CALVIN’S TOP – 5
#1 – Zach Merrett v Carlton
@ the MCG, SUN 7:15pm
155, 111 and 158 are his last scores and therefore he needs to be on top. Anyone capable of hitting 150 needs to be and he’s not done it twice in the last two weeks. Petracca 118 was good last week against the Blues and before that we saw Sydney have 6×100+ and Collingwood gather 4×100+. Why can’t he go 150 again?
#2 – Tim English v Port Adelaide
@ Marvel Stadium, FRI 7:50pm
He didn’t play the Power last year but… Port rank as #1 easiest for RUCs this year with Reeves 71, Nank 107, Gawn 66/Grundy 71 and Goldstein 128 the last to battle Port and their rucks combinations. Another great VC option is a great match-up.
#3 – Jordan Dawson v West Coast
@ Adelaide Oval, SAT 4:35pm
Eagles are #1 easiest for MIDs in the last five weeks and they are getting close to taking over from St Kilda with the #1 easiest MID mantle. Last three teams to play against the Eagles…. Mitchell 124, Daicos 114, Redman 125, Martin 124, Merrett 111, Nash 130, Lewis 126, Sicily 125 and Newcombe 113. He has averaged 117 since round 4, and will cash in.
#4 – Tim Taranto v Fremantle
@ Optus Stadium, SAT 7:25pm
I have Taranto at 110 to 125 this week, which means we could have others going higher. 130, 145, 120 and 129 in ridiculous form and he has now hit 120+ in seven games this year. Freo have been tough in recent weeks only giving up 4×100+ scores in the last four weeks.
#5 –Andrew Brayshaw v Richmond
@ Optus Stadium, SAT 7:25pm
Brayshaw scored 98 and 158 in his last two games against the Tigers who have been giving up points… Ward (134), Green (115), Cogs (101) were good last week, before that we Butters and Rozee hit 100+, and then we had Merrett (158), Ridley (127), McGrath (117), Caldwell (112) and two others hitting 100+.
HIGHLY RATED…
Tom Green v Kangaroos – Last week we saw Merrett 155, Martin 111 and Caldwell 109 all score well on the Roos and prior to that it was DeGoey 127, Daicos 116, Mitchell 112 and Pendles 102.
Josh Dunkley v Hawthorn – 112 and 125 were his scores before this bye and he should tear the Hawks a new one like others before him. Butters 129 and Rozee 121 dominated them last week as they are the #3 easiest for MIDs in the five weeks.

That was the game Lovett went down injured in the first quarter though. If you look at port when he plays a full game, they are actually quite hard for rucks to score against.

Bloody auto correct
English was absolutely dominating Lycett all game, he wasn’t injured. They had to sub him off and double up on English with Dixon and Finlayson and that’s what won them the game. The Dogs chopped English out with Lobb and that’s when Port started to dominate clearances.
