The byes are gone, but the carnage isn’t, with many coaches copping at least one bullet, but many copping 3 or 4+. It started last Saturday night, with Braydon Preuss being subbed out injured, while also being suspended for his tackle on Tim English, who is another massive out after suffering from delayed concussion as a result of that tackle. Zak Butters is the other massive out with a knee injury, but it came at the worst time as he was on fire before the injury. Some coaches also had to hold Max Gawn, who didn’t play last night, Brynn Teakle would have been very useful for English owners, but he is out for a while after breaking his collarbone, Dayne Zorko didn’t play with his hamstring injury, Darcy Parish is out again, and some coaches even have Jordan De Goey who is also missing. If you didn’t cop a bullet, then you should buy yourself a lotto ticket!
We had another Thursday night game so lets get stuck into what happened.
Melbourne vs Brisbane @ MCG
Hugh McCluggage (136) – Another big game from Hugh McCluggage. His last 3 scores are 118, 114 and 136. He’s too expensive for me to be an option, but if you have him you would have enjoyed.
Luke Jackson (125) – The big performer has to go to Luke Jackson. The most traded in player for the week delivered as the solo ruck. I didn’t jump on, but congrats if you did. I didn’t see a 125 coming.
Jack Viney (118) – Backed up his 157 before the bye with a 118. Probably the best Viney has looked. Similar to McCluggage, too expensive to consider.
Oscar McInerney (116) – Seems it was a ruck feast out there, with the Big O having his season high score.
Daniel Rich (112) – Has responded well after that poor 37 in round 11, following up with 125, 97 and 112 in his last 3. I don’t see him being a top 6 defender, but he has been solid for most of the year.
Christian Petracca (107) – This could have been a lot bigger. Was burned about 4-5 times in the first quarter. Looked really good, and the bye looked to have really helped. I see him averaging 108+ for the remainder of the season, and is underpriced. Great option that could push the top 8 mids.
Angus Brayshaw (105) – Steven May being back didn’t change his role. That’s now 4 tons in a row, and he looks really good in that D50. Will push the top 6 defenders, but I have him just outside at the moment, but someone to look at.
Clayton Oliver (102) – Slowed after half time, with a 42 point second half. Really expensive now over 950k, I would prefer other options, but will be a top 8 mid.
Keidean Coleman (90) – sIf you are still riding with Kiddy, you would have been quite happy with another 90. Back to back 90’s has meant he is still generating cash, so you could hold for another week or two.
Lachie Neale (79) – Poor night for Lachie, but was tagged all night by James Harmes. Could we see this more on the run home?
Christian Salem (61) – Had a knee concern earlier in the game but played the rest of the game out.
Jarryd Lyons (42) – Copped a massive hit from Fritsch in the 2nd quarter, and I was surprised he cam back out, but was eventually subbed out in the last quarter.
James Tunstill (31) – Quiet night for the debutant, and with Brisbane losing bad and playing poor, I wouldn’t be surprised if he was dropped next week.
Now, lets get into the rest of the Weekend Forecast.

My Trades
English -> Darcy/Witts
Butters -> Bontempelli
Trades are pretty simple this week. I am trading English as I have no rookies on field (apart from Daicos), so I am being aggressive and going for points on field, plus I think English could miss 2 weeks. I am looking at one of Darcy and Witts. Both have great matchups. I like the ceiling of Darcy, but worried about his injury history. With Witts, I don’t see his ceiling being as high as Darcy, but less injury risk. At this stage, I am leaning towards Darcy. With my other trade, I will get enough money from the English move to allow me to go Butters up to Bontempelli. I think I would personally pick Bont over Treloar and Parker anyway, but I can’t actually afford them so it makes the decision even easier.
