Cal's Scale of Hardness

Cal’s Scale of Hardness – Rd. 4

RED, GREEN… TABLES – Check out what you are trading into!

Here we go again – welcome back to the legendary Cal’s Scale of Hardness – this is where you can see what runs players have coming up. This might help you one way or another when it comes to finding that player who might POP or FLOP moving forward.

GATHER ROUND – WE’RE COMING!

That’s right Adelaide legends – we’re heading to Gather round next week for a HUGE few days. Not only will we be hitting the cans, we’ll be doing a show and we’d love to see you there…. but tickets are nearly done and dusted. Make sure you are a part of the fun for what should be plenty of laugh as we enjoy a beer and the horrible stuff this game delivers.

Perth legends – you’ll be up next… click below and join the fun.

Let’s get down to why we are here… this is the Scale of Hardness and it has been used by Darren Carr the 2023 winner…and the legendary  Matt Mottram the 2022 winner and x3 hat champion – and if it’s good enough for them… it’s good enough for us. It works!

WHAT TEAMS GIVE UP

Hold on Cal – What does that all mean?

VS – is the average points a team gives up each week. Essendon are giving up 1826 a week, this equals to 79.4 points per players (23 players). Compare this to North who have only given up 1359 per game… 59pts per player on the other team.

100 and 120 – is the amount of 100-plus and 120-plus scores a team have given up per game so far this year. Obviously, it depends on who has played who… but it’s also interesting to see that four teams are yet to concede a 120-plus score, whereas Essendon have given up seven.

DEFENDERS

  • Zorko’s run over is about to heat up and his owners should be excited. He meets three of the top-4 easiest teams to score against in the next five weeks.
  • After this week – make sure you have plans to get Grlj on the pine. Scoring against GWS and North isn’t going to be easy for the rookie.

MIDFIELDERS

  • It’s not too late to jump on Jack Steele if you feel you have missed the boat. Coming off 135 and 138 – he’s flying and his run looks juicy. After the Suns this week, he’ll meet three mega-easy teams over the next five games.
  • I’ll also ticks off Will Ashcroft for those shopping in those areas. A nice little run for the Lions in on it’s way and he never cop attention.

RUCKS

  • Such a hard position to read at the moment but there’s one big take-away you need to see and that’s the run coming up for Warnie’s mate Blakiston. He needs to be benched or traded ASAP with what is coming his way. The dude can’t score at the best of times and then add in this draw…. I’m worried.

TAG WATCH

Each week on our patreon space I also update TAG WATCH – this is critical to see who is coming up to tag our premium guns. Keep take-aways from the year so far are….

🏷️ Finn O’Sullivan – new tagger on the rise. Held Butters to zero marks and 92 in round one. He’s one to watch as we move forward and goes to Walsh this week.

🏷️ Tholstrup – Went to Nasiah and did well holding him to 77 and got Serong to 64 also. One to watch – Anderson a target this week?

🏷️ St Kilda – clamps will be used each game. Garcia the one to watch, but they also use Windy and Max Hall (on DEFs) as well. Huge concerns against them.

Caliston, Have you put the RUC Scale where the MID Scale should go? Also “what should be plenty of laugh”, “This is update each and every week”, “I’ll also ticks off” and “Keep take-aways” are the ramblings of a hungover pirate. ALSO do you need a good editor? My rates are competitive (unlike my backline).
