Xerri to Jackson, and Cowan down to Chandler for the easy money.

The bright side of Bringing in Xerri last week allowed me to bring in Bytel last week and Chandler this week, which I’d otherwise not be able to afford, so the cash gen in the long term will soften some of the damage.

Laird will still average well this year, like Dunkley will- one round doesn’t make a season.

GWS said very early on in the week that they would be targeting Laird, and that’s how it turned out. (I took A.Brayshaw instead of Laird.)

Comben worth a look?
Trade out Liam Jones or hold?

I don’ think so re Comben, only scored well because he was thrust into the ruck, but Goldy should be back there this week.
If Jones is playing, give him another week as he’s playing St Kilda (Young, Cox and Ryan took approximately 700 marks against them on the weekend)

Laird to Oliver is seriously enticing me…

It is very enticing. Both are tag targets, but taking fantasy aside for a moment, coaches assign tags to nullify the opponents player’s effect on the game. So then to compare crows v demons, not just Oliver and Laird, the demons have a far more damaging midfield group, so percentage wise should be tagged less often than Laird. For how long and how hard is still a guess, but a Laird tag is more damaging to the Crow’s unit than an Oliver tag is to a demon’s unit. Bringing fantasy back into the equation, it does pocket you a small 17k, but you still keep a genuine captain option most weeks. They’re both elite scorers, but Noone can really knock ya for making that trade.

Thanks Dan, one of the best responses I’ve gotten on this website; in terms of that, what are you thoughts on going Laird to LDU instead of Oliver to save even more cash… risky but maybe an option?

Do I keep cumming seeing as Whitfield is out or should I trade to Hayden young or daicos

Both Daicos and Young are good. But if you wanted more of a POD, Young is a good bet and less risk of a tag.

Chesser -> Davey
Laird -> Brayshaw
Thoughts? I was lucky to already have all the must-have rookies and mid-pricers, so Marshall in my R2 and Laird were my only big issues this week but I’m thinking I’ll hold Marshall.

Re trades
It seems the trade function is same as last year?
Can only reverse trade or roll back (subject to salary cap & lockouts)
I thought trading was to emulate Supercoach where individual components of a trade could be modified within that trade?
Cannot modify a trade once a player is locked out, except by using a trade to flip player back in or out?
If we’ve shuffled around & used 2 trades, both trades will freeze at first player lockout?
