DUNCAN AND BARTEL LOST ME MY PRELIM. Duncan has been my favourite player in my team this year. ever week gets the job done around 100 mark. I needed 40 points and he fked me over and bartel dont get me started.. i guess he decided not to play the second half.

Couldnt even crack 2400 with stefan being the biggest culprit there

  17. The Chosen Won

    August 14, 2016 at 8:23 pm

    2400 even

Beat Mitch to square the ledger 1 all in 2016!

    Good Luck

    August 14, 2016 at 8:28 pm

Wanna upgrade Stef… Which ruck has the best remaining match ups, esp in round 23? Am thinking Grundy vs hawthorn? How do they go against ruckmen? Anyone know the weakest teams vs rucks?

    • Foo Foo the Snoo

      August 14, 2016 at 8:29 pm

Gawn is my other ruckman btw.

    • Mudmanz

      August 15, 2016 at 10:59 am

I’m doing the same Stef upgrade (also have Gawn)and are probably going to Grundy. Only real option at the moment.

    Round 22 Scores:2429
Finals Wk 2 Result: week off
Studs:Rocky, parker, hanners, gawn, wines (7th 95+ score in a row), dusty, zorks, monty, dahl, vince,
Duds: kerridge, steven, shaw, doch, goldy (didn’t watch much footy this w/e so dunno if any due to injury)
On the Chopping Block: kerridge, see how the rest pull up
Vent/Brag/Whatever: After a poor start to the year have managed to scrape to 5000… quite poor after finishing top 1k last year.

Interesting thought: how many players do you still have from round 1? I have 9; Shaw, laird, danger, hanners, pendles, wines, gawn, dusty and kerridge

    Fantasy

Started the round ranked 1665. Really want to finish inside top 1000 for the third year in a row.

    Scored 2412.

    Moved up 23 places.

Going back to DT next year as just not getting rewarded for a good starting team.

    • lizard-of-oz

      August 14, 2016 at 9:39 pm

I’m a bit behind you though close. My thinking is it’x better to be ranked 1640 in AF than 164 RDT.

      • Lumma

        August 15, 2016 at 8:23 am

Yeah definitely, but his point was there’s not enough reward for nailing a good starting squad.

        • Killerbees

          August 15, 2016 at 2:33 pm

I dunno I’m sitting 423 in fantasy and 79th in RDT, RDT i took a couple of “risks” I didnt in fantasy and it largely worked.

SC i started with almost identical side to RDT and im only sitting 9k, but have have 2 weeks in top 200 and last week 324th, comes down to more than just starting side in all formats i reckon

          • Killerbees

I hate Tom Rockliff so much. (Disclaimer: I don’t actually hate him).

I bought Tom Rockliff at the start of the year so he could be my “Go to” Captain.
The two times I have had him as captain he has returned a score of 24 and 33. From this frustration I sold him and he was on my never again list, only to smash me ever since.

This has been a pattern that has plagued me with Tom Rockliff ever since his breakout year.

I also brought in Jack Stevens three weeks ago and have had him as captain only to return sub 70 scores each week.

I have been completely undone by Captain scores this year.

    • AndyHawk

      August 15, 2016 at 7:07 am

No one should have Rocky on a never again list. Any player can go down with an injury – the guy is an absolute fantasy beast

      • Bigfoot

        August 15, 2016 at 8:12 am

+1. I didn’t put the (c) on rocky this week thinking he could put up one of those 70pt scores. Ouch! Z.merrett (c) still done well.

    • The Chosen Won

      August 15, 2016 at 12:15 pm

    Vent/Brag/Whatever:
Massive props to one of my favourite players in the competition right now, Marcus Bontempelli. Had him since day dot. Scores of below 80 in all of his first 8 games, 7 of which were at Etihad, had me worried. But since then, he has been nothing but a machine. Had him captain this week over Danger and had paid off majorly.
