DECISION TIME

Which angle are you taking?

SMITH (VC) ➡️ XERRI (C)

This is the obvious angle to take… but the question is: What will you take from Baz, to not have a look at Xerri?

This is huge, because last week we saw Warnie and Roy take a modest 107 from Gawn and not gamble the points into Bailey Smith. Hindsight is great thing and in this game it sucks.

Taking this angle… means you will get a look at Smith (which is great), but then have to make a ‘tough call’ about what score you will settle on. Personally… I’d need to see 120+… but then would you take 119? It’s not easy, cause you might be missing out on a 150/160 from Xerri.

XERRI (VC) ➡️ ???

This angle you get a look at a guy who has scored 168 and 129 against the Eagles last year and as you can tell by the numbers above… teams absolutely brutalise them and rucks simply dominate.

You take this path if you are like Roy… and don’t like to gamble on a line. EG. Smith scores 110-119… you probably take it.

Taking this path… you get a look at Xerri (risk free) and can take all the glory that comes with it…. the issue is, if he fails… what’s next? There are options this time with the likes of Merrett, Martin, Gawn and Daicos to come. From the list… my rankings are Daicos and Gawn.
