Early News:Cooper Duff-Tytler will play in the WAFL this weekend after being unable to force his way back into the senior side. For the Tigers, Jasper Alger is available to face the Bombers, while Tom Sims will return via the VFL. Bulldogs ruck Tim English will not be available for the clash against Max Gawn and Melbourne this Sunday as he continues to manage concussion symptoms. Coach Luke Beveridge has indicated the club will take a conservative approach given English’s concussion history, and that he remains around one to two weeks away. Brisbane veteran Dayne Zorko is expected to return against the Giants on Sunday. Brayden Fiorini will unfortunately miss the remainder of the season due to a back injury. Todd Marshall is expected to return for Port Adelaide, while late news has Caleb Serong expected to miss 2-3 weeks for Fremantle with a calf injury.
Wednesday – Early news
Round 11 is here, and it marks the second week of Sir Doug Nicholls Round, continuing the celebration and recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander players, cultures, and communities across the AFL. Early News: Confirming the news from yesterday, Cameron Nairn (FWD/MID $274k) will debut for the Hawks. Dayne Zorko is a test this week, as is cashcow Gallop, while unfortunately Oscar Steene has been ruled out for the season. Darcy Cameron has been given the all clear to ruck for the Pies. Peter Wright has suffered a knee injury, which could potentially mean more ruck time for Nick Bryan, unless Blakiston is called up again to handle more ruck duties. Bailey Smith had some shoulder concerns at training during the week and is a small watch. Caleb Windsor, Josh Lai, and Jasper Alger are all tests this week. Concerningly, Tim English is still out under HIA protocols, which is never a good sign.
