- $30,000 Saturday special – 5 games
Dees v Pies, Power v Swans, Lions v Suns, Bombers v Dogs, Cats v Roos
Taylor Adams MID, $8,600
The hard working Pie has had a frustrating season with injury limiting him to just seven games. Facing the Demons for an under manned Pie outfit could be just the thing to get Adams back up among the top scorers, a place he has proven to be more than comfortable over the years. His last two games have produced scores of 111 and 97 and given the fact that the Dees are one of the easiest teams to score against, he is an under priced midfielder.
Mitch Duncan MID, $9,900
The classy Cat has been disappointing the last few weeks but on a positive note, his price is down compared to the big dawgs. It is a milestone game for his 200th and the Cats are desperate for a win at home against the Roos. Earlier this year he racked up 142 on the Roos and before that has scored 111, 106 and 105. He is a nice unique option with a high ceiling.
Dan Houston DEF, $6,800
Yet another young talent at the Power, Houston’s stocks are skyrocketing. He has had a role change the past two weeks and is dominating as a result, collecting plenty of the ball. In the past two games he has scored 104 and 123 from 25 and 29 possessions respectively. He will be my first picked at that price.
Jeremy Howe DEF, $6,000
The high flying Pie is way under priced based on what he can do, especially given the opposition. Like many Pies he has had a horrid run with injuries but he has put in a solid body of work the last three weeks with scores of 81, 71 and 92. Defenders that a more than capable of triple figure scores are gold, especially at that price given he is a lock for 8-10 marks.
Adam Treloar MID, $10,500
The star Pie is one of the form players of the competition and based on that, combined with matchup he justifies the price tag as a safe option who will end the day as one of the top scorers on the slate. Although he doesn’t have the same ceiling as some of the other guns, he has become a safe 120, reaching that tally in six of his last eight games. To reinforce that last point, he has already scored 124 on the Dees this year and they have given up six 120+ scores since the byes.
