It’s time for everyone’s favourite article of the week – Calvin’s Captains. Yes… I must admit I have been off my game lately but this week I will be bouncing back. I’m not here today to defend my “Mills at the SCG” comments, but more to lead you to the best possible players to pick this week. At the end of the day, remember… captain selection is your call. I’m just here to steer you in the right direction.

MILLS: HOME & AWAY

OK.. so let’s take a little time addressing “Is there an issue with Mills at the SCG?”

2021 Away  = avg 119 (10 games) with 9×110+
2021 Home = avg 99 (8 games) with 2×110+

2022 Away = avg 108 (4 games) with scores of 162, 106, 78 and 87
2022 Home = avg 117 (5 games) with scores of 156, 76, 131, 106 and 117

Based on his 2021 stats = YES. There is a significant issues however, this issue seems to be a thing of the past. Conversation over!

1. Jack Macrae	@ Mars SAT 1:45pm	One of his favourite opponents who are #6 easiest for MIDs	Averages 123 in his last five against the Suns and is coming off 123 and 110. The main CBA guy for the Dogs at the moment.
2. Christian Petracca	@ Marvel SAT 4:35pm	#3 on form averaging 123 in his last three. Great match-up	North are #2 easy in the last five and CP is racking it up. Only had 94 on them last year but will dominate these guys.
3. Josh Dunkley	@ Mars SAT 1:45pm	6x110+ this year and still one of the best going around.	83 and 151 on the Suns last year and last week... Serong (126), Acres (113), Brodie (102) and Brayshaw (99) didn't struggle against the Suns.
4. Lachie Neale	@ UTas SUN 3:20pm	#1 guy in form and meets the #1 easiest team this year	Last year he only had 75 on the Hawks on a day where Lyons (153) and Zorko (132) went nuts. Neale will this time and is coming off 115, 113 and 142.
5. Patrick Cripps	@ Marvel FRI 7:50pm	Averages 112 in his last four against the Swans	Scored 120 on the Swans last year and Crippa is going much better now despite his 76 last week.
6. Callum Mills	@ Marvel FRI 7:50pm	3x130+ in the last four weeks with two over 150.	Hates playing at the SCG and not huge fan of Marvel either with 1x100+ in his career 12 games. Won't matter, he's dominating. But the Blues can be tough.
7. Touk Miller	@ Mars SAT 1:45pm	128, 92, 140 and 111 in his last four and smoking.	Dogs are #2 hardest this year and Touk had 110 and 103 on them last year. Anything can happen at Mars. But he match-up is hard.
8. Dayne Zorko	@ UTas SUN 3:20pm	40% CBAs in the last two weeks for his 112 and 132.	Will dominate the easy Hawks like he did last year when he had 132. Weather is Launie is looking cold... but dry!
9. Clayton Oliver	@ Marvel SAT 1:45pm	His 91 last week v WCE was his lowest in his last four	Prior to last week, Oliver did have 4x110+ in a row. Easy match up again despite only having 94 on the Roos last year.
10. Andrew Brayshaw	@ Optus SUN 5:20pm	99 and 134 in his last two but this match-up is juicy	Last week, the Dogs had 7x110+ against the Pies and Brayshaw mets them aiming for his first ton against them.
