Brandon Ellis (MID, $9,710)
Saturday v St Kilda
Far from a sexy start to the picks, but under $10k… we need to consider Ellis. Coming off 96, he has the ability to hit massive scores and when he is on… he’s on, just like the 169 he had on the Pies last year.
Josh Kelly (MID, $13,860)
Saturday v Melbourne
After scores of 81 and 89… he’ll be unique. Kelly scored 114 against the Demons last year and as we know, Melbourne give up plenty of points to their opposition midfielders. He’s a little risky, but we all know this guy has the ability to hit 130+.
Will Brodie (MID/FWD, $13,900)
Saturday v Essendon
Coming off 37 touches, 17 CBAs and a massive 127pts, Brodie is hot property. Priced under $14k, Brodie is a steal as a forward, even though he will be one of the main men used in the middle.
Sam Powell-Pepper (MID, $9,230)
Sunday v Carlton
Wines out…. SPP in! Last week, Powell-Pepper only managed 1 CBA but still managed to score 86. He will get much more than that this week and at his proce he could be a dead-set steal.
George Hewett (MID, $14,880)
Sunday v Port Adelaide
With recent scores of 115 and 119 in his pocket, Roy’s “Super-Hewy” has been outstanding. With Cripps sitting this one out, Hewett should get a bigger bump on the 21 CBAs he had last week.
Max Gawn (RUC, $15,980)
Saturday v GWS Giants
Max is back – make no mistake about it. Coming off his season-high 140, Max appears to have swapped his dinner plate hands with sticky mits.
He is up against Matt Fynn on Sunday… and he should have it all his own way. This year, ruck against Flynn have preformed well with Nank (85) and Hickey (98) achieving much higher than anticipated.
