Shags’ Watchlist

nank
Toby Nankervis (Ruck/Fwd $238,000 AF $277,100 DT) is probably too expensive for many to grab as a ruck, however with so much carnage its not a terrible strategy to downgrade a Nic Nat or Tippett to him over the byes and upgrade one of your other ruck rookies after their byes, or even after the bye rounds, especially if the ruck you really want doesnt fit your bye structure but Nankervis does.

Shags’ Watchlist

Ken
With rookies drying up, new debuts like Matthew Kennedy (Mid $183,000 AF $170,800 DT) Kennedy has been in outstanding form in the NEAFL in 2016, and is coming off 26 possessions and three goals in the reserves’ tight win over the Sydney Swans last week. Some may want to jump on board of the bat.

Shags’ Watchlist

sitch
Sam Mitchell (Mid $463,000 be 97 AF $ 461,200 be 72 DT) was looking must have at the start of the year, but then had an absolute shocking fall from grace. He scored 109 in his last outing but was a late out last week. Personally I’d like to see another solid output before considering, but he is super cheap and a proven gun, if he helps fix your bye structure he might be worth a punt that he will be back to his best.

Shags’ Watchlist

stef
There are 2 reasons I am watchlisting Stephan Martin (Ruck $392,000 be 106 AF $ 392,100 be 86 DT) this week. Trent West is out making some belief his output may improve, so owners who were looking to offload may hold to see. And with so much ruck carnage, some looking for a cheap upgrade may actually consider a super cheap Stef on a punt.

Shags’ Watchlist

tuck
With not many rookie options, If you dont already have him you may want to jump on Darcy Tucker (Def $242,000 be -3 AF $222,100 be -36) after a stint on the sidelines has just started warming up with a 74 and 94. The kid looks a gun and if you dont already have him it could be a good option even at an inflated price.
