We’ve had this running on our Patreon this year and it’s down to the final 32!

It has been a lot of fun having the eliminator-style game back, so we thought we would have a crack at another one post-byes with thanks to our mate Jaiden.

All you have to do is join our league (code: SEKHWV6P) and if you are in the top 512 scores for the four bye rounds (total points), you will make it into the knockout comp that will start in round 16.

Atkins and Fiorini… I guess it was always going to happen. Can’t wait to trade them out.

Haha yeah, was always going to happen. Shame on us for getting sucked in, at least for Fiorini. Ratkins owners did ok with the cash gen at least.

Feels like were stuck with them for another month though, unless we move them on this week.

Oh boy, definitely hardest round for trades with me so far. Decided to give Atkins and Fiorini just ONE more week before giving them the sack. I do have 22 on field mind you (assuming Drury plays).

Took huge punts on trades heading into byes, mainly because well, I’m sitting 7k, it also reduces amount of rookies on field and helps my bye structure. I sincerely hope it works out decently for me.

Trades:

OUT
Ashcroft, Cincotta, Roberts

IN
Yeo, de Goey, Mullin

Team –

DEF
Dawson, Docherty, Stewart, Day, Yeo, Bergman (Mullin, Uwland)

MID
Green, Laird, de Goey, Hunt, Fiorini, Atkins, Wardlaw, Drury

RUC
English, Ryan

FWD
Taranto, Ziebell, Rozee, Sheezel, Mitchell, van Rooyen

BYES
Steele, Andrew Brayshaw, Marshall, Gulden, Dunkley, Sharp

thinking of bringing in Briggs to replace Marshall in ruck – thoughts?
I am thinking he will get 70+, hopefully more, and has a breakeven of 17 so should make a few dollars with a bit of luck

depending on how well Briggs goes for the next few weeks I might keep him or try and wrangle Marshall back in. But if I lose 30 points downgrading but pick up 60 with the upgrades I can now do I am in front (I hope) And Briggs could make 100k 0r more maybe

I’ve learnt not to fuck around in the ruck after being on Xerri island this year but their are plenty better coaches than me out there. Could be good for cash gen at the very least

what this lets me do is Marshall, Sinclair and Ashcroft out, Briggs, Docherty and Laird in with cash that should let me get a premium and a couple of decent rookies next week – although there are not a lot of sub 300k options.

yeah – now comes the pain lol
my trades are now Sicily, Marshal, Sinclair to Docherty, Mullin and Briggs.
Leaves me enough cash to get Dunkley and Brayshaw next week, possibly another high player as well

It’s goodbye to Rat Pasta for me.

Trades are:
Van Rooyen to Mullin
Atkins to Yeo
Fiorini to Petracca.

Wanted to get my last rookie priced starter odd field in Pedlar, but he can wait a week or until his bye now with Fiorini burning 25k.

I thought I was the only one getting Yeo, leave him for me and myself, I don’t want to share this pain of being a future Yeo owner

This site is small enough now that it won’t get out unless the traders mention him lol.
I’m hoping most keep going Hobbs, who, don’t get me wrong, is still a decent pick, I’m just thinking more long term with Yeo. Percentage of time on ground was up until he was put on ice basically for a bunch of the last. Plus CBA’s.
No more comments from me

I’m higher on Greenwoood then Yeo, simply because Yeo is every chance to get injured in the first half, but you would hopefully only need him til his bye

I never know if Fiorini just has a low scoring role or if he is not playing well – he seemed to be on the wrong side of the ground a bit on Saturday but I thought he looked fine when he had an opportunity. Lost a few points giving away frees I remember. Anyway I am keeping him this week too but off he goes next

It’s em wingers, who always have volatile scores, they could be on the wrong side of the ground for a whole game. GCS playing at TIO again, which makes me want to get rid of Fiorini.

My team after trades:
Dawson, Daicos, Ziebell, Stewart, Day, Yeo

Tarantula, Green, Laird, Walsh, Merrett, Petracca, Ashcroft, Wardlaw.

English, Marshall

Gulden, Dunkley, Coniglio, Rozee, Sheezel, Pedlar.

Bench needs some love.

Atkins and Fiorini really hurt me moving up inside the top 2k this week, instead I pretty much didn’t move at 3k. Laird as Captain saved my round.

Happy I got rid of Pasta last week and bought in Butters instead of B.Smith (going for value to save cash for the byes).

Down to only 1 rookie on the field (S.Mitchell) not including Ashcroft & Sheezel.

22-24 Green Dots for first bye round. I’ll need to get 5 more non round 15 players in over the next 9 trades.

Outs this week are the 2 Rats (Ratkins, Ratugolea & Caminiti

For – Rowell, Mullin, Fahey

Hopefully Fahey gets a proper chance this week.

thought i was set for my trades this week, then Cerra gets suspended & Ashcroft has a stinker, so looking to move 1 of them..
Cerra has a few 130+ games this year & looks good at 100+ ave, but misses 2 of the next 4 games..
Ashcroft is a bit of a yo-yo scorer & figure 85+ should be his average, but i’d get an extra game holding him over Cerra..
also time to part with Wilmot and the Rat, but Rivers gets another week given they played Port..

Yeah having cerra suspended + the bye hurts here. Ashcroft probably should hold but will probably go after his next home game for me

Really need help with my trades this week. As much help as possible will be great thanks.

Def: Daicos, Dawson, Sheezel, Ziebell, Stewart, Day (Cincotta, Chesser)
Mid: Laird, Green, Brayshaw, Serong, Ashcroft, Fiorini, Atkins, Wardlaw (Long, Sharp)
Ruck: Marshall, English (Heath)
Fwd: Taranto, Guldon, Dunkley, Rozee, Hobbs, Pedlar (Angwin, Drury)
Utl: Roberts

Thinking of going cincotta down to someone, then ashcroft up to walsh. And sharp down to someone. Need all thoughts thanks

Mullin for Cincotta, and you should have enough to upgrade Ashcroft. Last trade could be sharp down to a cheap option to hold some coin til next round but I think Ratkins will be dropped so he has to go. Think Greenwood, Keays or Yeo all around that mark, with Greenwood the top of my list

Those looking to sideways flick a Sun – there are some interesting names under $650 with last 3 average over 80:
Ridley, Broad, Bruhn, Blakey, Yeo, Greenwood, Hobbs, Scott.
And in the same bracket for a Darcy trade – Lycett and Briggs
Most of these have a b/e of 30-45, so a mistake won’t kill you.

But of course there is a reason they have all come down to under $650!

plugged Yeo in for Atkins already, but Blakey is an interesting one after the bye.. tbh, i was keen to look at Heeney given how well he can play through the guts..
either way, loading up on $$ this week to double upgrade next week..

Thinking of getting lachie neale for ashcroft this week and also matt johnson for fiorini

Is a good statergy, but be wary of bringing in a Rnd 12 rookie (eg McAndrew). You won’t know if they’ll get a call up after their bye.
Learnt this from previous years.

Best option to downgrade pedlar for cash?

Brandon
Brandon

Cincotta —> Mullins
Hollands —> Greenwood
Fiorini —> Keays
+190k in the Warne chest
OR
Fiorini —> de goey but no Warne chest

Hugh Greenwood is a no brainer for me to bring in, partly due to a cash gen problem as I’m stuck with some red dot rookies.

Looking at his scores this year, other than rnd2, his three lowest scores came from low TOG% (53, 30, 39).

Since coming back into the team, his TOG% has gone 75, 80 and 84. Which has led to a 3 game average of 92. A breakeven of 14 this week, he could easily gain (+100k) before his rnd15 bye. A good get by anybody that picked him up early but definitely not too late to jump on the wagon in my opinion.

Ben Keays should also be looked at by a number of coaches this week. After starting the season as a 859k player he has dropped to 564k.

Looking at his scores we can see he averaged a respectable 80.6 over his first 5 games, but subsequently over his next 5 games he averaged a measly 51 hence his rapid price drop.

Unlike Hugh Greenwood, TOG% was not a factor in this decline, and while there was some tough match ups in the 5 game slump (Collingwood and Geelong) there were also some easier matchups (Hawks, Saints).

Looking foward, a break even of 45 should see some cash generated before his end 14 bye, with a tasty WCE match up in rnd 13 possibly boosting this. For me, I will also be bringing in Ben Keays, however with the plan to trade him out at his bye with the hope he has gained ~50k in value at least.

Keays often used by ADE as a tagger / pressure fwd, hence his low scores. Who knows what his role is each week!!

Yeah, I believe when he gets the tagging role, his CBAs increase. But looks like Laird is out a week so Keays value has just risen

%@*^ the AFL and Match Review, Laird out as well. These so-called dangerous tackles are annoying me. Something needs to be done in the off-season. Can’t have players rubbed out for Brownlows depending on whether a player’s head grazes the grass or not, because those tackles will continue to happen all the time.

Both have a few easy games ahead, their break evens are low and should gain on price considering their projected scores are get-able. If I had to pick one, I would go Greenwood. You will get 3 games from him before the byes.
