Wow… what a week it was for captains. Now… a little lesson for those muppets out there (like me)… if you are playing the VC game and trying to loop in a great score, make sure you have bench players who haven’t played or are red dots so you can get on that great score. Yep, I went with Whitfield and got his 145 as my VC and assumed I would deal with it later… wasn’t the case and therefore went with Butters and lost 57 points. What an idiot.
This week we have some ripping options. I believe my top-5 is solid as, but make sure you have the bench options needed to get the VC loop option if it’s one you like. With some ‘high-celing’ options before Sunday’s games… there is a very good chance you will have someone you like. Whitfield plays Saturday night and that might be too late for some….
Once again, if you love this shit then head to our patreon space for more epic content to finsih off the season.
CALVIN’S TOP-5 CAPTAINS
No. 1 – Gulden v WBD
@ SCG, SUN 3:20pm
Gulden has averaged 124 in his last seven and has 3×150+ scores in that time. He scored 119 against the Dogs (Swans top scorer) earlier this year at Marvel and returns to the SCG where he has averaged 120 in his last five there. he’s an easy fallen-back captain option after chasing a ceiling early in the round.
No. 2 – Sheezel v GEEL
@ Blundstone, SAT 1:45pm
Cats are easy and Sheez is running hot with 134, 78 and 134. He has scored 125 and 106 in Hobart this year already and at the moment… the Cats have put the taggers away. He will be very good! Oh and I also need to mention he had 159 against them in round five! Boom!
No. 3 – Zorko v GCS
@ PFS, SAT 4:35pm
This was the game earlier this year when Zorko had 184! He’s coming off 131 and looking hungry again. Although another 184 is a little unrealistic here… half-backers have been feasting against the Suns and recently we have seen Whitfield 145 (10m) and Houston 122 (9m) have ripping scores.
No. 4 – Xerri v GEEL
@ Blundstone, SAT 1:45pm
Recent rucks to battle the Blicavs/De Koning combination have averaged 124 across the last five games with English 116 and Cameron 147 the most recent. Xerri has hit 120 in four of his last eight games and should get another one here… but his highest has only been 129.
No. 3 – Whitfield v MELB
@ MCG, SAT 7:30pm
Whitfield has gone 128 in his last seven games and 136 in his last four. Recent half-backers to play the Demons have gone ok but Whitfield needs to be in the calculations as he is the best/most inform Fantasy player in the game at the moment.
ALSO CONSIDER…
Nick Daicos v Richmond – The Tigers are still mega easy and we have seen some big scores against them. This will get nasty and this match up suits Daicos perfectly. The problem is… he is coming off 87, 85 and 102… and only managed 100 on them last year.
Tom Green v Melbourne – The Demons are struggling and teams a cashing in against them and last week it was Serong 123 and Brayshaw 120. Green has feasted this year on the ‘easy’ teams and is coming off 120 and 123.
Nic Martin v St Kilda – Could explode here against he Saints like he did in round 3 when he had 145 against them. His role has been a little hit and miss, but with that said he has still be scoring good enough for a VC if you like the option.
Dunkley, Trealor or Nic Martin as Captain?
Dunk
sad
Hi Alena, are you single I would love to know you better.
Should I take Sheezel’s 118 or gamble on gulden
Im in the same position, think i might just take Sheezel
Me too, however i’m taking the gamble…wish me luck
I get paid over 200$ per hour working from home with 2 kids at home. I never thought I’d be able to do it but my best friend earns over 10k a month doing this and she convinced me to try. The potential with this is endless. Heres what I’ve been doing..
AND GOOD LUCK.:)HERE====)>
Do I take Dunkley’s 128, or hope Gulden goes bigger?
I’d take dunkley.
