Ahoy there, Legends! Welcome back to another quailty edition of Calvin’s Captains for Round 8!

Last week was huge with many of my top 10 smashing it out of the park. This week will be no exception, below are my top five picks for round 8 along with some players to be aware of who might be copping tags.

✅ 128, 151 v Suns last year and 137 and 125 before that.
✅ MIDs v Suns… Warner 119 and Taranto 120
✅ Form solid … averaging 111 this year had 113 last week
🌧️ Should be wet = tackles

🏴‍☠️ 3 – Gawn v WCE
@ Optus, SAT 7:35pm

✅ Great form….138 and 125 and 118.
✅ Meek scored 131 v Flynn last week
❌ Highest score in last five v Eagles… 87
🌧️ Might be wet… hit outs and tackles

🏴‍☠️ 4 – Newcombe v RICH
@ MCG, SUN 3:20pm 

✅ Richmond still No. 1 easiest for MIDs
✅ Newcombe had 121 against them last year
🤷‍♂️ 91 last week v WCE, but form has been great
🏟️ 118 and 142… last two at MCG

🏴‍☠️ 5 – Zorko v GCS
@ GABBA, SUN 7:20pm

✅ Destroys the Suns… 139 and 184 last year
✅ DEFs v Suns… Roberts 114 and Lloyd 109… Vlastiun 129
🏟️ Loves playing at the GABBA
🤷‍♂️ Form dodgey despite 124 last week.

BEWARE OF…

Lachie Whitfield – was tagged by James Jordon three times last year to scores of 94, 108 and 48.
Chad Warner – he could be targeted by Bedford this week, unless he goes to Heeney.
Tom De Koning – no ruckman has hit 100 against Reilly O’Brien this year, where Xerri 77and Marshall 64 have failed.
George Hewett – he’s been so good, but the Crows have only given up 3×110+ scores to MIDs this year.
Bailey Smith – over the last three weeks, the highest scoring midfielder against the Pies was Merrett (106).
