Here we go for another week…. geez I hope you did better than me last week as I turned greedy (Zorko VC) only to be left with no options afterwards and ended up going Macrae (Capt. 84). Not ideal.
Either way… onto the next one. Let’s have a look how the top-10 went last week.
🏴☠️ 1 – Dayne Zorko 79 ❄️
🏴☠️ 2 – Josh Dunkley 116 ✅
🏴☠️ 3 – Lachie Whitfield 139 💥
🏴☠️ 4 – Noah Anderson 92 ❄️
🏴☠️ 5 – Bailey Smith 127 🔥
🏴☠️ 6 – Tom De Koning 82 ❄️
🏴☠️ 7 – Lachie Neale 115 ✅
🏴☠️ 8 – Jordan Dawson 118 ✅
🏴☠️ 9 – Kieren Briggs 96 ❄️
🏴☠️ 10 – Max Gawn 95 ❄️
Don’t forget… you can catch my 200 word, game-by-game coverage of all the great captain options (Tuesday 7pm) and my top-10 (Thursday 7pm) over at our patreon space which is pumping with a whole group of legendary legends.
Last week I also mentioned some players to avoid ❌ … this is how they went with only Sheezel proving the mighty pirate wrong. That role off half-back could be something that might hang around for a while and if it does…. we need to get on.
❌ Tristan Xerri – 78
❌ Connor Rozee – 84
❌ Nick Daicos – 76
❌ Harry Sheezel – 125
❌ Jack Macrae – 84
Let’s get into the real stuff and see who we can make our captain this week. In all honestly… this week should be pretty high scoring with plenty of great options and many others that didn’t even make my top-10.
🏴☠️ 1 – Brayshaw v RICH
@ Barossa, SUN 12:35pm
Last week we saw the Brisbane midfielders all cashed in and this week it’s Brayshaw’s turn. Yes… it is slightly nerve-racking to have him at No. 1 but hear me out. Last year he had 146 and 125 against them and he even scored 148 in Gather Round (Vs Carlton). Brayshaw has scored 119 and 110 in his last two games and all the boxes for him have been ticked here… in a big way.
🏴☠️ 2 – Dawson v GEEL
@ Adelaide, THURS 7:40pm
Dawson averaged 119 at home last year and meets a team that has been giving up plenty of points. Oliver had 104 last week and before that we saw McCluggage 121, Ashcroft 115 and Dunkley 110 all do very well. So far this year Dawson has scored 118, 85, 134 and 126 and in his last three games against the Cats he has gone well scoring 104, 121 and 116.
🏴☠️ 3 – Whitfield v STK
@ Adelaide, SUN 3:20pm
Whitfield is the #1 guy in the game based on form after his 139 and 120 over the last two weeks. He scored 120 in this match-up last year (at Manuka) and recently against the Saints we have seen DEFs score well against them with Bergman 113 and Short 101 both doing well by their standards. Conditions will suit and Whitfield is in for another big day.
🏴☠️ 4 – Marshall v GWS
@ Adelaide, SUN 3:20pm
Marshall has a super record against Briggs where he scored 138 last year, and 138 & 110 the year before. Rucks against Briggs have managed 69 (Williams) and 97 (Meek) this year, the data is rather limited. Marshall is coming off 75 (against Sweet who is hard and red on the scale) but Marshall did score 123 and 142 before that. He’ll get the job done.
🏴☠️ 5 – Dunkley v WBD
@ Norwood, SAT 4:15pm
Firstly, Dunkley is averaging 117 this season and in this ‘revenge’ game he had 79 last year but he did have 116 before that. Last week against the Bulldogs we saw Brayshaw 119 and Serong 121 rack up plenty and Dunks should as well. Gather Round last year he scored 114 at Norwood and there is nothing here that shouldn’t deter you from locking him in.

What about Darcey Cameron !!!
No love for TDK?
Not after today
