On the Chopping Block: Ha like I have enough trades to care
Vent/Brag/Whatever: Going into the last game the scores were tied and it was my J Riewoldt V his LeCras. LeCras was up until Riewoldt’s goal in the last minute. Happiest moment of my life. A loss would have had me out of the 8.

  • For dream-stats boys interested, i had a good win at the casino

  • Team Name: Big V Superstars
    Round 20 Score: 2310
    League Results: W W W W W
    Ladder Position: 4th, 4th, 1st, 3rd, 2nd (one in five chance of winning a premiership :D)
DT Studs: Swan (C), Pendlebury, Chappy, Stevie J (on debut), Goodes, Mitchell, Smith, Deledio, Gibbs
DT Duds: Cox, GoddDUD, Broughton, Martin
On the Chopping Block: NO ONE
Vent/Brag/Whatever: In the top four in all leagues but I have an assignment against Dr Dream Team in the first week one of my leagues. I hope to win all my leagues in week one to advance to the preliminary finals because if I start the wrong players on the field, I could go out in straight sets!!!!!

  • If Rockliff hadn’t got injured early in the 3rd Quater in round 9, he’d be averaging 112 points a game. He missed two weeks and during that time Brisbane got there first win and played really well. You can bump his average up to 114 and you’ll find he would be the 3rd highest ranked player, based on average points. Amazing for someone who is owned by 3% of teams.

    • Yes, didn’t realise how good he was til I traded him into my DT Pro team after another team dropped him out prior to Lions bye in Round 19. Had him captain 1st week in…….awesome! :-D

  • Falcons
    1st, 4th, 3rd
    Studs: Swan, Goodes, Mitchell, Lower
Duds: Goddard, Fyfe, Montagna, Zac Smith

5 trades and $100,000 left. Am desperate to get rid of Montagna and Zac Smith…they’re giving me nothing right now! Thoughts??

    • I’d keep Montagna – he shouldn’t get you any shocking scores, and has the potential to get some big totals. If you want to get rid of Zac Smith, it’s worth taking a serious look at Sam Jacobs. Averaging very highly (apart from v Port) in recent weeks, and getting better with every game he plays. His next four are Geelong, Gold Coast, Richmond and West Coast, with three of those teams giving up significant points to ruckmen.

      • Probably a good call. Just looked at Jacobs (couldn’t believe how well he’s scoring) and McEvoy, who are both averaging in the 90s. It looks like Smith is well past his best.

You’re probably right re Montagna…just frustrating me with his inconsistency.

I have had a plan on how to handle finals but now am panicing after a shocker this week!

  • Team name: The Tools
Studs: Swan, Thompson, Mitchell, Stevie, Rockliff, Chappy
Duds: Cox, Fyfe, Puopolo, Petrie, Goddard
Chopping Block: No-one (only 2 trades left)
Vent/Brag: Knocked Dr Dream Team out of the finals (not that it was a major achievement, just satisfying)

  • Team Name: The Three Voters
    Round 20 Score: 2287
    League Results: A win
    Ladder Position: 3rd
DT Studs: Mzungu, S. Thompson, Stevie J, Swan, Deledio, Lower, Goodes.
DT Duds: Cox, Goddard, Fyfe, Puopolo. Buddy’s late burst at the end just saved him from joining the duds.
On the Chopping Block: My defence is still troubling me, but I have a couple of trades in hand. Probably Puopolo and/or Otten out for two bigger names. Banking it all on winning week 1 and avoiding having to trade out/cover Stevie J.
Vent/Brag/Whatever: In my first season of Dream Team, I’ve managed to snag a top 4 finish, which I’m very happy about. Dr Dream Team first week of the finals, a very beatable opponent.

  • Team Name: Modern Marvels
    Round 20 Score: 2223
    League Results: W, W, L, L, L
    Ladder Position:
DT Studs: Cloke, Goodes, Mzungu, Shiels, Lids, Pendles, Swan, Gram, Rockliff
DT Duds: Knights, Cox, Z.Smith, Goddard
    On the Chopping Block: Nil
Vent/Brag/Whatever: Could be in trouble with fwds this week if Knights, Higgins dont pull up, Sylvia doesnt return and the tribunal give goodes a rest…

    Round 20 Score: 2380
    Overall Position: 85

Vent/Brag/Whatever: Lost my eliminator matchup by 10 points. Was needing Priddis to score 107+ to win. He started with 44 in the first quarter and then obviously decided to spend time with his hair curler. Flipped a coin whether to start Stanley or Lower on the field and went with Stanley – that decision also could’ve won me the matchup. Also hurts to have Isaac Smith and Mzungu on the bench and Rioli on the field, but oh well. Top 64 last year, Top 32 this year. On the positive moved up to 85th overall.

  • Team Name: All Class
    Round 20 Score: 2272
    League Results: WWWLL
    Ladder Position: 4th, 1st, 6th, 6th & 13th! (disgraceful)
DT Studs: Swan C, Thommo, Pendles and Gu
DT Duds: Goddard, Cox and having to play Didak
On the Chopping Block: Zmith if I had the trades
Vent/Brag/Whatever: Placed 1st in cash league and team has been wired for finals (hence the lack of Geelong guns!) so that’s my main goal to win. Last 2 leagues are guys on here so good work fellas, schooled me!

  • Team Name: Devo’s Duds
    Round 20 Score: 2341
    League Results: WWWW
    Ladder Position: 1, 1, 6, 4
DT Studs: Swan (C), Scotland, Chappy, Goodes, Mzungu
    DT Duds: Goddard
    On the Chopping Block: –
Vent/Brag/Whatever: Happy that Sylvia didn’t come up, I was able to take advantage of Mzungu’s 114. Sylvia has to come back this week though or there’s trouble

  • Has anyone created a DTtalk League in he Barclays Fantasy Premier League @ and if so whats the league code to join?

  • Team Name: Raiders
    Round 20 Score: 2322
    League Results: W W W W
Ladder Position: 8 (by 0.03 percentage points, and being in 12th only 4 weeks ago.),3,4,6
DT Studs: Swan (C), Chappy, Goodes, Mzungu, Lids, Pendles, Dal Santo, Darling (replaced Silvia).
DT Duds: Goddard, Cox, Pav, Franklin, Broughton, Hodge, Jimmy B, Petrie
On the Chopping Block: – 3 trades, but need to save a 0 in the ruck, so Curnow down to an 80K, and Stanley to McEnvoy- no point having trades left if I’m out in the first week of finals.
Vent/Brag/Whatever: Have coverage in all spots, so should field a strong side, would love for GAJ to fall short again, opponent has him and two Kanga’s ready to sit on the pine.

Lets hope the next four weeks are similar in scoring to the last 4!!

  • Team Name: Team Super Awesome
    Round 20 Score: 2303
    League Results: WWL
    Ladder Position: 2/15/9
DT Studs: Scotland, Delidio, Fishers, Swan, Scotty Thompson, Ryder, Stevie J (C), Goodes, Mzungu, Darling
DT Duds: Goddard, Cox, Martin, Sylvia, Jacobs
On the Chopping Block: It’s going to depend on injuries this week.
Vent/Brag/Whatever: I’m super stoked with my score considering I had a 0 from Sylvia with no cover. I lost my 3rd league match by 17 points, which just muscled me out of the 8, and secured only my 4th win in the DT TALK league. A few weeks ago I took a gamble on keeping Ryder over Smith when I needed money, with the idea of upgrading to Goldstein after his 2nd bye which has worked out great because Goldstein has shed a few dollars and Ryder has a bit more to make after that performance. 3 trades left, but if I win this week (against Dr DT), I can ignore the Geelong bye and focus on covering Gibbs/Scotland the following week. Good times!

  • Team Name: Lukey’s Lot 2011
    Round 20 Score: 2353
    League Results: WWWWW
    Ladder Position: 2nd 6th 9th(!) 8th 2nd
DT Studs: 5. Captain Swan (thanks Calvin) 4. MZUNGU 3. Stevie J 2. Goodes (bad luck champ) 1. Chappy
DT Duds: Marc Murphy – 30 touches for a lazy 87, Adcock’s second half had me sweating
On the Chopping Block: Wait and see on Cox/Smith
Vent/Brag/Whatever: Knocked my best mate out of the top 4 and jumped from 10th to sneak into the 8 in my main league. Well placed from here, 4 trades left only $20k remaining.

  • Team Name:Chris’sChingChongs
    Round 20 Score:2182
    League Results:WWWWL
    Ladder Position:2,4,1,1,3
    DT Studs:Swan (C), Mzungu, Goodes
    DT Duds:Puopolo, Cox
On the Chopping Block: not sure yet. someone who’s going to be replaced by sylvia next week due to his run home

  • Team Name: Phil Ken Sebben (124th overall)
    Round 20 Score: 2413
    League Results: not relevant
Ladder (overall points) Position: 2nd and closing
DT Studs: Darling, Rocky and The Jed, Tendai and Heppell
DT Duds: Colin and *it kills me to say this* Fyfey :(

17 less points for the round would of given me 42,976 total and left me at 126 overall ranking, not 124…

  • Team Name: RedNBlack Attack (2nd yr DT)
    Round 20 Score: 2349
    League Results: w,w
    Ladder Position:1st x2
DT Studs: Swan, Scotland, Goodes, Chappy
DT Duds: Cyril, The Dish, Goddard, A Swallow
On the Chopping Block: Maybe Swallow but only 2 trades and have cover
Vent/Brag/Whatever: Inspired move trading in Scotland for Curnow last week…maintained a 1 loss record across both leagues
