The news for today…

The Saints have made us happy today stating that Lenny Hayes, Michael Gardiner and Zac Dawson will return this week. It’s probably not good news for people with Crows players, but Clinton Jones will also return after his late withdrawal last week. I’m aiming to to read too much into the afl.com.au headline that said “Saints top up on talent, but some may rest“. Fingers crossed none of the big guns will rest!

Essendon Captain Jobe Watson is in doubt for the clash against the Bulldogs. He is named as a 50/50 chance because of an ankle injury.

For those with James Podsiadly and Josh Hunt, Plan B will need to come into effect now. They have accepted their two and one match bans respectively. Leigh Brown is challenging his ban, so stay tuned for the result of that.

Finally, Ben Cousins trained well today and looks almost certain to take his place in his final game this weekend.
