Weekend Forecast – Round 9

Here’s Bails’ look at round nine.

***Live stream of the Weekend Forecast will be on my YouTube channel. Make sure to tune in as I will be answering your questions during the live stream. Also, feel free to subscribe to my YouTube channel and leave a like on the video. Would be very much appreciated.***

Byes are fast approching, with only 3 weeks and 9 trades left before we hit the toughest part of the fantasy season. Most coaches are now looking at their byes to determine who they bring in, as well as trade out. However, a number of coaches will have the Jason Horne-Francis and Nathan O’Driscoll issues to deal with this week, with both rookies missing this week, and NOD will miss 6 weeks with a hotspot on his foot. Navigating through that and thinking about byes will be a challenge for many coaches this week as round 9 approches.

Now, lets get into the Weekend Forecast.

Collingwood vs Western Bulldogs @ Marvel Stadium

Weather Forecast

***Roof Closed***

Team Lineups

Caleb Poulter

Jack Ginnivan (Illness), Trent Bianco (Omitted)

Western Bulldogs

Rhylee West, Jordon Sweet, Luke Cleary, Alex Keath, Marcus Bontempelli

Hayden Crozier (Medi-Sub), Cody Weightman (Injured), Laitham Vandermeer (Injured), Roarke Smith (Omitted), Stefan Martin (Managed), Tim O’Brien (Injured)

Players to Watch

Darcy Cameron

The popular midpricer of the week has a great matchup tonight. With Stef Martin out and English still injured, Cameron will only be up against Jordan Sweet. Cameron has gone back to back tons against good ruckmen in Jarrod Witts and Nankervis + Soldo so all signs point to another good night for him.

Jack Macrae

Has a great record against Collingwood, with 9 straight tons , and a career average of 121.5 against them. Back under the roof at Marvel, should be good and will be a very popular VC option tonight.

Nick Daicos

After being sick most of last week and coaches worried he would be rested, he was able to play against the Tigers and still score well with an 83. He has only gone once under 73 all year, and you can quite easily keep him around until his bye in round 14. Good matchups normally for defenders as the Dogs tend to give up points to defenders.

Other players to watch: Marcus Bontempelli, Buku Khamis, Bailey Smith, Taylor Adams, Jordan De Goey, Jack Crisp, Josh Dunkley, Adam Treloar, Aiden Begg, Robbie McComb, Luke Cleary

Hawthorn vs Richmond @ MCG

Weather Forecast

Around 18°C, light rain (66% chance of rain)

Team Lineups

Mitch Lewis, Chad Wingard, Sam Butler, Conor Nash

Jackson Callow (Omitted), Liam Shiels (Medi-Sub), Tom Mitchell (Managed), Connor Macdonald (Managed), Josh Ward (Omitted)

Dion Prestia, Bigoa Nyuon, Nick Vlastuin

Rhyan Mansell (Suspension), Josh Gibcus (HS Protocols), Sydney Stack (Medi-Sub), Shane Edwards (Managed)

Players to Watch

James Sicily

He just continues to get it done week in week out. Only has 1 score below 84 this year which was a 79, showing how consistent he has been. Good matchup against the Tigers this week, but it is expected to rain so it may not be a huge game from the Sic Dawg.

Dustin Martin

One player I am keeping an eye on is Dusty. Scored an 84 first game back, and we know how good Dusty is. Quite cheap at 669k, I would be watching him for the next 3 weeks and he could be a target for us post his round 12 bye.

Maurice Rioli

A popular downgrade target this week apart from Greg Clark, I am unsure if he can continue to generate a heap of cash. Small forwards don’t tend to score well consistantly, as shown by Malcolm Rosas who started well with a 58 and 73, then followed with a 45 and 23. I would prefer a Jack Carroll or Cooper Hamilton.

Other players to watch: Jayden Short, Sam Butler, Bigoa Nyuon, Dylan Moore, Nick Vlastuin

North Melbourne vs Port Adelaide @ Blundstone Arena

Weather Forecast

Around 18°C, showers  (91% chance of rain)

Team Lineups

North Melbourne

Nick Larkey, Tom Powell

Ben McKay (Injured), Jason Horne-Francis (Injured), Hugh Greenwood (HS Protocols)

Port Adelaide

Kane Farrell

Riley Bonner (Injured), Trent Dumont (HS Protocols)

Players to Watch

Zak Butters

Butters is a player that many coaches wanted to trade out this week, but with Horne-Francis and O’Driscoll being out, many coaches will need to hold. He does have a good matchup this week, but we haven’t seen anything from him lately to suggest he will score well. Hopefully he can on Saturday, otherwise he will be gone for even more coaches next week.

Tarryn Thomas

544k is underpriced for what we know he can do. 90 from 77% game time was promising last week, but I want to see another week before jumping on. Has the round 14 bye which is great because if he doesn’t do enough, you can move him on then.

Ollie Wines

Another player who is coming in underpriced, but he has the round 12 bye. Many coaches already have a fair few players on the round 12 bye, but if you are looking for someone, Wines is your man. I think he averages 108-110 for the rest of the season.

Other players to watch: Connor Rozee, Dan Houston, Sam Hayes, Travis Boak

St Kilda vs Geelong @ Marvel Stadium

Weather Forecast

***Roof Closed***

Team Lineups

St Kilda

Jack Billings, Cooper Sharman

Marcus Windhager (Omitted), Dan Butler (Injured), Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera (Managed)

Rhys Stanley, Joel Selwood

Cooper Stephens (Omitted), Jed Bews (Injured), Francis Evans (Omitted)

Players to Watch

Mitch Duncan

Looked back to the Mitch Duncan of old last week, playing that half back-wing role we love for fantasy. He had 33 disposals and 12 marks for 124, clearly his best game of the season. Priced down at 729k, he is a good option to bring in as he will be a top 6 forward with this role, but I want to see one more game from him before I launch.

Jack Steele

First score under 100 in 19 games, and it was a 98. Just consistent and gets it done every week, even though we haven’t consistently seen him score his 120+ scores, but I think they will come more in the 2nd half of the year. Tough matchup against the Cats this week, but should still score 100+.

Mitch Knevitt

Only played the 3 quarters after starting as the sub, but looked quite good for his 66 points. One to watch this week for sure, but I don’t like rookies from Geelong as they could be out of the team at any moment.

Other players to watch: Jack Sinclair, Tom Stewart, Sam De Koning, Cam Guthrie

Sydney vs Essendon @ SCG

Weather Forecast

Around 22°C, partly cloudy

Team Lineups

Sam Wicks, James Bell, Tom Hickey

Braeden Campbell (Managed), Ryan Clarke (Medi-Sub), Hayden McLean (Omitted), Ben Ronke (Omitted)

Sam Durham, Jake Kelly, Matt Guelfi, Jordan Ridley

Kaine Baldwin (Omitted), Brandon Zerk-Thatcher (Injured), Brayden Ham (Omitted), Alastair Lord (Medi-Sub), Devon Smith (Illness)

Players to Watch

Nic Martin

This guy is a star! I still don’t know how it has been this long for him to get an opportunity, but he has taken it with both hands. He continues to score well for us, as well as kick goals almost every week. Now over 600k, he will at this stage be in most people’s teams post his round 12 bye.

Paddy McCartin

Had his career high score of 86 last week and had a really good game, with some coaches able to take that score for Hewett. Will be very handy for his cash generation, however, you can’t trust him on field as it is hard to rely on a pure intercept defender that doesn’t get involved much with the chip-mark game.

Isaac Heeney

Was quiet last week, and only attended 1 CBA which surprised me. I will find it extremely odd though if he doesn’t get more CBA’s this week. Sydney has a plethora of forwards in the team, and I expect to see Heeney is the midfield this week, and if so, a big score could follow suit.

Other players to watch: Jake Lloyd, Ben Hobbs, Zach Merrett, Luke Parker, Callum Mills, Darcy Parish

Adelaide vs Brisbane @ Adelaide Oval

Weather Forecast

Around 18°C, partly cloudy

Team Lineups

Jake Soligo, Brodie Smith, Darcy Fogarty, Ned McHenry, Kieran Strachan

Billy Frampton (Omitted), Harry Schoenberg (Omitted), Lachlan Murphy (Injured), Lachlan Gollant (Omitted), Reilly O’Brien (Omitted), Brayden Cook (Omitted)

Darcy Gardiner, Eric Hipwood

Thomas Berry (Medi-Sub), Ryan Lester (Managed), Daniel McStay (Injured)

Players to Watch

Jordan Dawson

Had his first big game fantasy wise last week with 30 disposals, 10 marks and 128 points. Has been really consistent all year, lowest score of 75 (first game for new club, only 23 point first half) which is his only score under 82. Priced a bit more expensive now at 792k but looks settled in at the Crows, and has a good bye for premium defenders.

Dayne Zorko

Really cheap after that preseason surgery had him playing limited game time and being subbed out. Back playing his 50/50 mid forward role where he has been a fantasy beast in the past, and next 2 against Adelaide and Hawthorn. High risk high reward pick and could be massive.

Lachie Neale

Great captain option on Saturday night. If you take away the North game (injured and tagged 86), Geelong game (O’Connor tag 98) and Gold Coast game (tagged and horrible conditions 96) his lowesr score is 113. He could cop some attention but I don’t think it will matter this week.

Other players to watch: Ben Keays, Hugh McCluggage, Daniel Rich, Rory Laird, Jarryd Lyons, Keidean Coleman, Jake Soligo

Gold Coast vs Fremantle @ Metricon Stadium

Weather Forecast

Around 24°C, cloudy with periods of light rain (68% chance of rain)

Team Lineups

Gold Coast

Noah Anderson, Charlie Constable, Joel Jeffrey, Sam Day, Sam Flanders

Jack Lukosius (Injured), Alex Davies (Managed)

Travis Colyer, Blake Acres, Michael Frederick, Rory Lobb, Griffin Logue, Ethan Hughes

Nathan O’Driscoll (Injured), Michael Walters (HS Protocols), Sam Switkowski (Injured)

Players to Watch

Touk Miller

Didn’t notice him much outside of the first 10 minutes of the game. Hasn’t been hitting the same heights he did last season, and doesn’t look to be covering the ground as well as he has in the past. I think he will be fine, but I think we can wait a week to see what he does against Fremantle.

Andrew Brayshaw

If it wasn’t for Horne-Francis and O’Driscoll being out this week, Brayshaw would be in my team! He has been amazing this season with only 2 scores below 110, 95 against West Coast, Nelson tag and only 27 point first half, and 83 against Geelong, O’Connor tag and gave away 5 free kicks). He is expensive, but I do think he is worth it. Great run up to his bye with Gold Coast, Collingwood, Melbourne, Brisbane and Hawthorn.

Sean Darcy

Very cheap after an injury affected start to 2022. We know he can score very well and be a top 2 ruck, it is just his body we don’t trust. With Grundy out for most of the year, the no.2 ruck spot behind Gawn is open, and Darcy could take it. Priced at 694k is a bargain and if you don’t have Gawn and Preuss, I think Darcy is a great option.

Other players to watch: Rory Thompson, Matt Rowell, Noah Anderson, Will Brodie

GWS vs Carlton @ Giants Stadium

Weather Forecast

Around 20°C, cloudy with showers (50% chance of rain)

Team Lineups

Jake Riccardi, Conor Stone, Tanner Bruhn

George Hewett, Jesse Motlop, Lachie Fogarty, Paddy Dow, Lachie Plowman, Brodie Kemp

Harry McKay (Injured), Jack Martin (Injured), Lewis Young (HS Protocols)

Players to Watch

Jack Carroll

If you already have Greg Clark, I think Carroll is the best downgrade option. I know he is a little more expensive at 284k, but still has a breakeven of -10 and will continue to make good money. His job security sounds good as well, as he probably would have played round 1 if not for an injury.

Patrick Cripps

Just continues to get it done, 5 games in a row over 120, and hasn’t scored below 112 in full games. Will likely cop the Lachie Ash tag this week, so I wouldn’t put him captain this week, but I don’t think it will bother him much and will be good once again.

Stephen Coniglio

Was on the chopping block for me and a lot of other coaches, but with JHF anf NOD injuries, and Leon Cameron resigning, I think we can hold Cogs till his bye. Hopefully will get more midfield time moving forward. If not, we can offload him at his round 12 bye.

Other players to watch: Corey Durdin, Cooper Hamilton, Tim Taranto, Sam Docherty, Lachie Whitfield, Brodie Kemp, Braydon Preuss, Josh Kelly, Tom Green, Sam Walsh, Adam Cerra, George Hewett,

West Coast vs Melbourne @ Optus Stadium

Weather Forecast

Around 19°C, cloudy

Team Lineups

West Coast

Bailey Williams, Jackson Nelson, Greg Clark, Alex Witherden, Hugh Dixon

Declan Mountford (Medi-Sub), Jake Florenca (Omitted)

Jake Melksham, Mitch Brown, Adam Tomlinson, Kade Chandler

Toby Bedford (Medi-Sub)

Players to Watch

Angus Brayshaw

Angus has been impressive this year, with only 2 scores below 83 (70 and 75). Even though his next 2 matchups are very enticing against West Coast and North Melbourne, I would hold off due to Salem being back in a couple of weeks, which might send Brayshaw back to his defensive wing role. If Salem comes back and nothing changes, I think we can look at him more then, but if you are keen, go for it!

Max Gawn

The knee scans this week have put me off chucking the C on him, but I still think he goes big. Great matchup against the depleted West Coast with Williams and Jameson in the ruck. I expect he will spend a fair bit forward, but could still kick 5 goals.

Greg Clark

If you don’t have him, he is the must have player this week and the top rookie target. First game was a 110, and should see an increased role in the middle for them. You can play him on field with confidence, and with a breakeven of -31, will shoot up in price before his bye in round 13.

Other players to watch: Alex Witherden, Christian Petracca, Callum Jameison, Jake Bowey, Clayton Oliver, Patrick Naish

My Trades

O’Driscoll -> J Carroll

Horne-Francis -> D Cameron

If it wasn’t for the O’Driscoll and Horne-Francis injuries, I would have traded out both Butters and Coniglio to get Andrew Brayshaw, but I just can’t do that now. Darcy Cameron is still the guy I am bringing in. No.1 ruck, back to back tons against quality ruckmen, great bye in round 14, and good matchup tonight against the Bulldogs. He should rise up a fair bit and really helps with my bye structure as he will get ruck status in round 12. Then with NOD being on my bench, I will be going him down to Jack Carroll. I think he is the best rookie outside of Greg Clark and Robbie McComb (maybe McComb is too expensive now), and Carroll has shown he can score well. This leaves me with 294k in the bank to spend on a premium next week.

Anyway, thanks again everyone for reading the Weekend Forecast. If you have any questions about your starting teams, or anything else, leave your questions in the comments section below or hit me up at my Twitter or Instagram (links provided below).

Crisp, Daicos, Smith, Dunkley and VC Macrae who’s score I’ll be turning into Captain. 518 and increased rank to 435 from 540 or so. Hopefully it’s a big round.

  2. Mike

Go Clark and Petracca (great run coming up) OR
Go Clark and Cameron (for value) with cash for next week?

    • pendles4brownlow

      May 13, 2022 at 2:50 pm

If you are lucky enough to have your bye plans in order and your rooks are playing and generating cash, I would definitely go to Petracca, as it’s a game about points in the end. I, on the other hand, have to generate some more cash, and I have some non-players, so I am going to Clark and Cameron. I am hoping Cameron can repeat his last two weeks, in which case, he won’t be far behind Trac, but his value will have gone up by more than Trac’s. I already have Oliver and Gawn, so I will have to leave it to them to smash the Western Witches Hats. I might be able to pick up Trac next week for the Northern Witches Hats.

    • Bailey

      May 13, 2022 at 6:09 pm

Yeah that’s someone I am deciding this week. I am going the value with Cameron. Could score near as good as Petracca this week and good to have money for next week

  3. jjbkeeper

    May 13, 2022 at 2:46 pm

    Vlastuin or Zorko

    • Bailey

      May 13, 2022 at 6:10 pm

I would go Zorko out of those 2

  4. pendles4brownlow

    May 13, 2022 at 2:53 pm

Zorko. Vlastuin has the round 12 bye, which for me is problematic.

  5. Ridley

    May 13, 2022 at 4:20 pm

Pendlesforretirement, Zorko is hopeless this year

    • Pendles4Brownlow

      May 13, 2022 at 5:51 pm

I am old enough to retire, but Pendles has some time left. Zorko will come good. I don’t have him yet

  6. Bobby Bouchet

    May 13, 2022 at 5:13 pm

    a) NOD to Clark, Blakey to Cameron. (335k in the bank)

    b) JHF to Clark, Blakey to Oliver

    c) NOD to Clark, Butters to Touk/Petracca

    • Angus

      May 13, 2022 at 5:18 pm

I wouldn’t trade out butters the week before he plays the north melbourne witches hats, and Oliver’s gonna have a day out, so it would be B for me

      • Bobby Bouchet

        May 13, 2022 at 5:28 pm

With B – I could tweak it to be NOD to Clark and then Blakey to Petracca. Then I can save JHF to help me for the bye rounds.

    • Bailey

      May 13, 2022 at 6:11 pm

If it helps your bye structure (most people have the round 12 bye with a lot of players) I would cull Butters and get Petracca. Petracca great matchups in the next 2, has the better round 14 bye and is cheaper than Touk. I would also trade NOD before JHF as NOD is out for 6 weeks

      • Bailey

        May 13, 2022 at 6:12 pm

If byes don’t matter, then yeah go Blakey to Petracca I reckon

  7. JungleMuffin

    May 13, 2022 at 5:37 pm

Looking like making my first sheep play of the season and joining the Cult of Cameron. He may be fools gold, but I think I can still turn a profit. Comes down to a mixture of reasons.

Firstly, he’s essentially a free swing and my rookie/cash cow downgrade, even though he’s 120k more expensive than Ward who he replaces. Should get a 40-50k cash boost this week and possibly even +100k once those 2×100’s are out of his system, while also allowing me to penny punch in some break evens in the original trades I had planned (playing Daicos + Dixon and waiting on Tarrantino), which could make me another 20-50k.

Scoring wise, it boils down to Cameron + Daicos vs Tarrantino (who I’ll just bring in next week instead) + Hobbs/Erasmus. I’d be expecting 150-160 from Tarranto plus a rookie, which I should be able to get from the two Collingwood boys, with Daicos being good for 80 and expecting Cameron about the same. If he averages 80 til the byes I’ll consider the trade a success, with 70~ a draw and lower a fail, as I’d expect to be getting more from my 22nd man, who Cameron realistically is.

The quick cash/bye/easier stepping stone for an upgrade are basically the cream that allow what would otherwise be a suboptimal trade, to be at worst case a draw, with 80+ scores being the cherry on top. Anything higher would be the sprinkles.

Oh please Darcy, give me the sprinkles. I’ll even take the nuts, with a bit of extra cream!

    • Bailey

      May 13, 2022 at 6:14 pm

Yeah I agree with that. I think Cameron can average 85 till his bye, potentially 90 if all things go right

      • Bailey

        May 13, 2022 at 6:14 pm

He will do better than Ward, and Taranto might still go down a little (sucks as I bought him at 939k thinking Toby coming back, more CBA’s)

        • JungleMuffin

          May 13, 2022 at 6:17 pm

He’l.p. break out of the slump though next week against the West Covid Witches Hats

    • Mike

      May 13, 2022 at 6:38 pm

JM, I’ve been forced to trading in Clark now.
My teams upgrades were better without him.
But… dots. Red Dots. Now I have him. FMDT.

      • JungleMuffin

        May 13, 2022 at 7:37 pm

Mike pal. Clark is one of the keeper Rookie types. He was the top rookie along with Daicos heading into the preseason. He’ll probably scores more than any premium we being in this week. His 110 2 weeks back wasn’t an accident, and his JS is rock solid.

Thank the DT Gods for their providence in saving your team from mortal hands!

        • Mike

          May 14, 2022 at 1:14 pm

Yeah JM, I did get rid of 2 red dots and Duncan in, going Clark.
I’ve got some good rookies in. I’ve scoped league teams checking out peoples team’s benches.

  8. pendles4brownlow

    May 13, 2022 at 6:26 pm

How is it that Hewett was on the extended bench last night, but has now made it onto the field? Is this just more mind games to screw with our heads?

    • Jay1

      May 13, 2022 at 11:01 pm

At initial teams on Thursday night, he didn’t have his final Friday training session; obviously passed that final test, so made the final 22. From that point on, it doesn’t matter how Carlton re-list their 22 (whether Hewey is onfield or on bench.

    In a tough spot here.
    Can go
    NOD –> D Cameron (F6)
and Gibcus –> M Duncan to have only one rookie playing on my field with it being Clarke (M8)
    (Daicos D6)

    NOD –> C Oliver
    and Windhager —> Cleary

Option B means i have to play McCartin or De Koning but i do want Oliver…

      • JungleMuffin

        May 14, 2022 at 12:39 am

Wasn’t he. Not a bad basement rookie to pickup. Will give us a handy bit of cash if we need to cash him out early during the byes, or should give us more than SDK!

    • pendles4brownlow

      May 14, 2022 at 12:04 am

Are you worried about Cameron averaging <85 before the byes now? Daicos is the bigger worry; he has been great but is ready for a break. I went a week early (last week) in trading out Daicos to get Oliver in; I was meant to get rid of Paddy, but his value was not going to get me to a keeper. Some luck for me – finally!

      • JungleMuffin

        May 14, 2022 at 12:48 am

Tbh, he’s a glorified rookie for me, so as long as he outscored what would otherwise be my 22nd player in Hobbs/Carroll/Erasmus, I’ll be happy. Prevented me from going from Daicos to Tarrantino which should cost me a few points, but that’s not in Darcy’s head, and most teams still have Daicos anyway, so shouldn’t hurt.

Yeah, Daicos absolutely out, especially now his BE will be above average. Was a free swing with holding him this week, and he did about what we could ask. Thanks for your service Daics.

And yeah, can’t lose out with keeping Paddy around for a week or two, especially with NOD and JHF neesinf the chop. He shows a bit if love with his cash gen for those two held him, which I love, as I’m one of those coaxhes who are loyal to his boys. Would have been nice a month ago, but no emo. Good on Paddy, and the coaches who still have him, like urself.

        One can only dream ;)

Once my Macrae VC kicks in (Sunday, with Stein loophole), I’ll effectively be 865 from 7 played onground.

Let’s hope the SAT & SUN players make it a weekend trend to continue the way FRI night scores started (similar to last week).

        • Mike

          May 14, 2022 at 10:43 am

Jay, I’m wondering if having 7 players from 2 teams gets awkward during the byes?
I’ve got 2 players only from any one team, except GWS with 3.

          • Jay1

            May 14, 2022 at 2:13 pm

don’t think so – I’ve been monitoring my bye structure for the past couple of weeks, and at the moment it’s balanced for 20 playing each round, that’s if I get the final red dots to green over the next two weeks. The 7 players are spread across 3 lines, darcy cam should get ruck status in time to spread that even better

    • JungleMuffin

      May 14, 2022 at 12:55 am

Yeah, up to low-mid 4k, which is nice.

Although I did have 6! players playing, and will take Maccas 117 (Now 123? Wtf?), so rank is not the best representarion of performance at this stage.

Thinking most people had 5-6 tonight though, so might be a pretty accurate representation. Mccomb and Daicos underperforming this week, and Clearly on field for some, will drag averages down.

      • Jay1

        May 14, 2022 at 9:15 am

117 was around 1 minute 20 secs to go in the game. He got a mark and kick in the wing in the final minute.

No longer in fantasy. He helped me to get Gawn last week.

    I had 3 in tonight. vc 123, 113 & 63.
    McComb might become a bench 🔴 🥔
    I’m taking the 123 too.

Was that the first time the Macrae bros played against each other at AFL level?

Who to field legends? Hobbs v Swans or Carroll v GWS?

  18. BestowedMisery

    May 14, 2022 at 10:29 am

I’d go Hobbs. Swans are tough but GWS might fire right up for their departing coach.

Thoughts on bypassing Macrae’s 123 and taking a chance putting the C on Neale, Cripps or Trac?

  22. FreemTheDream

    May 14, 2022 at 2:48 pm

Put the VC on Dunkley instead of McRae. Really thinking about banking the 113.

I do have Neale and Mills that I could keep the C on. Have a feeling Mills may go big after a quiet one last week. Thoughts lads?

    • jjbkeeper

      May 14, 2022 at 2:51 pm

I reckon C on Neale. He should beat Dunks score. Should I take McRaes score as VC, or gamble on a sore Gawn against WCE?

      • FreemTheDream

        May 14, 2022 at 3:05 pm

I’m just worried about Hately tagging Neale, but you are probably right. I Also have Gawn but if I had McRaes VC score, I would be taking the 123 for sure. Though Gawn will likely play more of a 50/50 split forward this week so is a chance to kick a few goals, tough calls this week, but I would still go McRae.

      • BestowedMisery

        May 14, 2022 at 4:33 pm

Neale I’d say. Best player in it with Cripps

    Moving up fast too.

Steele injured, any idea how bad? Any chance of coming back on?

Glad I went with Maccrae VC, I’d have been finished with Steele C

      • Mike

        May 14, 2022 at 6:00 pm

No. He’s back on. Not concussed. Maybe shoulder.

That’s more like it M.Rioli. Those are the kind of scores I was expecting from you.

Lucky you are on the bench, and that’s where you will be staying.

    If only Sinclair tackled …

    • BestowedMisery

      May 14, 2022 at 7:16 pm

My sentiments exactly. That zero tackles is disheartening.

      • Jay1

        May 14, 2022 at 7:35 pm

Been watching his tackle numbers drop off the past few weeks. If he got 2-3 tackles per week, he might be a keeper. But still, can’t be too unhappy with a 110 looped in from my bench. He’ll probably go for me at rd12 bye, along with Butters.

          May 14, 2022 at 10:12 pm

Yes, that last 3 average of 96 is deplorable

  27. Mike

Got a feeling Curnow will score well in the absence of Harry. Sometimes a joker @ F6 is handy.

    • brian Smith

      May 15, 2022 at 3:41 am

Unlikely – he will cop the best defender every time now, instead of second best.

Was tossing up between McRae, Dunkley, Neale or Mills as vc. Went with Mills. Captain options tomorrow are Gawn, Oliver or Trac. Fingers crossed on a big one from Mills

    • Jay1

      May 14, 2022 at 11:51 pm

      higher, for sure.

If I get less than 2200, I’d be disappointed, and I’m not a highly ranked team.

        • Jay1

          May 15, 2022 at 7:18 pm

I might still crack 2200, despite a host of Sunday spuds :(

  30. JungleMuffin

    May 14, 2022 at 11:20 pm

Yep, he’s out of form. I’m considering trading him out this week with his 77 {have enough stack to go 1 sideways, 1 up}, depending on a few things. if he plays the next fortnight, he could drop beautifully to trade back in r13/r14, after a nice rest.

  31. Bill

    May 15, 2022 at 12:30 am

Will GWS put up a good showing in Leon Cameron’s last game, or will it be the same old rubbish?

    Hard to know.

Carlton are never sure things anyway.

  32. BestowedMisery

    May 15, 2022 at 9:08 am

So.. I’ve been hanging onto Macrae’s score.
I can still captain Cripps, Trac or Gawn.
    Nup. I’ll keep the 123.
Nek Nimmit, they all score over 180.

    May 15, 2022 at 10:18 am

Did anyone else notice that last week Calvin had Mills as number one captain playing Gold Coast at the SCG.
This week he doesn’t have Mills in his top 10 because he hates the SCG.

Wondering how many put the C on Cripps..
Epic spud so far, like Gawn last week.
