When is Jack hayes getting added to the players list now that he is on St kildas list. What will he be basement priced? Position I assume mid/fwd?

I don’t believe the place on the list is formal for Hayes as yet. Once it is, like Tsitas, Champion Data send through position and any relevant price calculations will be done by AFL Fantasy (both of these guys would be $190k). Might take a couple of days. McCartin is in there now after being signed as SPP.

I have a couple of questions 1. Do we start with 2 or 3 Midfield Rookies 2. What is the ideal amount of Rookies we should be starting on the field of 22 players 3. How many players should we start that are over 900k 4. Is it ok to start with more than 4 players from a side on the field 5. What would be the ideal amount of cash should we have left after selecting our teams and last question would you be better off starting with lower price mids rather than higher price mids that will make money example, starting with J Caldwell rather than L Neale?

2 or 3 rookie mids is fine, as long as the cash saved there is utilised properly in a different line.

Rookies on field will be dictated by available rookies, but also consider potential scoring output. The defence is often where coaches try to save money by running multiple rookies, as the difference in “floor” between a premo defender and rookie defender has less variance than other lines.

If you believe a 900k player has upside, then choose him. If you believe he will be a top 6-8 player in that position, pick him. There is no rule as such, but it’s about balance, if you stack a line with 900k+ players other lines will suffer.

With covid it’s probably wise not to stack your team with players from the same club.

50-100k is more than enough, just to help with fix ups in the first few rounds.

You can save money by picking cheaper mids, but you want midfielders with high ceilings. In your example you save 200-300k by choosing Caldwell over Neale, but Neale can go Neale. You want players that have the ability to go 120+ on any week, not just for a captain option but to balance out poor scores from other premiums

Why is everyone jumping off Rowell?

    • Mighty Puds

      February 7, 2022 at 1:29 pm

Personally took him out for Crouch (Matt). He’s by no means a bad option all of a sudden, there’s just an element of doubt as to how he comes back and whether he can really score given he only really did well in coronaball. But he’s a massive preseason watch.

Hi there Mighty Puds, would I also be correct by saying he is also injury concern

    • Mighty Puds

      February 7, 2022 at 6:50 pm

Yeah you could, though his two major injuries over the last couple of seasons (shoulder in 2020 and knee last year) are both contact injuries so it’s not saying he’s like Shuey who’s continuously doing hamstrings. But the injury aspect of Rowell is off-putting (though the same can be said of Crouch).

Stop it you silly person THEY. CAN’T. HELP. YOU. Warnie already said as much before, they’re not computer programmers, they don’t own the game, they’re not even your messiahs (though there may be a naughty boy there). They have an AFL contract to provide content, that’s it, no batphone to Gill, nothing. Not a sausage. Zip.

      February 7, 2022 at 7:07 pm

But he already had info, said he has absolutely nothing to do with that part of the game, put on your big boy pants and sort your own problems out for yourself.

Wait… Am I turning into The Chosen Won?

is Mitch Duncan viable f1, or would it be better to go him down to dusty with Dunkley f1, and spend the cash to upgrade caldwell to someone like strong

  9. Phteven

    February 8, 2022 at 5:36 pm

I’m holding him in my mids as he doesn’t fit my F pattern. When one of my F rookies matures i will push Duncan forward.

As of the end of the Footy season last year I have been wanting to work a team out around M Duncan as I think he will be good value after missing so many games. I personally think he could be one of the best money makers that is of a higher price as long as he stay fit
