Let’s get into the goodness… good luck this week!
🏴☠️ Brayshaw v ADEL
@ Optus, FRI 8:10pm
Let’s kick this off with Brayshaw who has averaged 116 in his last three games and his 106 last week was his lowest score in his last four games. Last year against the Crows he had 84… but did have better results prior to that with 108, 120 and 111. He has averaged 102 at Optus this year with 119 and 110 coming in his most recent. The Crows can be tricky though and although last week against the Crows the Giant midfielders were good, only two players have hit 110-plus against them this year and that was Merrett 138 and Simpkin 117. Should be great again despite not having the ‘ideal’ match-up.
🏴☠️ Clark v Adelaide
@ Optus, FRI 8:10pm
For the first time this year, Clark makes the top-10 and I’m expecting big things from this guy this week and it’s all about the match-up. Last week, I chased Whitfield (143) in this game as my No. 3 overall and he didn’t disappoint. This is because, before that it was Holmes 123, Rioli 113, Daniel 115 and NWM 113 that all cashed in. He could get off the hook here for those who like a punt.
🏴☠️ Daicos v ESS
@ MCG, FRI 3:20pm
Daicos is coming off 131, 136, 76 and 136… elite numbers with 3×130+ scores in his last four games. Although he could, and most likely will cop attention from Setterfield/Durham (Durham tagged Rozee 84 this year)… he’s untaggable at the moment and doing things his own way. This is a big game, on the biggest stage. He scored 102 and 98 (team highest) on the Bombers last year (no tags) and over his ANZAC Day games he has had 98, 140 and 77. The Bombers don’t give up heaps to MIDs with just 6×100+ this year. Last week no Eagles hit 100, but the week before we saw Petracca 104 and Oliver 98 do ok for their standards. Dawson 134 and Crouch 131 did hit big ones earlier this year though. Form has been great and on the big stage, he is set for a big one. NOTE: Underlined games are from the ANZAC Day round.
🏴☠️ Dawson v FREM
@ Optus, FRI 8:10pm
Dawson had 123 (5m, 8t) last week and if he can get around the ground and takes some marks… another 120 is on the way. He had 100 (at OS) on the Dockers last year and a nice 122 before that. Look… his form is up there with the best with 123, 92, 118, 85, 134 and 126 this year. Melbourne had 4×110-plus on Freo last week but they all took bulk marks, and Petracca was the only MID to hit 100. In fact, Petracca is just the 4th MID to hit triple figures against the Dockers this year. Get marks, get points… simple!
🏴☠️ Dunkley v St Kilda
@ Marvel, SAT 1:20pm
If the Dogs can have 9×100+ scores with five of them over 110+ against the Saints last week, how can this fella avoid not scoring. The Dogs had 1860pts last week and last year against them Dunks managed just 83 and 87. The Saints gave up so many points last week, someone has to cash in. Coming off 97 and 98… surely he finds heaps here.
🏴☠️ Gawn v RICH
@ MCG, THURS 7:30pm
Over Gawn’s career, Richmond are his second-favourite team (across 12 games) to score against and against Nank… his record is elite. Last year, Gawn won the Medal for his score of 134 and prior to that he had 131, 96 (Grundy effected) and 119 against the Tigers. He is coming off scores of 125 and 118, and rucks against Nank have been feasting this year with Marshall 123 and TDK 132 leading the way. NOTE: Underlined games are from the ANZAC Day round.
🏴☠️ Merrett v COLL
@ the MCG, FRI 3:20pm
In his last five games against Collingwood, Merrett has gone nuts with 120, 123, 146, 121 and 115…. and he has scored 123, 115, 125, 108, 109 and 137 in his last six ANZAC Day clashes. His form has been elite (until last week) with 81, 134, 108 and 138. Look… that is a lot of big numbers I’ve posted up there and this means… he too loves the big stage and always, I repeat… ALWAYS rises up in this game. He has already scored 138 and 96 at the MCG this year but the Magpies can be a little restrictive and allowed no Lion to hit 100 last week. Collingwood (like Ess) have only given opposition MIDs 6×100+ this year and last week it was Heeney 102, but before that it was Walsh 137, Hewy 109 and Cerra 105 all cashing in. I’ve said enough… Merrett will bounce back this week and reward those who back him in… just look at those numbers once again!
🏴☠️ Newcombe v Eagles
@ Marvel, SUN 4:45pm
Oh yeah… I like the Newc and he has been awesome with 118, 118, 77 and 142 in his last four games. Back him in, trade him in! He had 99 on the Eagles last year and 113 in the year before that… but as we know, the Eagles aren’t much chop and he should feast. Even though last week only Setterfield (107) hit 100 against the Eagles, I think this will be more reflective of what the Blues did the round before when Walsh 126, Super-Hewy 121 and Cerra 101 did what was expected. Back the man in!
🏴☠️ Walsh v Geelong
@ MCG, SUN 3:20pm
With recent scores of 85, 126 and 137… Walsh is tricky to read. He has a super record against the Cats though with previous scores of 113, 102, 105 and 132 coming in his last four games. He has a ceiling and can explode at any stage. I’ll back him in for a big one here.
🏴☠️ Whitfield v DOGS
@ Manuka, SAT 7:35pm
Whitfield is the No. 1 ranked player in the game on form averaging 123 in his last three games after a huge 143 last week. He scored 120, 105 and 137 at Manuka last year and if the rain stays away, he’ll be great again. He has played the Dogs 15 times in his career and from those 15 games he has scored 11×100+ scores. Wowzers! They are his favourite team to score against and last year he had 147 and 100 against them… with 134, 130 and 121 prior to that. The Dogs are a tricky read after what they did to the Saints last week, but seriously… these numbers have been good over his career against the Dogs… so why would that change now?

Thoughts on Briggs as Captain this week?
Can’t believe you’re copping crap for people making their own decisions about their own team. Soldier on Captain Cal, were taking Gawn’s 138 tomorrow
