Key things to begin with is the obvious upgrade to the interface. Everything is a lot smoother. Better organised. It may take some playing to get used to.
But the app experience will be better when that launches next week – more consistent with the web.
A lot of the great stuff is coming in-season. This article highlights a lot.

No field view on phone, but there is on desktop – is your screen resolution small? App out next week, but I don’t know if there will be a field view. Possibly not. It wasn’t used much at all.
I’ll defintiely be using List View more on desktop now that we can select our own stats to show.

I’m tipping an iPad screen resolution is smaller than what’s needed for the typical desktop display. It’ll be used like mobile/app view, which is pretty slick now with the data that’s available in that mode.

A combination of factors made it too hard for us to be able to produce the quality product we have always tried to do over the 16 years we had it running. Sucks as it was an important part of the pre-season, but we’ll have some bonus stuff happening from February to fill the void… hopefully where we can play to our strengths a bit more.

We’re going ok. Can’t complain too much on that front! We’ve been able to have opportunities that make it worthwhile.
Key things for the Deck this year was the delayed start to the game, our workload for the pre-season (especially off the back of a bigger than usual Term 4 at school), some of the upcoming 2026 plans, different travel and family commitments.
I really wanted to make it happen, but it was just going to be too hard to produce the quality that we wanted to.
Plenty of stuff going on behind the scenes for both the AFL content and DT Talk (including Patreon). We’re refreshed and set for a massive season for Season 20!

I thought the app opens this week. Guys are getting a bit slack
Last time I checked, it is still ‘this week’. App has been submitted to the stores. Unfortunately you have to wait for Apple and Android to approve and make them live.
Hi Warnie, there seems to be some confusion on the new app (or perhaps I’m the one confused). I thought Opening Round was Round O, then we start playing from Round 1 same as last year? The app (possibly the website too… not sure) has players who aren’t playing in Opening Round listed as having a Bye in Round 1. It seems that the Fantasy app rounds aren’t lined up with the official AFL rounds? See below example….Maybe I’ve got my wires crossed somewhere, but has thrown a bit of confusion into the team selection process. Cheers mate
I clicked on the fantasy site on the AFL site and was able to pick my team and join leagues.
What do people think, would love to get Bergman in any ideas how not happy with Bryan.
