    Grand Final Result: Won all three of my leagues by about 150 pts in each.
    Norm Smith Medalist: Gary Ablett – after a slow start turned out a great score especially in the 2nd half
    DT Studs: Ablett, Swan, Rockliff, Goddard, Boomer, Mackie, Waters
    DT Duds: NO ONE except ROK – retired from my team for good.
    Vent/Brag/Whatever:
    Happy with the season, I managed my team very well and kept trades for the crucial last 4 or 5 rounds. In one league I was 1-5 after 6 matches and in 14th position and won the next 12 to win the GF.

    Vent/Brag/Whatever: Smashed all 3 opponents, smallest win was 200+ points. Had the same hollow feeling as watching the ’07 Grand Final.

I really did have a Norm Smith because I did so badly so I gave it to a unique player being Rockcliff and hope he wins rising star because he deserves it. My opposition being the same in 2 of my leagues ranked 29,989 become very good in the finals and had only 1 dount but covered it with a Davis 60. Ryder the spud who I got in last week to save a Sandi 0 withdrew leaving me no trades for the grand final killed me aswell because I could of had some DPP to help me cover but no. Today in DT terms was pretty bad but the only GOOD news I can think of is the Knightmare is gone from Essendon and I’m looking forward to a new coach!

    Vent/Brag/Whatever: 10 hundreds, 6 dud scores and 2 donuts. i say it every year but never seem to do it, have to have at least 4 trades left before the final series starts, and probably 2 before grand final match up with so many players rested each year. 2nd lowest score for the year saved for the GF.

    Vent/Brag/Whatever: 11 hundreds in final round is pretty good, to go with my top 1000 finish (700′s). I think the AFL should look at introducing a rule where any player who is a late withdrawal can not play the following week either. This would stop teams from naming players they know aren’t going to play (eg. Enright, Selwood). The only late withdrawals would then be players who get injured at Friday training or gameday warmups, if they’re genuinely injured they would prabably miss the following week anyway. At least Alistair Clarkson did the right thing and named Hodge out on Thursday, so those of us with trades left could do something about it.

    Vent/Brag/Whatever: Wasn’t really expecting to win any of my leagues but traded out Hodge for Pav and had Smith cover Enright so I had no donuts. My opponents had no trades or cover, so their donuts got me over the line.

    Best & Fairest: Chappy – Despite having “dodgy hammies” I had you from the start and you repaid me by scoring more than 250 more than the next highest forward in the comp.
    Hero of the year: Goes without saying – Barlow. You’re a champ both on the field (wish you were back) and for DT a rookie as a captain choice, awesome!
    Villian of the year: Leon f$%^&ing Davis. 99.1 avg last year, 63 this year – I only traded you when you got injured in round 20 because “he’ll come good” and “he’s gone down too much to trade” – lost me 176k and a valuable trade – you suck
    Bench award: Gumby, Warnock, Maguire and Smith all won me games throughout the year, well done boys.
    Boats Missed: Rockliff, Howlett
    Masterstroke: Trading in McNeil for Gysberts in Round 18. Despite never playing a game or scoring a point, you gave me a handy 83k and dual position goodness so I could move my forwards and mids around to cover my outs.

In my second league i needed Boak to score 133 for me to win as he was the only player left on Sunday for either team and he smashed out 148! Needless to say it was an excellent finish to the season. I’ll be picking him first next year and I told my girlfriend that she can root him if she ever meets him.
