Gun of a Son: Round 11 Review

rd11review

As the most traded in player for Round 11, there was a bit of expectation on the young Swans midfielder… especially in this time of need; starting the MBRs. How good was Tom Mitchell? 144 DT points was huge.

Vent/Brag/Whatever: Ranked 677 for the week, and knocked out of Eliminator. Somehow managed to pull a bloke who was in the top 2k as my supposed underdog opponent. Sounds legit. Oh well, if you’re gonna be knocked out, you’d rather be knocked out with a good score :/

Ranked #226 with what should be a full 18 this week, so with a bit of luck will move up the rankings again.

    • how excactly was stevie j a stud on the weekend 101 against the worst team in the comp and by the biggest flat track bully right now.

  • Absoloutly Heartbroken, If there is one hard luck story you read all week let it be this one!

It all started when i was flying in my fantasy Centrebet team. Straight 100+ from every player until, unfortunately, i was crippled by kennedy’s late withdrawel. So, facing a score of just 17 players and in order to get my 18th score i used my last trade for the week that i planned on saving for later in a desperate bid to grab first place for the week.

Unfortunately, instead of bringing in cloke for thomas like i planned i brang in kyle martin without thinking. When i realised i didnt panick, thanking my lucky stars that there was a reverse change button that i could relly on. Then it hit me and i realised……NO reverse trades durin rolling lockout.

So therefore not only did i have Martin on the bench scoringg 122 points that i don’t recieve (already had 8 mids playing so i scored from 17 players) I also missed out on clokes 157.

And to rub salt into the wounds, i got 2471 and the winner for the week got 2607. Therefore, if i hadnt of stuffed up the trade and taken a minute to look at what i was doing (damn reversed trades have mnade me complacent) i would of had clokes 155 making my score 2626 and netting me a handy $1500.

I Have hit fantasy football rock bottom, not sure if i can pick myself up for the rest of the season haha every goal cloke kicked was like a dagger to the heart =(
