Roy’s Trade Talk – Round 22

My Twitter feed has been filled with questions about unique options to get them over the line in the Prelim, and boy oh boy, do I have some rippers for you with under 10% ownership!

Yep, he is doing it again! Josh Kennedy (MID, 578,000) is finishing the year like an absolute steam train with an average of 126 in his last three games and 124 in his last five. He hasn’t been below triple figures for seven straight weeks and within that time boasts whopping scores of 131 and 156. This week is a slight unknown with the game against the Roos being down at Blunstone in Tassie, although I think he will have a field day, before bringing it home in a Fantasy feast against the Tigers at the SCG.

Here is a unique name that I have been whipping hard in Moneyball, Dom Tyson (MID, $502,000) is in career best form, averaging 120 in his last three, but what is even more impressive is the fact he has gone over 123 in three of his last four, with a low of 110 in that time.  He is cheap and owned by just .5% of the competition.

If you have concerns about Stef’s ability to score while sharing ruck duties, the perfect unique to go with is Brodie Grundy (RUC, $528,000) who is having a career year averaging 99 for the season. His form in the last three rounds is outstanding with an average of 115 in that time. He has a great ceiling for a ruck with four scores over 119 in his last six games, of which less than 5% of the competition are enjoying.

My favorite is the Bont, Marcus Bontempelli (MID, $538,000) who is in ridiculous form with a five game average of 112, and realistically, he has been in that form for the majority of the year barring a slow start. What excites me most on the back of his 137 against the Pies is his upcoming draw against the Bombers at ES, followed by the Dockers at DS. He will be massive.

Talk about not missing a beat! Since returning from injury, Bachar Houli (DEF, $472,000) has been on fire with a three game average of 111 which puts his rivals to shame over that time. He doesn’t quite fit my criteria with an ownership of 11%, but he is close enough and deserves a mention leading into a promising game against the Saints at the G.
