Hi there Moneyballers. Welcome to the big $5,000 Saturday Slam where winning cash is on the agenda for today.
I have my best tips for the day, so lock in a few of these bad boys, pick a few of your own and good luck as we sink a few froths and have a beautiful day of footy.
$5,000 with the winner taking $650 and its pays $34.18 right down to 89th
Collingwood v Port Adelaide 1:45pm
Brisbane v GWS
Bulldogs v North Melbourne
West Coast v Melbourne 7:40pm
Dayne Zorko (MID, $10,800)
He’ll cost you an arm and a leg but today he’s worth every penny. Averaging 137 in his last three after a huge 157 last week, Zorko is a ATM when it comes to Moneyball. He even scored 131 against the Giants last year and ticks all boxes here.
Declan Mountford (MID, $4,800)
Don’t expect much, but I honest thing that Mountford is good for an 80 today. He scored 61 last week after being freed of some tagging duties and can win the ball. At this price, anything over 60 is a bonus and I think he’ll certainly do that today.
Justin Westhoff (RUC, $8,200)
Call me silly, but Westhoff as a ruck today is a winner in my book. He has scored 91 and 133 in his last two games and to be 100% honest, I don’t have much faith in the other rucks listed (except for Grundy). The Pies do have a tendency to bleed points from time to time and I can see westy having 100+ in the first game today.
Lachie Whitfield (MID, $8,100)
Whitfield came into a lot of Fantasy teams this week on the back of a couple of ripper performances. 125 and 116 will certainly catch your eye and this top draft pick with have it all his own way today with Josh Kelly injured.
Robbie Gray (FWD, $7,000)
He’s cheap for a reason they say… ekkkk
But if Robbie can snag a few today then he’s certainly worth a look at this price. The man has averaged 90+ in the past and is coming off a nice 117 where is he kicked straighter, he would have been even bigger. Robbie can be big on his day and if today is the day, he’ll put you right amongst the cash. This year he has scored 138 and 125, so we all know he’s a jet and should be right for a ton against the Pies.
Dom Sheed (MID, $7,600)
Sheed is one of the most traded players IN this week in AFL Fantasy which means the secret is out. The kid can play and he can score.
Sheed has been amazing over the last 3 weeks with scores of 112, 126 and 98. His role is very Moneyball friendly which sees him pushing up the ground and then drifting forward to snag a few goals.
Back at Domain Stadium, Sheed is set for another big day against the Demons. Under the lights on Saturday night football, I’m expecting Sheed to score another triple figure score. He’s only $7,600 which is bloody sensational as this will free you up some coin to lash out on some of the bigger boys like my mate Zorko.
All the best for this big one today, a few risky picks here I must admit, but if they get going… you’ll be in the cash. Good luck.
