Daniel Rich (DEF, $11,810)
Friday v Geelong
It’s Daniel Rich! Last week he reminded us all what he is capable of scoring a team-high 108 from 30 disposals. The things is… he took so many kick-outs it wasn’t funny. In fact, he took 8 and played on 6 times for an extra 18pts and most of the times, he ran past his targets to receive the ball again. It was elite piggery! It’s also worth noting that the Cats kicked 11.12 in the first final which will give Rich plenty of chances to do this again.
Jarrod Berry (MID, $11,090)
Friday v Geelong
He is free to play! Last week he saved the game for the Lions with a tagging role on Oliver in the second half. In that half, Berry went bananas scoring 82pts from 21 touches. He tagged Dangerfield (66) earlier this year and will most likely have the same role again. Why not? He dominated and it worked at the same time.
Jeremy Howe (DEF, $9,640)
Saturday v Sydney
Screams value at under $10k and his form suggests that he is. Coming off 88 in his last game against the Dockers his marks have spiked. He took 8 last week and last time he played the Swans he took 7 with a score of 88. Seriously… how can he be under $10K?
Jordan De Goey (MID, $11,570)
Saturday v Sydney
De Goat has been playing out of his skin in over the first two finals with scores of 87 and 124. His mid-time has gone up even more with Taylor Adams on the sidelines. Amazingly, he has only played Sydney three times in his career as he missed the round 22 clash against them. His score of 124 is what we are chasing here and it’s worth noting that during the home and away season, De Goey only hit 100 on two occasions, both away from the MCG.
John Noble (DEF, $10,920)
Saturday v Sydney
He has been “our boy” this AFL Finals Series averaging 92 in his last three games. He even managed 91 on the Swans in round 22 so we might as well keep whipping him again. Under 11k and listed as a defender… the risk appears to be quite low.
James Rowbottom (MID, $13,220)
Saturday v Collingwood
One of the most inform players in the game at the moment and as we know, this match-up suits him perfectly. He proved this in round 22 when he scored 108 against the Pies from 24 touches and 8 tackles.
We all know that the Pies give up plenty of points to midfielders and that is where Rowbottom has been playing. In the first final he attended 11 CBAs, sharing the duties with Parker, Mills and Warner. Last week against Collingwood, the Freo midfielders still racked up in a loss with Brayshaw 127 (32d), Serong 118 (34d) and Acres 110 (27d) all having a day out.
His last six games this year have been elite scoring 110, 104, 108, 90, 129 and 105. For a guy who has averaged 83 across the season he is certainly a player who has got firing at the right time. Get on!
