  • $15,000 Saturday special –  2 games (lockout 3:20pm AEST)
  • $10,000 Giants v Bulldogs (lockout 3:20pm AEST)
  • $10,000 Lions v Tigers (lockout 7:25pm AEST)

Giants v Dogs, Lions v Tigers

Lachie Neale MID, $9,100

The star recruit recorded his second triple figure score in a row to finish the season and it was against the Tigers at the MCG in his most recent match up. Well to say it was a triple figure score is an understatement as he absolutely dominated with 51 possessions, 6 marks and 6 tackles for a phenomenal 162. Although it is unlikely he can reach those heights again, he is clearly a value priced uber premium with a huge ceiling and form in the match up.

Patrick Lipinski MID, $7,300

Although this is obviously a risky pick on a small slate with so many big name players, it was his last match up against the Giants that caught my eye. In that game he was sensational, collecting 27 possessions, taking seven marks, laying seven tackles and kicking two goals so his confidence will be sky high.

Josh Dunkley FWD, $11,000

It is hard splitting all the big dogs but given Dunkley’s second half of the year and performance in his most recent match up against the Giants, he has to be considered despite the big bucks. In that game he had 31 possessions, 6 marks, 10 tackles and two goals for 150. He has gone under triple figures just once in his last thirteen games which included multiple 150s and was highlighted by 189.

Toby Greene FWD, $9,900

Green would be a walk-up selection if he was guaranteed a big midfield role which he made the most of in the back end of the season with scores of 144, 115, 126, 146, 142 before getting injured on 99. In his favour is the fact Coniglio is still out and Cameron is playing, Hopper returning hurts but that ceiling as a forward is hard to pass up.

Hugh McCluggage MID, $8,000

If you are looking for some value in order to create an even spread of talent, it is hard to look past this young star who is having a massive breakout season on the wing for the Lions. He has been in red hot form the past two weeks with scores of 125 and 102 with the latter being an impressive effort against the Tigers at the MCG. He should be able to better that at home.
