  • This podcast is going from strength to strength guys, getting more meaty each week.

Good to hear some left field suggestions e.g. Dawson Simpson. Although the cats have shown worrying habit of rotating their rucks all season. I think their priority is to keep giving them all game time up to the finals. So maybe Simpson’s JS will be issue.

    • Haha – it could be a positive way to play the game this year. If there wasn’t the downgrade options this week that are on offer (Clisby, McKenzie, Daniher)… it probably wouldn’t seem that stupid.

Thanks for the kind words too, Nix! Speaking on behalf of myself, I am having a lot of fun doing this. Podcasts are great (I’m listening to more as well now).

  • Great podcast guys loving it!

I think the top 3 Defenders have to be a lock for everyone – Heppell, Goddard and Gibbs
The next three is what will separate the men from the boys, but at the moment I have
    4. Ibbotson (great run home, and brilliant average)
The next two are deemed controversial
    5. Hartlett (due to other injuries and must trades, I have often decided against trading him but the last 3 games – 99, 89, 91 – he has rewarded my faith)
    6. Ellis (rookie and has dropped off but great ceiling)
But I think Hanley, Waters, Malceski, Enright, deserve to be in the backline top 6 talks.

  • Yeah good job again lads, permanent fixture every Monday night while doing my maths homework… helps cheer me up!
Enthusiasm is brilliant and you have to love the banter, seems like all of you have about 15 different ‘boys’!
Keep it up guys, you soooo deserve a spot on TV, put out a petition or something…

  • Nice one guys.

I’m going with Waters as the best upgrade in defence. Closely followed by Malceski. Not a final decision by any means, though…..

  • Just got around to watching the podcast – Great show again, especially on the defenders!

On that point, now Boyd is injured (FMDT) I’m in a spot of bother. Was originally going to get Ibbo in for Vlastuin and finance with Neade to Clisby. UNfortunately, Boyds absence means I’m somewhat stuffed.

I have a really important mini-league game this week, so I’m looking for maximum points. Ditching Vlas and Boyd gives me 895k, so I was thinking
    Boyd – Ebert
    Vlas – Terlich

    Thoughts? Any other ideas?

    Keep up the great work!

  • Top 6 defenders. I dislike having 3 players from the one team in one position. So only two Bombers can fit. Similarly, I wouldn’t like having Ibbo and Johnson.

Goddard, Gibbs, Heppell, Ibbo, Enright, Malceski.

But I’ve given Hartlett my number 6 just because he can score a big 100 and the difference between his 5 round ave and Malceski’s is minimal.
