
R: Fort, Selwood, Narkle
INT: Ablett, Duncan, Guthrie, Clark
EMG: Simpson, Stanley, Jenkins, Parfitt
POSSIBLE INS
Jake Kolodjashnij should return after a hip injury. Jack Steven, who was likely for round two, probably won’t play following his incident last week.
POSSIBLE OUTS
Zac Guthrie. You’d think they’d stick with Darcy Fort, but Rhys Stanley was fit for round one and the Cats are known for the ruck merry-go-round.
HAWTHORN
B: Stratton, Frawley, McEvoy
HB: Sicily, Frost, Smith
C: Henderson, O’Meara, Scully
HF: Breust, Burgoyne, Morrison
F: O’Brien, Patton, Wingard
R: Ceglar, Worpel, Mitchell
INT: Puopolo, Shiels, Gunston, Hanrahan
EMG: Nash, Scrimshaw, Hartley, Cousins
POSSIBLE INS
Defender Blake Hardwick (torn pectorial) hept him out of round one but he should return with a fit Mitch Lewis up forward.
POSSIBLE OUTS
Jaeger O’Meara (fractured face) will be touch and go. Tim O’Brien most likely makes way for Lewis.
BRISBANE LIONS
B: Adams, Andrews, Gardiner
HB: Rich, Birchall, Answerth
C: Robinson, Lyons, McCluggage
HF: Bailey, Hipwood, Rayner
F: McInerney, McStay, Cameron
R: Martin, Zorko, Neale
INT: Berry, McCarthy, Witherden, Starcevich,
EMG: Robertson, Lester, Ballenden, Coleman,
(LATE CHANGE: Robertson in, Birchall out)
POSSIBLE INS
Grant Birchall was a late out in round one.
POSSIBLE OUTS
Marcus Adams is a definite out after having foot surgery and Stefan Martin (PCL in round one) is racing the clock. Most likely that both of the young guns in Deven Robertson (the late in) and Brandon Stracevich survive.
FREMANTLE
B: Ryan, Logue, Hughes
HB: Conca, Cox, Duman
C: Bewley, Fyfe, Aish
HF: Sturt, Taberner, Banfield

R: Darcy, Tucker, Brayshaw
INT: Cerra, Schultz, Crowden, McCarthy
EMG: Serong, Blakely, Watson, Matera
POSSIBLE INS
David Mundy (broken leg), Nathan Wilson (toe) and Blake Acres (hamstring) should be good to line up in round two. Joel Hamling (ankle) has recovered from surgery. Jesse Hogan has been training.
POSSIBLE OUTS
Is it Mitch Crowden, Ethan Hughes and maybe Lachie Schulz who make way? Keep an eye on the fitness of Sam Sturt (who was great in round one) as he is in doubt due to a back injury which makes him work out twice as hard using the new sarms.
CARLTON
B: Plowman, Jones, Docherty
HB: Newman, Weitering, Petrevski-Seton
C: Walsh, Cripps, Newnes
HF: Dow, McGovern, Martin
F: Gibbons, Casboult, Silvagni
R: Kreuzer, Murphy, Curnow
INT: Simpson, Setterfield, Fisher, Cunninham
POSSIBLE INS
We could possibly see Marc Pittonet make his Blues debut with Kreuzer out (Tom De Koning injured), but in 16-min quarters, they may roll with Casboult who was solid when Kreuz went down if Harry McKay plays. Eddie Betts and Caleb Marchbank should be available.
POSSIBLE OUTS
Matthew Kreuzer (foot) will be on the sidelines. Paddy Dow, Michael Gibbons and Will Setterfield (likely to hold spot) would be under some pressure.
MELBOURNE
B: Jetta, May, Lever
HB: O.McDonald, Harmes, Hibberd
C: Langdon, Oliver, Tomlinson
HF: Neal-Bullen, Fritsch, Viney
F: Spargo, T.McDonald, Brayshaw
R: Gawn, Petracca, Melksham
INT: Lockhart, Bedford, Brown, Pickett
EMG: Weideman, Sparrow, Hore, Jackson
POSSIBLE INS
Regular best 22 players Nathan Jones (Achilles) and Christian Salem (glandular fever) should get a gig, but all of the talk is about Harley Bennell doing all of the right things… and dare I say it, training the house down. At $224k, he could be a popular rookie option if we lose a few.
POSSIBLE OUTS
Is it Jay Lockhart, Toby Bedford and Charlie Spargo the first out?
GOLD COAST SUNS
B: Budarick, Graham, Lukosius
HB: Bowes, Collins, Fiorini
C: Ellis, Greenwood, Anderson
HF: MacPherson, Day, Ainsworth
F: Swallow, King, Holman
R: Witts, Miller, Weller
INT: Brodie, Joyce, Lemmens, Rowell
EMG: Burgess, Dawson, Schoenfeld, Wright
POSSIBLE INS
Some experienced defenders like Jarrod Harbrow, Pearce Hanley and Jack Hombsch are likely ins. Alex Sexton is best 22 and should make the cut. Izak Rankine is fit and might be a must-have $170k forward to select if given his debut.
POSSIBLE OUTS
David Swallow was suspended for one match. Connor Budarick has to be the first out of defence with Caleb Graham also on the chopping block. Depending on the changes, we may see Will Brodie and Nick Holman on the outer.
WEST COAST EAGLES
B: Sheppard, Barrass, Hurn
HB: Jetta, McGovern, Duggan
C: Gaff, Yeo, Brander
HF: Redden, Darling, Sheed
F: Ryan, Kennedy, Cripps

POSSIBLE OUTS
No one of note.
PORT ADELAIDE
B: Burton, Clurey, Bonner
HB: Hartlett, Jonas, Byrne-Jones
C: Duursma, Rockliff, Amon
HF: Powell-Pepper, Marshall, Rozee
F: Butters, Ebert, Gray
R: Lycett, Houston, Boak
INT: Motlop, McKenzie, Georgiades, Westhoff
EMG: Farrell, Mayes, Ladhams, Lienert
(LATE CHANGE: Lienert in, Bonner out)
POSSIBLE INS
Ollie Wines is fit to play and Charlie Dixon may force his way in after recovering from a groin injury. Jack Watts is also fully fit…
POSSIBLE OUTS
The Cannon, Trent McKenzie, was solid in round one against the Suns, but is probably one of the first out. Dixon would most likely replace Mitch Georgiades or Peter Ladhams. Despite round one injuries, Hamish Hartlett (quad) and Brad Ebert (knee) are apparently good to go as is Robbie Gray (broken toe) who was injured after a mishap with some weights
ADELAIDE
B: Brown, Talia, Laird
HB: Milera, McAsey, Smith
C: Seedsman, M.Crouch, Walker
HF: Jones, Frampton, Lynch
F: Murphy, Fogarty, Stengle
R: O’Brien, B.Crouch, Sloane
INT: Gibbs, Kelly, Atkins, Davis
EMG: Poholke, Mackay, Himmelberg, Hamill
POSSIBLE INS
Tom Doedee should walk back into the team now that he is fit (he was going to play SANFL trial in round one). Maybe Miles Poholke or Riley Knight comes in for Stengle.
POSSIBLE OUTS
Tyson Stengle has been suspended for 4 weeks for a drink driving incident during lockdown. Fischer McAsey will make way for Doedee if he comes straight back in.
GWS GIANTS
B: Corr, Taylor, Haynes
HB: Perryman, Davis, Cumming
C: Lloyd, Coniglio, Whitfield
HF: Langdon, Cameron, de Boer
F: Daniels, Finlayson, Himmelberg
R: Jacobs, Kelly, Hopper
INT: Shaw, Kennedy, Greene, Green
EMG: Hately, Reid, Mumford, Ash
POSSIBLE INS
Callan Ward and Zac Williams are almost certain ins for the Giants.
POSSIBLE OUTS
Isaac Cumming is a short priced favourite to be the casualty for Williams and first gamer Tom Green may be the unlucky man out for Ward.
NORTH MELBOURNE
B: Macmillan, Tarrant, McDonald
HB: Pittard, Walker, Atley
C: Dumont, Cunnington, Polec
HF: Thomas, Larkey, Higgins
F: Ziebell, Brown, Zurhaar
R: Goldstein, Anderson, Simpkin
INT: Ahern, Murphy, Taylor, Hall
EMG: Garner, Xerri, Bonar
POSSIBLE INS
Majak Daw missed round one with illness.
POSSIBLE OUTS
Tom Murphy? Fingers crossed Curtis Taylor, who was better later in the game, holds his spot.
SYDNEY SWANS
B: Aliir, Rampe, O’Riordan
HB: Mills, McCartin, Dawson
C: Cunningham, Kenney, Lloyd
HF: Hayward, Blakey, Gray
F: Papley, Heeney, Ronke
R: Naismith, Parker, Rowbottom
INT: Brand, Florent, McInerney, Taylor
EMG: Fox, Clarke, Hewett, Sinclair
POSSIBLE INS
Lance Franklin was set to return but hurt his hamstring this week.
POSSIBLE OUTS
No one of note.
ESSENDON
B: Francis, Hurley, Zerk-Thatcher
HB: Saad, Ridley, Redman
C: Langford, McGrath, Zaharakis
HF: Fantasia, Laverde, Smith
F: Stringer, Townsend, McDonald-Tipungwuti
R: Bellchambers, Merrett, Shiel
INT: Parish, Snelling, Guelfi, Cutler
EMG: Gleeson, Ham, Phillips, McKenna
POSSIBLE INS
Sounds like Dyson Heppell won’t suit up in round two. Patrick Ambrose and Cale Hooker are the two most likely to return. Connor McKenna may need to get some more training in after returning from Ireland.
POSSIBLE OUTS
Brandon Zerk-Thatcher the most likely out, but if both Ambrose and Hooker are in, Jayden Laverde would be on the block.
ST KILDA
B: Geary, Wilkie, Howard
HB: Long, Clark, Roberton
C: Billings, Jones, Hill
HF: Lonie, King, Hannebery
F: Butler, Ryder, Membrey
R: Marshall, Steele, Gresham
INT: Kent, Ross, Dunstan, Paton
EMG: Coffield, Battle, Marsh, Sinclair
POSSIBLE INS
Jake Carlisle will return.
POSSIBLE OUTS
Jack Steele had an arthroscope on his wrist this week and may miss while Jade Gresham, who did a PCL in round one, looks to be ok. It will most likely be Ben Paton to make way for Carlisle.
WESTERN BULLDOGS
B: Keath, Cordy, Wood
HB: Crozier, Johannisen, Daniel
C: Smith, Bontempelli, Hunter
HF: Dale, Bruce, Suckling
F: Wallis, Naughton, Lloyd
R: English, Dunkley, Macrae
INT: Le. Young, Cavarra, Williams, Gardner
EMG: Schache, McLean, Richards, Sweet
POSSIBLE INS
Patrick Lipinski missed round one with concussion, so he should be right considering his big back-half of the year last season. Tom Liberatore has recovered from a knee. Taylor Duryea and Lin Jong are also fit.
POSSIBLE OUTS
Lachie Hunter has been suspended for 4 weeks for a drink driving incident during lockdown. Ben Cavarra made his debut, but is probably the first out after just three disposals in round one. Lewis Young probably joins him. Ryan Gardner also a chance to be dropped.
