Roy’s Trade and Rolling 22 Talk – Rd. 17

With plenty of bullets flying around, Roy gives you a few trade options as well as updating his Rolling 22.

  • Roy

Get them in:

Zac Williams (DEF, $604,000)
Since returning from injury, Williams has been of fire with a three game average of 113 and he hasn’t gone under triple figures in that time. His ownership still remains low at 14% and that is predominantly people that held him from the start rather than trading him in. There are slight concerns the return of Lachie Whitfield will slow him down but with the Giants injury concerns, I doubt it will bother him. He has a BE of 52 and is a great upgrade target for that price.

Tom Rockliff (MID, $740,000)
The Pig returned from a hamstring complaint through the SANFL where he racked up a lazy 52 possessions for 200+ points and he carried his form into the top competition with 150. He has a five round average of 111 and is a prime cash grab candidate for Josh Kelly owners to take a cash grab. The Power have one of the best runs for midfielders for the remainder of the season and we know Rocky is one of the all time greats.

Rowan Marshall (RUC/FWD, $704,000)
The big Saint keeps getting it done and his 108 on the weekend was very impressive given it was in a loss and against Todd Goldstein. He is averaging 114 in his last five which makes him a viable option in both the forward line or ruck department especially given his next two match ups are as easy as it gets for rucks with the Cats and Dogs giving up huge numbers to opposition big men.

Jack Billings (FWD/MID, $708,000)
The once frustrated Billings owners and now walking around like peacocks… and rite-fully so given the Saint midfielders five game average of 113. He now has a season average of 100 and a break even of 82 with massive scores of 170 and 128 within his last four weeks.

James Sicily (DEF, $570,000)
The Hawks ‘swingman’ finally looks settled in the back line and given the fact he has bottomed out on the back of an impressive 121. Know we know with Sic Dawg isn’t going to come without the odd headache but for that price he is undeniable value. After this week, his draw isn’t the easiest for defenders but at his best he is in the mix for the top six defenders.

You… Get the Chop

Connor Blakely (DEF, $544,000)
After scoring an impressive 104 with plenty of time running through the middle against the Blues, it was a harsh wakeup call against the Eagles where he scored about 5 points in the second half to finish on 42. If you are forced to hold, he has a good match up against the Hawks this week but if you can trade him out, do it.

My Trades

At this stage my trades are Kelly to Rockliff and Logue to Williams.

CASH $2k So after so many forced trades I haven’t any cash…Really love Logue off my Field…But have to go Kelly to Whit…Duncan,Rocky,Treloar…..but unable to upgrade logue to anyone decent..so thinking with my 2nd trade downgrade Baker to a rookie Cash over 200k for a logue or Clarke upgrade next week.

Probably do what u said, what will you do if Gawn doesn’t play? Could take a punt and go Kelly to the bont, I notice his last 3 games he’s back in some good form and the dogs have had very few changes to the the team and are winning so you would think his role wouldn’t change,

You prob need a downgrade this week to get some cash flowing for next week. With all ur bench blokes not worth much is a bit tough, could sack Logue for Quaynor if he dose what he did last week a few more games that would help u a but he will be stuck at d6

Other option is Kelly to bont Logue to Blicavs he’s got a last 3 ave of 85 and is playing in the ruck more (basically another mid and cats have a good run coming up) but doubt he’s a keeper

That’s all I got for ya

    My Team:
DEF: Lloyd, Laird, Stewart, Smith, Duursma, Logue (Naish, Gardner)
MID: Kelly, Duncan, Gaff, Merrett, B.Crouch, Cogs, Macrae, Brayshaw (Clarke, Baker)
    RUCK: Grundy, Gawn (Clarke, Flynn)
FWD: Boak, Dangerfield, Kelly, Dusty, Ziebell, Worpel (Cameron, Young)

    Cash: $52k.
I’m thinking of going, Logue to Sicily and Baker to Kyle Dunkley, leaves $21k for next week thoughts on trades? As Kelly is out for 3 weeks thoughts on holding this week and then trading next week as I think I’d rather field Dylan Clarke for a week and trade Kelly next week then be stuck with Logue on field again.

My team with only 31k in bank and still 2 rookies on field
    Lloyd/Houli/Stewart/Guthrie/B Smith/Rozee (answerth/Naish)
    J Kelly/treloar/macrae/cong/rocky/Duncan/B Crouch/stack (hind/O Baker)
    Grundy/witts (fort/Cameron)
    Boak/dunkley/T Kelly/dusty/Ziebell/Worpel (Atkins/gardener)
J Kelly is first trade then either Rozee or Guthrie
    But
Who is best to bring in

No cash in the bank! Still playing Logue as my last rookie but need to trade Kelly…

    Kelly to Cogs or Merrett
Logue to Quaynor to play on field

    OR radical

    Kelly to Marc Murphy
    Logue to Sicily

Then my “worst” on field player is Murphy instead of Quaynor – ride the breakevens and get Murph to Whitfield in a week or two

    Thoughts?

Some advice/feedback would be handy.. looking to offload Merrett, have $820k in the bank, don’t have Rocky but possibly looking for a unique if viable. Already have Fyfe, Duncan, Macrae, B Crouch and Cogs.

Just trying to be a little different if possible

Best Mid option for max price of 661k??

    best options seem to be:

Shiel – Easy run home and shouldn’t cop a tag with remaining games
Cripps – Risky back from injury and will cop a tag. upside is his ceiling though
Sloan – Hard run home with tags looking to come his way the next 3 rounds
Hunter – Risky pick all together don’t know hat hes going to dish up

need help in making my decision haha

Ziebell’s average since being in the middle is over 110. He has to be ahead of dusty and tim kelly based on recent form, (and possibly even billings as well)
