Jobe Watson (MID, $7,700) I’m always looking for a player or two with premium scoring potential for around that $7K marks and Jobe fits that criteria perfectly this week. He has a great record coming off a break with an average of 86 the week before a rest and an average of 99 after. He has a dream game against Freo who rank number one for points conceded over the last five weeks.

David Zaharakis (MID, $9,600) is a significantly better scorer in wins than he is losses. Check out these numbers:

Last 8 losses: 91 avg (24 touches)

Last 8 wins:  117 avg (32 touches)

Therefore, if you think the Bombers have the Docker rabble covered and keeping in mind they conceded 7 tons last week vs Tigers (and 4 scores over 120)… you pick him.

Toby Nankervis (RUC, $7,300)  is back to solo rucking and what do you know – he pumps out a 140. At this price the big man basically picks himself without his sidekick. Does it make that much difference you may ask?

Last 5 without Soldo:  71 avg.

Last 5 with Soldo:        92 avg.
He is only this cheap due to the extended run of games with Soldo, so take advantage of it.

Luke Dunstan (MID, $8,400) is arguably the form player of the competition as he was one of only two players heading into this round on a streak of five straight tons, with the other being Taylor Adams who was $2.3K more in his game. A value pick given the impressive consistency at a high level.

Sam Jacobs (RUC, $9,000) is the pick of the big men with form and match up on his side. He has scored 97 or more in five of his last six games and most of those were against respected rucks. This week the West Coast Ruck Rule  is in play as they have conceded BY FAR the most points to opposition rucks over the last 6 weeks. He could pump out a season high.

My shout team!

Josh Kennedy (FWD, $7,900)  Eagles will know before the game whether they can make the finals, which requires Freo to beat Essendon in Victoria… Which isn’t happening. Surely they’ll just look to feed JJK all day so he can win his 3rd-straight Coleman? Kennedy has a decent record against the Crows, kicking bags of 3 and 5 against them last year and he will need his best after Buddy’s bag that leaves Kennedy five behind. The added bonus is JJK has a ceiling as we all know, producing scores of 180, 177, 160 and 157 over his career. Not something you can say for many players sitting under $8k in Moneyball.

Goodluck!
