Easter weekend saw lower scores than what was expected by a few, headlined by a few premiums not living up to their dollar value. Calvin’s captains get a rocket, the new DPPs that will land next week are looked at, the sub rule is covered and trading strategy with a lack of rookies coming through is discussed.
1:00 – It was a tough round with scores over 2000 being good ones.
4:00 – Calvin was happy with Warnie’s phonecall telling him about Jarrod Witts being a late out and getting Tim English for 145.
8:50 – If you don’t own Nick Daicos, playing against someone who does is a hard watch.
11:00 – Warnie gives his -3 to Ross Lyon for subbing his captain Rowan Marshall on 107.
13:45 – There was very little barking from James Sicily as he scored 18 points in the last three-quarters.
16:15 – The so-called pillars of strength in Sam Docherty, Rory Laird and Josh Dunkley are all dropping cash.
19:30 – A huge score by ‘Scott Lucas’ of 2317 won the week.
20:45 – Could the Michael Barlow Medal be renamed to the Harry Sheezel Medal?
22:20 – Toby Nankervis and Tom Lynch will miss a few weeks for the Tigers.
25:00 – Coaches have issues with how the sub rule is currently communicated. Could we see some change?
28:00 – Is Reuben Ginbey in line for a rest?
31:15 – What will we do with Will Day if he is suspended?
36:00 – It’s apparently upgrade season, but we need rookies to make it happen!
42:15 – Jayden Hunt and Trent Rivers appear to be a couple of sub-$600k defenders worth looking at to help fix the crisis in the backline.
47:00 – Which players could we see gain DPP after round five?
51:30 – The Traders reveal their early trades.
52:15 – Questions from social media – follow @AFLFantasy on Twitter, @aflfantasy on Instagram and like the Official AFL Fantasy facebook page.
56:55 – Would you play an extra rookie on field to get James Worpel to Clayton Oliver?
1:00:30 – Do we have an issue with Nick Daicos this week against St Kilda?
1:04:40 – Is Darcy Tucker a mid-pricer worth looking at after playing his first full game?

Will Day gone for two weeks for that tackle, hello Daicos, welcome to the team.
Doc – gone
Day – gone
Can already foresee Ginbey rested, Wilmot dropped, and Nick Daicos is gonna pull a hammy in training guaranteed.
2 or more original glazed donuts this week
My cover is Chesser and Constable …….. let carnage reign
Day 2wk: https://www.afl.com.au/news/901687/match-review-hawk-cat-banned-for-slings-meek-free-to-play
Personally thought ROHAN was way worse than the DAY incident. Won’t be surprised if they appeal the DAY incident. No damage to the opponent, was not a violent motion, took him to ground arms pinned yes but well executed tackle it seemed.
MRO and inconsistent/irrational decisions.
Name a more iconic duo.
You’ve got a huge input within the AFL fantasy world
Any chance you could influence those in charge to move forward the new DPP this week with all the carnage especially in the back line 😳
Take one look at the leader Ben’s side whose in a world of trouble
Doc and Day out with some of the rest no certainty to play Ginbey Fahey Bergman and Wilmot he could have only two players – Dawson and Daicos 😳
This truly proves this game is 90% luck and 10% skill
Good luck to everyone especially Ben
It’s strange how the more that good players are prepared for bad luck ahead of time, the less they fall mercy to it.
Part of the skill is having contingency plans in place. Then there’s continually rotating rookies who aren’t playing already, or scoring poorly and likely to be dropped, instead of luxury trading premiums sideways in the first month etc, or chasing scores from previous weeks.
I had had 4 omissions to the midfield last week, plus Constable already out. Still fielded a full 22, with multiple Emergency options in all positions. Is that bad luck, good luck, or good preparation?
Hoping someone can confirm the changes to DPP. Is it 4 games that a player needs to be eligible for DPP change? So even with Day being out, he’s still good to go for being a DPP mid now also?
Keen to upgrade Worpel this week. Not enough to get to Serong. Are Warner / Wood decent options?
