It seems that the last few weeks we always get a player that is in most of our teams is named out, and another one dropped this week, with Lachie Whitfield missing due to ankle injury. With his bye coming up in round 12, I wouldn’t be surprised if he isn’t back until round 13, meaning he is probably a trade. There are also plenty of coaches that have to trade out Jack Steele, who will be out until late in the season with a shoulder injury, meaning coaches will have 2 forced trades this week.

Now, lets get into the rest of the Weekend Forecast.

Colin O’Riordan

OUT

James Rowbottom (Suspension), Ryan Clarke (Medi-Sub)

Players to Watch

Patrick Cripps

Had his first poor game of the season score wise, but he still had 26 disposals. I expect him to bounceback against Sydney tonight under the roof, and could be a solid VC option early in the round.

Chad Warner

He has now scored 4 tons in a row while playing a more prominant midfield role. Priced at 721k and a breakeven of 58, could be a POD alternative to someone like a Serong that could ride through to his bye. Make sure he does fit your bye structure though.

Callum Mills

After scoring a poor 76 in round 8, he bounced back in a big way last week with a 156. He has now gone 130+ in 3 of his last 4 games, with 2 of them 150+. If you have Jack Steele, moving to Mills will only cost you about 60k, but it could very well be worth it with Mills looking like the no.1 scorer at the moment, and a great VC option tonight.

Other players to watch: Sam Walsh, Isaac Heeney, Corey Durdin, Jake Lloyd, Paddy McCartin, George Hewett, Luke Parker, Sam Docherty, Jack Carroll

Geelong vs Port Adelaide @ GMHBA Stadium

Port Adelaide

Tom Jonas, Trent Dumont

Xavier Duursma (Omitted), Martin Frederick (Omitted), Orazio Fantasia (Omitted)

Players to Watch

Zak Butters

Scored 84 against North Melbourne last week which isn’t his worst score, but owners will still be frustrated. Tough game against Geelong in Geelong, if you have issues with round 12 in your bye structure and you don’t have the Steele or Whitfield issues, you can still move him on.

Mitch Duncan

Even though he did only score 86 last week, he stil had 21 disposals and 8 marks, played the half back role we wanted to see, and St Kilda are a hard team to score against. Still cheap at 732k, he is a nice option to consider, even if he may not have shown enough yet.

Ollie Wines

This is the definition of an underpriced premium. Now down at 802k after his injury affected game in round 4, he want bang against North Melbourne with 128 points, including 2 goals and 3 behinds so his score could have been so much bigger. A lot of people have issues with round 12 bye players, so you could wait until after his round 12 bye, but if you bye structure is good, then go ahead as he is a great option.

Other players to watch: Tom Stewart, Sam De Koning, Connor Rozee, Dan Houston, Sam Hayes, Travis Boak, Patrick Dangerfield

Western Bulldogs vs Gold Coast @ Mars Stadium

Weather Forecast

Around 15°C, partly cloudy

Team Lineups

Western Bulldogs

IN

Tim O’Brien

OUT

Taylor Duryea (Illness), Roarke Smith (Medi-Sub)

Gold Coast

IN

OUT

Darcy Macpherson (Omitted)

Players to Watch

Jack Macrae

Nice bounce back from Macrae last week with a nice 123 against Collingwood. Another favourable matchup against Gold Coast, but it is at Mars Stadium which we know can be weird with scoring. A nice VC option early in the round to see how he goes, because he could be massive.

Touk Miller

Responded after a quiet round 8 with a nice 128 last week in the wet conditons against Fremantle. A nice option for Jack Steele and will only 8k. Tough matchup against the Bulldogs at Mars Stadium this week, but you are getting Touk because he is Touk.

Marcus Bontempelli

Keep a close eye on the Bont and Bailey Smith this week, with the Dog duo currently at 37% fwd for the season and might gain fwd status after round 11 (above the 35% threshold to gain dual position status ). I am particularly keen on the Bont, who had his biggest game of the season last week with a 119 and now really cheap to what he normally is at 801k.

Other players to watch: Bailey Dale, Bailey Smith, Tom Liberatore, Buku Khamis, Rory Thompson, Josh Dunkley, Adam Treloar, Robbie McComb, Luke Cleary, Joel Jeffrey

North Melbourne vs Melbourne @ Marvel Stadium

Melbourne

IN

Jake Melksham

OUT

Kade Chandler (Suspension), James Harmes (Injured)

Players to Watch

Christian Petracca

Went big last week with a 139 against a depleted Eagles side, and it was his first 120+ score since round 2. A bit cheaper than the other big midfielders at 879k, and has another juicy matchup against North Melbourne. Ripe for the picking, and a great Steele replacement that actually makes you 13k.

Jason Horne-Francis

JHF is back in the team after missing just the one week with hamstring tightness. If you held him, he could be useful if you have issues to deal with this week and you need a player to fill a hole in your team, and he has the round 14 bye so it isn’t the worst idea to potentially hold him until his bye, but if you still have the chance to move him on, he has done his job.

Clayton Oliver

Slightly disappointing with only a 91 against West Cost as he should have been atleast 100+.  Before that though, He has scores over 110 in 4 straight games, so he will be fine. As said with Petracca, has a juicy matchup against North Melbourne this week so hopefully he can cash in for his owners.

sOther players to watch: Tarryn Thomas, Max Gawn

Adelaide vs St Kilda @ Adelaide Oval

Weather Forecast

Around 14°C, clear

Team Lineups

Adelaide

IN

Riley Thilthorpe, Lachlan Murphy

OUT

Lachlan Sholl (Omitted), Elliot Himmelberg (Omitted), Luke Pedlar (Medi-Sub)

St Kilda

IN

Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera

OUT

Jack Steele (Injured), Jack Higgins (Injured)

Players to Watch

Rory Laird

Just as consistent as they come, and he did it again last week, with another score of 124. Has a couple of tricky games against St Kilda and Geelong in Geelong, but after that his run is amazing. He is expensive now at 919k, but I don’t think you will find a more consistent player and scorer than Lairdy.

Jake Soligo

Looked really good last week on the wing for his 59. Was involved a bit, and it was good to see him play 81% game time. My personally pick of the rookies this week, but most people are looking at a defender rookie with people wanting to cash in McCartin or SDK. He has the better round 13 bye, and should be in the team until his round 13 bye.

Jack Sinclair

With Jack Steele out for a while, I expect to see him get some CBA’s. He started the season on fire playing as a midfielder, and even though he hasn’t been getting the mid time, he has still been solid all season, with his lowest score being 2 scores in the 80’s (one in the slippery conditons at Cazaly’s). Solid POD replacement for Whitfield owners.

Other players to watch: Jade Gresham, Jordan Dawson, Ben Keays, Sam Berry, Jackson Hately, Marcus Windhager

Richmond vs Essendon @ MCG

Weather Forecast

Around 11°C, mostly clear

Team Lineups

Richmond

IN

Robbie Tarrant, Josh Gibcus

OUT

Noah Balta (Injured), Bigoa Nyuon (Omitted), Marlion Pickett (Suspension)

Essendon

IN

Devon Smith

OUT

Jye Caldwell (Injured), Tom Cutler (Omitted)

Players to Watch

Dustin Martin

I think Dusty is a player for us to keep an eye on and see how he goes over the next 2 weeks before his bye. Currently priced at 671k, he would be a great player to bring in off his round 12 bye. I don’t think he will be a top 6-8 forward, but a good option to bring in if he can do well over his next 2 weeks.

Zach Merrett

Only a 51 last week which was really poor, resulting in him dropping 57k and is now priced at 840k, and has a breakeven of 158. Potentially will be under 800k in a couple of weeks which will be ridiculously cheap for a guy that has averaged 115+ on mutiple occassions. Will be a good option to maybe look at after his round 13 bye.

Nic Martin

Had his lowest score for the year, but stil got to 65 after a really quiet first half. At some point we will have to trade him, but he does have a really nice matchup against Richmond on the wide MCG, so he should put up another solid score, hopefully making us a little bit more money in the process.

Other players to watch: Jayden Short, Darcy Parish, Maurice Rioli, Nick Vlastuin, Ben Hobbs

GWS vs West Coast @ Giants Stadium

Weather Forecast

Around 18°C, occasional light rain (83% chance of rain)

Team Lineups

GWS

IN

Josh Fahey, Zach Sproule, Matt Flynn, Jake Stein, Jarrod Brander, Jesse Hogan, Jacob Wehr, James Peatling, Tanner Bruhn

OUT

Finn Callaghan (Injured), Nick Haynes (Illness), Cooper Hamilton (Omitted), Lachlan Keefe (Omitted), Conor Stone (Injured), Lachie Whitfield (Injured)

West Coast

IN

Zane Tree, Andrew Gaff, Brady Hough, Jack Williams, Luke Shuey, Rhett Bazzo

OUT

Liam Ryan (Suspension), Jamie Cripps (Illness), Luke Foley (Injured)

Players to Watch

Greg Clark

Came back to Earth slightly last week with a 61, but played against a great Melbourne midfield. It was positive to see him get plenty of CBA’s, and hopefully we see him get some more in the next few weeks, but it could be tough with Shuey and Gaff back this week, along with Sheed and Yeo not too far away. Still solid to play on field while he is making bulkcash with a breakeven still -20.

Stephen Coniglio

A disgusting score last week of only 49, with many coaches wanting to move him on. With Steele and Whitfield injured, I doubt you will be able to now, but I would hold this week to see how it plays out with the new coach. It was positive to see Cogs named on the ball in the team sheets (even though it doesn’t mean much), and I think he should see more CBA’s than what he has been getting, hopefully meaning his scores will increase.

Josh Kelly

2 scores in his last 3 of 134 has been great to see, and has a juicy matchup against West Coast with a new coach. If he gets 60+% of the CBA’s, he will have more scores like last week, and become a really great option for us to look at, but I just want to see it with the new coach first. Could be a guy you look at after his bye in round 12.

Other players to watch: Isaac Cumming, Harry Perryman, Tom Green, Tim Taranto, Alex Witherden, Braydon Preuss, Hugh Dixon, Brady Hough

Hawthorn vs Brisbane @ UTAS Stadium

Weather Forecast

Around 14°C, sunny

Team Lineups

Hawthorn

IN

Ned Long, Daniel Howe, Kyle Hartigan, Jackson Callow, Liam Shiels, Tom Mitchell, Changkuoth Jiath

OUT

James Worpel (Omitted), Connor Macdonald (Medi-Sub), Jack Gunston (Injured), Finn Maginness (Omitted)

Brisbane

IN

Ryan Lester, Deven Robertson, Tom Fullarton, Mitch Robinson

OUT

Marcus Adams (HS Protocols)

Players to Watch

Lachie Neale

Great captain option this week against the Hawks at pig park. This is a slight chance he is tagged by Conor Nash, which could make things difficult, but we have seen Neale push through tags this year and put up good scores so I don’t think it will be too much of an issue.

Dayne Zorko

Had 132 against Hawthorn last year, and is a great option for either Steele or Whitfield. Still cheap at 790k, and we know in the mid/fwd role he is playing now, he has been a fantasy beast and averaged over 105, and I think he will be a top 6 defender, plus he has the round 14 bye which is another positive.

James Sicily

The Sic Dawg did it again last week with another 109 against Richmond. That is now 4 tons in his last 5, with his lowest score of the season being a 79, showing his safe and high floor. Brisbane can be tough on their day, but the ball should be in the Hawks defence a bit, and it is at pig park so it should be a high scoring fantasy game.

Other players to watch: Daniel Rich, Dylan Moore, Tom Mitchell, Keidean Coleman

Fremantle vs Collingwood @ Optus Stadium

Weather Forecast

Around 24°C, showers and potential thunderstorms (96% chance of rain)

Team Lineups

Fremantle

IN

Michael Walters, Lloyd Meek, Sam Switkowski, Matt Taberner

OUT

Josh Treacy (Omitted)

Collingwood

IN

Jack Ginnivan, Mason Cox, Scott Pendlebury, Jamie Elliott, Reef McInnes, Nathan Murphy, Trey Ruscoe

OUT

Jack Madgen (Injured), Aiden Begg (Omitted), Finlay Macrae (Medi-Sub), Callum Brown (Omitted)

Players to Watch

Andrew Brayshaw

Despite only getting to a 99, it was quite impressive as I hardly noticed him during the game. In really poor conditions he wasn’t able to take his marks, but he made up for it with 10 tackles. Has a decent run up until his round 14 bye with Collingwood, Melbourne, Brisbane and Hawthorn. Nice option to bring in for Steele and will be a top 8 mid.

Jordan De Goey

Even though he only scored a 77, he did have a -1 point 3rd quarter and it was against a very tough opponent in the Bulldogs. He is now really cheap at 667k and has the great round 14 bye, so if you can’t afford any of the top midfielders or forwards, I think he is a cheap option to look at.

Caleb Serong

Back to back scores of 112 and 126 have put Serong on the radar for some coaches. I worry when Fyfe comes back his role will be affected, but that might still be a couple of weeks away, and you could ride him until his round 14 bye and offload him then.

Other players to watch: Taylor Adams, Scott Pendlebury, Jack Crisp, Sean Darcy, Will Brodie, Darcy Cameron, Nick Daicos

My Trades

O’Driscoll -> Petracca

H Dixon -> Khamis

or

Whitfield -> Zorko

O’Driscoll -> Wines

With the Whitfield issue, I might have to change my trades slightly, but having 427k in the bank does come in handy this week. If one of McCartin, Carroll or Durdin score well tonight (70+ score), I will hold Whitfield and use the loop to take their score. This means my trades will be NOD to Petracca and Dixon to Khamis on my bench. However, if none of those 3 players score 70+, I will then go Whitfield to Zorko and NOD to Wines. I am likely to do the Zorko and Wines trade as I don’t expect any of them to score well, but you never know!

Great article mate, only thing to note is Soligo has the round 13 bye, not 14 as you’ve indicated.

I would back in Macrae as the VC if you have someone not playing after him. If you have someone not playing in the Geelong Port and Bulldogs Gold Coast games then you might have to go Crippa

You have to wonder sometimes if the folks at Champion Data who do the stats are a bit biased towards players in their Fantasy teams or not.

Heeney lays a tackle that causes a turnover and rebound, and nothing on the AFL stats. Then there’s the soccer kicks off the ground, or messy disposals when players are tackled that never appear to count either.

What exactly qualifies as a tackle/kick/handball? Because it’s not the understanding that average Joe fans have.

    • Gaz

      May 20, 2022 at 9:12 pm

I don’t mind it not being called a handball when it spills out, but yeah surely the short and sometimes unintentional soccer kicks in a contest should be worth a +3

    • Petez

      May 20, 2022 at 9:14 pm

      Yer its Crazy.
I’ve watched durdin tackle a bloke to the ground 3 times. Yet only has 1 registered tackle atm

    • pendles4brownlow

      May 21, 2022 at 1:50 am

Agree 100%. I believe that traditionally the number of disposals has been based on the number of kicks and handballs, but it must have been in possession first. However, a kick is a kick, and should count in the stats.

The tackle is a difficult one; I found this definition of when it would count as a tackle – ‘A tackle will be recorded if a player is legally pushed off his kick or handball resulting in that possession going directly to the opposition or out of bounds on the full. Tackles are NOT recorded if laid in a scrimmage play and / or gang tackles and results in a ball up.’ Was Heeney’s tackle in a scrimmage play etc? The rule should be made less confusing.

      • JungleMuffin

        May 21, 2022 at 6:49 am

See, even that definition is nonsense. Why should a player being tackled to the ground and getting a handball out that dribbles 5m away and a teammate runs on to it not not count as a tackle, but it dribbles to an opposition player and suddenly it is a tackle? Surely a tackle is someone with the ball being you know, tackled?

And a tackle into a ball up not considered a tackle either? That’s absolute nonsense.
Same as the scrimmage/gang tackle bit.

As for Heeney, from memory the two players were in 10m of space, tackled to ground, ball disposed of to nobody and a Sydney player ran onto it. Guess that’s not ‘direct’ enough though xD

I don’t know, just some nnonsense criteria. Up there with a player kicking to someone in 20m of open space, but missing the target by so much it becomes a 50/50 contest, and it counts positively towards disposal efficiency instead of a blatant clangar. Just strange criteria for how stats are registered.

        • pendles4brownlow

          May 21, 2022 at 8:09 am

Agree. As long as the tackle has an impact on play, even just delaying the player handballing the ball has an impact and should count. For a group tackle, if a player has a significant role in the tackle it should count.

Kicking efficiency has never been a part of AFL Fantasy. So, a kick should count, regardless of if it is a crap grubber off the ground of a soccer shot at goal. If a ball is soccered through for a goal, it should be +3 for the kick and +6 for the goal.

Hayes is filling in well for Pruess. It helps with Stanley out for Geelong.

FMDT. Go to check scores for Captain Maccrae, and for the 2nd time this year my Captain is on someone totally different than who I had it set to yesterday when making sure I had Crippa as VC for the loophole last night. Maccrae looking on target for a 110+ too. On the plus side, at least he’s not crushing it (at this stage).

Let’s hope Captain Neale can get the job done!

    • pendles4brownlow

      May 21, 2022 at 4:28 pm

Macca waited til the last minute to scrape the 100

      • Bill

        May 21, 2022 at 4:42 pm

Take Macrae’s 100, or stay with Neale?

        • pendles4brownlow

          May 21, 2022 at 4:47 pm

Neale should break 100, surely. I have Oliver as my VC first up though

          • Bill

            May 21, 2022 at 5:01 pm

yep, Neale it is for me. I could have taken Petracca, but too late now.

        • Petez

          May 21, 2022 at 5:15 pm

          Macrae downgraded to 96.
          Take neale

          • Bill

            May 21, 2022 at 6:00 pm

Beginning to wish I had put the c on Petracca, but Neale will have to do.

    G. Clark or N. Daicos on field?

    • jjbkeeper

      May 21, 2022 at 4:46 pm

      Or McCombs 60

    • JungleMuffin

      May 21, 2022 at 5:28 pm

You’d have to give it to Daicos wouldn’t you, just because he’s earned his tripes? Feels wrong sitting Daicos on the bench, but I’d probably agree with fielding Clark ahead of him.

  21. pendles4brownlow

    May 21, 2022 at 4:26 pm

Ended up going Rowell on field instead of Clark. Ouch. Thank you Hayes for not totally bombing – Damn Preuss.

    • Bill

      May 21, 2022 at 4:44 pm

Rowell has been a real disappointment- I dumped him ages ago.

      • pendles4brownlow

        May 21, 2022 at 4:52 pm

I’ve wanted to, but other issues keep popping up. He had been scraping to his BE in most rounds until now, so I was hoping he would get to the byes so I could fix up the red dots and round 12 bye players. I thought he could be trusted to get 70-80 as my M8. Hopefully he is my worst by far. As I write this Oliver has made a blinder start – if he keeps going like this, ,it will more than make up for Rowell as I will loop hole his score

  22. Andy

    May 21, 2022 at 4:29 pm

Take McComb’s 60 or punt on Hobbs? Think I’ll take the score.

    • Jay1

      May 21, 2022 at 4:40 pm

Similar: punt on Soligo or take McComb’s 60?

      • Petez

        May 21, 2022 at 5:14 pm

        Mccomb updated to 62.
I like to use 60 as a base score on cows.
        So I would take it.
But could easily be wrong lol

        • Jay1

          May 21, 2022 at 5:31 pm

Yeah, I would do it if I knew for certain neither Erasmus or McInnes get named as emergencies. Already checked the VFL sides….but Collingwood have the bye in the VFL…anyone know if McInnes got on the plane to Perth?

          • Jay1

            May 21, 2022 at 8:47 pm

            Soligo it is for me!

Didn’t want to take that slim risk McInnes comes on as an E and gives me a 17

    • jjbkeeper

      May 21, 2022 at 5:06 pm

Yeah, considering keeping McCombs over Daicos or Clark. Hard choice with these cows

  23. Petez

    May 21, 2022 at 5:19 pm

I chose petracca over Oliver for captain loop.
Hopefully I can bank the cappo this game.
    Otherwise I’m going brayshaw tomorrow

I took a big punt on Sean darcy.
Pruess out and no cover (hayes had started, so I couldn’t trade in). With pruess also on bye in 2 weeks. Meant I had to take a gamble.

I traded Whitfield to Zorko and Pruess to Darcy.

It meant I had to miss out on cleary.
But the GWS round 12 bye meant I had to trade them out.

  24. BestowedMisery

    May 21, 2022 at 5:49 pm

I’ve passed on Macrae’s score. C on Trac.

  25. Andy

    May 21, 2022 at 6:56 pm

It’s hurting having Macrae’s 100 as C when I also have Oliver who is tearing it up!

  26. pendles4brownlow

    May 21, 2022 at 7:10 pm

Should I take Oliver’s 147? LOL. I love easy decisions.

Il be taking brayshaw over tracs score

  27. Mike

    May 21, 2022 at 7:57 pm

    Take Trac’s 115 VC or Neale’s C tomorrow?

    • JungleMuffin

      May 21, 2022 at 10:08 pm

      115

    • JungleMuffin

      May 22, 2022 at 4:53 pm

Neale 67 at the half. A 50 point 2nd half leaves you at break even. He won’t do much more than that. Always best to play it safe with Captains. Can’t really lose with a 110+.

  28. Petez

    May 21, 2022 at 11:01 pm

Well the decision to Cut N Martin last week and field durdin instead to allow me to put Oliver in the middle was risky. But paid off in spades.
Durdin outscored martin last 2 weeks and Oliver averaged 121. Admittedly il be more comfortable with durdin back on the bench next week lol

  29. Bill

    May 21, 2022 at 11:13 pm

Not doing too badly, as long as Neale comes up with the goods as captain tomorrow.
    Mostly good scores so far.

I’ll overlook Gawn’s 82 as he is still slightly injured, and JHF’s 75 was acceptable, as was Hayes’ 70, as a fill-in for Preuss.

Cripps’ 71 was slightly disappointing, as was Dusty’s 68 (maybe I brought him in too soon).

I think I’ll continue with Dusty and JHF next week, and bring in another premium defender so I don’t have to play De Koning.

    • Petez

      May 21, 2022 at 11:31 pm

      Good luck Bill.
      Hopefully neale kills it mate.
      Im a gawn non owner.
Must be a painful watch atm.
When he comes good. Il be buying.
I rode with Witts instead. But will trade him to gawn at some point.

  30. Petez

    May 21, 2022 at 11:17 pm

Im having 2nd thoughts on tomorrow.
I’ve gone over my Team and setup well for round 12 bye.

Im not confident in sean darcy.
Im good for round 12 bye setup. Il have plenty unless carange hits.

My issue is I have no Ruck cover tomorrow.
Begg was dropped, I heard pruess news to late otherwise would of swapped to hayes.
    Now I’m fucked haha.

    My 2 plays are….
Pruess to Darcy (which is awesome for byes, but not confident In darcy)

    Begg to Callum jamieson.
Which I have zero confidence in but atleast I keep pruess.

Im ranked 45th atm and have
Brayshaw (C), Crisp, Sicily, Zorko, Neale, Clark, Cogs (which I feel will go nuts tomorrow) and brodie plus whoever of Darcy or Jamienson.

    Plz sway me Guys.
I have a feeling option 2 is the play.
But its incredibly risky if jamieson scores another 12**** haha

    • JungleMuffin

      May 22, 2022 at 1:24 pm

Darcy is proven, and is good value at the moment. Can always trade him out after the byes.

If you’re ranked that high, you need to be playing hard for every point you can get, and Darcy could quite easily avetage 100 for the next month.

  31. Bill

    May 22, 2022 at 2:06 am

From memory, you only need 18 good players for the bye rounds.

If this is the case, I shouldn’t have anything to worry about.

    • BestowedMisery

      May 22, 2022 at 8:46 am

Nothing to worry about the during the byes?
      Yeah ok.
      Seems legit…
For me it’s a case of,
      Welcome to my nightmare..

      • Petez

        May 22, 2022 at 12:21 pm

I only own 5 starters and 3 bench players from round 12 bye. With 3 trades each round. Il field a team easy (unless carange hits haha).

      • Bill

        May 22, 2022 at 12:27 pm

With four trades until the byes start, I should be able to get it right.

At the moment I’ve got too many players out in round 12, but also I think you have to cop one bad bye round- it’s hard to avoid.

        • Bill

          May 22, 2022 at 12:29 pm

Oh… that would be five trades then until byes.

        • Petez

          May 22, 2022 at 12:36 pm

There is usually one bye round to juggle.
It’s why I cut n martin last week to Oliver.
It was to strengthen my round 12 team.
          Im glad I did
Cause my trades this week are covering injuried or sick players. But that’s why I think il risk callum jamieson. He may only score 25,30 odd. But il have pruess during round 13 and 14.
I don’t wana cut too many more R12 bye players out and leave myself short during 13&14.
Plus outside of pruess and witts atm.
No other ruckman can be trusted.

Here’s hoping jamieson can get me atleast 40 points lol. I’d take that

BTW on a side note. With all the injuries and new coach. I’m feeling good about Cogs today. Hoping he has a big one

    • Mike

      May 22, 2022 at 12:14 pm

He’s playing as a rookie small forward..
Would always fail as a trade.
A rookie defender downgrade.. There are none
Soligo would have been a better pick.
Fry gave a gave him a thumbs up.
If Berry is injured, it may bode well for him.

  33. BestowedMisery

    May 22, 2022 at 10:12 am

I saw some comments here about Rowell.
    I read the Brodie article..
Makes me wonder what goes through their minds @ GC.
    FMDT.

  34. Brisman

    May 22, 2022 at 11:21 am

I am thinking GC are too focussed on improving a players “weaknesses ” instead of having them play to their strengths. Can see no other reason for their poor trade out choices and Rowells deterioration in effectiveness and disposal numbers.

    • JungleMuffin

      May 22, 2022 at 4:33 pm

Dee is a bum. Hall, Lyons, 2m Peter, all couldn’t get a go with him. I understand he prioritised some values, and fair enough, because Hall, Lyons etc have their flaws, but if those guys aren’t good enough, then the players he picks should be doing better.

GC will improve once Dew is gone.

For a few seconds, Green and Cogs both came up as DNP on the AFL Fantasy site. Just about had a heart attack. Not that I am expecting too much from them, but got a shock.

    • pendles4brownlow

      May 22, 2022 at 2:37 pm

The way the 1st quarter has gone, Cogs may well have remained DNP. Not that Dixon, as my Emergency, has done anything either.

Looks like old Spike McVeigh (of the Mark variety, if the DTT lads still aren’t sure 😅) has turned young Cog’s season/career around.

Reckon Wh1tfield might be able to turn the corner also, given the coaches penchant for not playing players in obscure positions.
