  • $15,000 Saturday special –  1 game (lockout 7:25pm AEST)

Lions v Giants

Lachie Neale MID, $9,500

The Lions recruit is in sensational form with scores of 162 and 123 in his last two games. Looking back to their most recent match up, Neale also flourished with 31 possessions, six marks and six tackles for 134. The obvious concern is he cops the de Boer tag but if it goes to Zorko, Neale will be big again.

Lincoln McCarthy FWD, $5,600

With value hard to find, it’s hard to fill a team if you want a couple of stars. That’s where someone like McCarthy is worth consideration. Last week he was impressive with 10 kicks, six amrks and five tackles for 72 and he had a ripper against the Giants in his last game with 109 which included three goals.

Jarryd Lyons FWD, $10,000

After some ripping form in the back end of the season, Lyons has scored back to back 80’s which takes him off the radar for many. Looking back at the season, his form at the GABBA was sensational and makes him worthy of consideration as a unique premium. His last seven games at home during the regular season were 126, 158, 96, 107, 135, 131 and 105.

Jacob Hopper MID, $8,800

The forgotten Giant midfielder has been getting it done with scores of 104, 122 and 94 in his most recent games and despite this will have low ownership due to his lack of fanfare. He was very impressive in his last match up with the Lions despite the loss with 106 from 28 possessions and seven marks.

Hugh McCluggage MID, $8,300

The breakout star has been in great form with scores of 125, 102 and 90 in his last three matches. I liked his form in the most recent game against the Giants where he was the Lions third highest scorer with 116 after gathering 26 possessions and laying an impressive eight tackles to go with a goal. He is certainly in the mix for a unique midfield position.
