- $50,000 Saturday special – 5 games
Tigers v Power, Blues v Suns, Giants v Pies, Lions v Roos, Dockers v Swans
Patrick Cripps MID, $9,200
The massive unit is every chance to be the highest player on the slate today. His form against the Suns is something to behold with scores of 162 and 163 in his most recent games against them and the Suns are the easiest team for opposition midfielders to score against. Today he will get a good run at playing healthy under his new coach and the results will speak for themselves.
Brodie Grundy RUC, $11,300
The Ruck Pig comes at a cost but he is hard to ignore as he gets it done week in, week out. Last week he came up against a tough ruck department and still pumped out 129, so it’s hard for the eyes not to light up against Mumford and Simpson. His last four scores against the Giants are 111, 127, 111 and 119, all scores he won’t struggle to cover today.
Dayne Zorko MID, $9,900
The in form Lions inspirations leader has one of the elite ceilings in the competition and he is every chance to reach those lofty height today. He ticks a lot of boxes today, back at home, three game average of 122 and outstanding form against Roos with 125, 109 and 143 in his last three.
Tom Rockliff MID, $9,700
If we are chasing a high ceiling, it would be criminal not to mention the Pig who faces the Tigers at the MCG. He will look to lead by example and take charge as the Power try to get their season back on track and we all know what that means. He loves playing the Tigers where he has had 132 already this year and likewise he has already pumped out a 166 at the G earlier this season.
Josh Deluca MID, $4,000
The Blues mid season recruit is fit and ready to go. Finding cheap options with the ability to score can be hard to find but given Deluca has AFL experience and has been in outstanding form this year, he will likely be the most popular pick on today’s slate. He is coming off 89 from 19 touches in the VFL, but he is better than that and won’t struggle to get a kick against the Suns.
