We don’t know the return date as yet, but in a fortnight we should. Roy, Calvin and Warnie mull over when it could be and what we might need to think about for Fantasy. An old friend leaves a message for the boys and Todd Goldstein is chopped from the Team of the Decade. Calvin isn’t allowed to have a say on the best forwards from the last 10 years as the squad is finalised. As The Traders remember the past, they look at their favourite stories from over the years and the Fantasy cult heroes that go down in folklore.

Hi Warnie this team we can pick with just one player from each team. Does the team have to come within the Fantasy Salary Cap or can we just pick our best players without thinking of the prices?

Yep – one player per team, but 5-7-1-5 (as you’ve done below). I’ll post some stuff on social and get something up here on the weekend for people to post in.

Opps my mistook having Billings in Forward Line as he is now a Blue So I’ll go Roberton instead of Houli and chuck Dusty in the Forward Line.

Hi Cal, maybe it is a bit eary to ask about Trading but seeing the season will be shorter are we better off trading into our teams experienced players or are we better off trading in the Rookies.
1 Out T Greene In H Young out Dunkley In Selwood Out Rowell In Ward
2 Out T Greene In H Young Out Starcevich In Rankin Out Cavarra In Sturt

There is so much that will happen over the next few weeks, it’s hard to know what advice to give! I will honestly be waiting to see the state of play before really looking at anything.
But in general, it would be the durable ‘middle aged’ players I will be looking at. Older players might be more likely for a rest in the condensed format and the rookies will be managed. That’s a general comment, but how I see it playing out. Might ask Freako for some stats on that.
Option 2 would be where I would be heading. While I like Selwood and Ward as ins there, I think Rowell should be right to play. Rookies will be the key… who gets a gig in round 2 (or week 2) is going to dictate a lot.

Thanks Warnie,
While we have a break for a few weeks/ Months I’ve been trying a few options. I really don’t want to lose Rowell but I thought by Trading him out it might be worth it as that would give me enough money to bring Ward and Selwood in. Plus the reason I wanted to bring in Selwood was because in his next game he plays GCS at home. Plus bringing in the 2 experience mids might be better seeing the year is going to be cut short. Or would I be better off Trading.
