Important times to remember
Thursday game teamsheets ~6:20pm AEDT Wednesday
Friday/Sat/Sun game teamsheets ~6:20pm AEDT Thursday
Notes: ~22‹C at bounce, cool evening with some cloud around the ground.Sam Grlj (DEF/MID, $322k). The Blues lose potential R3 option Liam Reidy, their other inclusions are not particularly DT relevant. Cheap defensive option Josh Gibcus (DEF, $230k) has also been named for Richmond. Of note for fantasy coaches, popular mid-priced forward Sam Lalor has been named on the ball, while highly owned rookie Jagga Smith starts on the wing..
Notes: ~21‹C at bounce, mild night conditions with light winds. Max Kondogiannis (DEF, $230,000), Dyson Sharp (MID, $302,000) and Hussien El Achkar (FWD, $230,000). The three expected debutants for the Bombers are all confirmed. Brandon Fiorini is a new inclusion and could be a solid POD option for fantasy coaches. For Hawthorn there are no major DT-relevant ins or outs, though Cam MacKenzie could be considered an outside POD option.
Saturday, March 14 – Marvel Stadium, Melbourne Melbourne 🏢
Notes: ~23‹C outside. Indoor conditions at Marvel, with mild weather outside and no major concerns. Rhyley Sanders returns for the Bulldogs and looked impressive during the preseason, so he could be a sneaky forward option for Fantasy coaches. Will Lewis (FWD, $230k) will also make his AFL debut for the Dogs. There are no changes to the GWS lineup.
Saturday, March 14 – GMHBA Stadium, Geelong Geelong ☁
Notes: Pleasant afternoon in Geelong with patchy cloud and only a very low chance of rain.
For Fantasy coaches, James Worpel is out injured if anyone was considering him as a POD option. We do see the return of star forward Jeremy Cameron. Popular mid-pricer Murphy Reid has been named at half-forward which is a small red flag for Fantasy scoring. Interestingly both Sean Darcy and Luke Jackson are named in the ruck line together. Any injury concerns around Hayden Young appear dismissed as he has been named in the side.
Notes: Warm night in Sydney with a mix of cloud and clear breaks around bounce.
Sam Draper is named for the Lions, while popular preseason rookie Daniel Annable (MID $330k) will make his AFL debut. Ruck rookie Zane Zakostelsky holds his place but Fantasy coaches may note he has been named at key position full back which is a red flag for scoring. The Lions will also be without Hugh McCluggage who misses through injury.
Notes: Comfortable night for football at the MCG with some cloud drifting through.
Only the known debuts are the main Fantasy angle here. Adelaide have confirmed Lachie McAndrew (RUC $286k) will make his AFL debut, while Toby Murray (FWD $230k) is also set to play his first game. The Crows have also announced Charlie Ah Chee will make his club debut, making him one to watch early to see how his role develops at his new side.
