Friday 25th – News

Extended bench selections are in. Check below and update accordingly. Note: Eagles vs North teams will be updated later due to covid protocols.

Thursday 24th – News

Wow, a bit of carnage tonight. Make sure you have players settled and VC loop set up tonight, check ins and outs below

GAME 1: Dogs vs Blues

INS Anthony Scott, Taylor Duryea
OUTS Bailey Smith (Injured), Bailey Williams (Omitted), Josh Schache (Omitted)
INS Lachie Fogarty, Sam Walsh
OUTS Adam Cerra (HS Protocol), Jack Martin (HS Protocol), Tom Williamson (Omitted)

Anyone starting Bailey Smith would have been over the moon with their POD selection, only to be devasted with this weeks omission. If you have traded him in after his great first round, hit the reverse button. The same can be said about Cerra who is yet another covid omission. We will have to get used to this, and I will be making sure I have good bench cover as much as possible. I have also noted that veteran Stefan Martin is listed as an emergency, meaning Tim English is sole ruck again and good news for owners and a possible trade target for others. Bontempelli has been named despite concerns

OUTS Angus Sheldrick (Omitted), Colin O’Riordan (Medi-Sub), Justin McInerney (Injured)
INS Jed Bews,Mitch Duncan
OUTS Francis Evans (Medi-Sub),Sam De Koning (Injured),Shaun Higgins (Rested)

Jake Lloyd in will be an upgrade or sideways option if you have the luxury…which surely you dont.
Justin McInerney out will hurt those who started him, and a few may have started rookie Angus Sheldrick, hes omitted . We knew about Duncan coming in and De Koning out for at least 1 week. Id watch Duncan before selecting him

INS Brayden Cook,Lachlan Gollant,Luke Pedlar
OUTS Andrew McPherson (Injured),Jake Soligo (Omitted),Riley Thilthorpe (Omitted),Wayne Milera (Omitted)

Popular Mid price defender Wayne Milera is a big out, and a few (like me) had Jake Soligo on the pine. Both Brayden Cook and team debut Nathan Kreuger are rookie priced, but more on the watchlist for me.

Urggh, covid protocols strike again with great rookie Nic Martin out, and to add more rookie pain for many Kaine Baldwin is out as well. (And they said he had good Job Security). Jake Stringer was great last year, and he is definitely on my watchlist as a premo upgrade. We already knew about Langford out via injury and Robinson out for suspension.

Wednesday 23rd – News

Its week 2 of AFL, and we have teams for our early Thursday game Dogs vs Blues. Early news already that Adam Cerra who played an outstanding first game for blues and a Point of Difference in many teams will be another Covid out due to AFL health and safety protocol, and gun Bailey Smith is a confirmed out due to injury.

On the other hand, good news for blues is gun midfielder Sam Walsh will be back

A windy cold day in 2015, I was bored, sick with the flu, and decided to start a blog about Teamsheets. I was immediately recruited by Warnie and somehow am now a DTTALK author. NOTE; Im Back in 2022! woooo Twitter@BaggersShags ~REMEMBER: Friends don't let friends DT TEAMS become ghost ships.

    March 23, 2022 at 6:48 pm

    Thanks Shags 👍🏼

So was really hoping this wasn’t going to be a question this early in the season, but being a Cerra owner – I guess we hold for 1 week and reassess next week?

    • Shags

      March 23, 2022 at 7:05 pm

Unless you have the pure luxury Id hold. Cerra looked outstanding week 1. There will probably be a few rookie omissions that will have higher priority.

      • Baldrick's boys

        March 23, 2022 at 8:00 pm

Thanks mate – I’ve certainly got some rookie fixes so I’ll stay strong & prioritise them 👍🏼

  2. Rhoda

    March 23, 2022 at 6:50 pm

Taking the positives out of this. Walsh will keep attention away from Crippa and Smith out might mean more CBA’s for Dunks. Libba might also get a chance in there after not getting a run in there last week.

  3. Jag67

Fantasy football’s greatest gift to us players. REVERSE TRADE button

  4. Fred Flanders

The Western Bulldogs are wasting their time with a Ugle.

  5. Kate Chaney

Ugle and all the cousins are 2 minute wonders, useless

    • Phteven

      March 23, 2022 at 9:40 pm

I didn’t know his cousins played. Who are they?

    Nick Martin covid protocols

  7. NP

    March 23, 2022 at 11:21 pm

I’m thinking if you already have Martin you keep him. Absolute cash cow and might need the two trades next week for more covid instead of trading Martin back in…

    • Nathan

      March 24, 2022 at 3:46 pm

      100% you keep him

  8. JungleMuffin

    March 24, 2022 at 5:29 am

Reckon it might be carnage tomorrow lads. De Koning, Martin already out, Soligio, Baldwin having stinkers, Ward hurt his ankle, WC with some players coming back meaning Dixon, Hough facing more competition. You’re in trouble if you were already carrying a few red dots heading into r1.

Could be quite a few people enjoying their first duck eggs for the season.

  9. Daniel

    March 24, 2022 at 6:23 pm

need 1 more spot thanks guys!

  10. The Kid

    Pedlar or Sharp?

  11. Happy Hawk

    March 24, 2022 at 7:12 pm

Sinn or Skinner, who has the best JS? Seems that Hinkley wont carry a poor performance from a rookie with Mead being omitted.

    • Shags

      March 24, 2022 at 7:43 pm

Sinn for scoring potential, Skinner (Key Position Defender) for value and a slow burn bench rookie. I think Aliir is out for at least 6 weeks so Skinner JS should be good. The rules for Sinn apply the same as Mead, JS a bit shakier.

  12. JungleMuffin

    March 24, 2022 at 8:40 pm

Is the AFL doing a Venom theme at Marvel Stadium this week?

    Because this is CAAAARRRNAAAAAAGE.

Good kitty, there there, it will be ok, we’re just taking you to stay on the farm……

Is what I’ll tell the kids, whoever navigates all the glorious randomness best is who will win this year I think judging by the early fun.

    March 24, 2022 at 8:43 pm

hey shags, screech here…how are you man? your twitter handle doesn’t work…thoughts on Milera>Foley (D6) & Soligo> Skinner w/2k left? I couldn’t log on DS anymore, hence haven’t been there. Cheers PS Nice work on the articles!

    • Pure Grunt

      March 25, 2022 at 3:01 pm

      Be wary of Foley
Eagles have 12 out for Covid
That is the 5 named already plus 7 more from last weeks game

  14. Sam

    March 25, 2022 at 6:41 am

    Help please. What’s the smartest.

    1. Mcinerny to Hayes for cash gen + 400k for next week or
    2. Straight to heeney and miss out on cash gen rookies?

    • JungleMuffin

      March 25, 2022 at 4:38 pm

Trading out owens do I get stengle or risk it with a rookie who could get dropped

  18. Sean

    March 25, 2022 at 5:51 pm

Milera and Dusty > Skinner and Tom Green (Gibcus plays on field) or
Milera and Mcinerney > Houston and skinner. (JHF plays on field, also means have an emergency in defence)

  19. FreemTheDream

    March 26, 2022 at 4:29 pm

Not a massive deal, but damn I hope the people who track the live fantasy stats look back over their work. Matt crouch had atleast 1, maybe 2 disposals in the last 5 minutes of the game not get recorded at all.

    • Double Parked

      March 26, 2022 at 5:58 pm

I think if you look back you’ll find they were Brayden Cook no. 15. I thought the same a couple of times but wasn’t crouch

  20. FreemTheDream

    March 26, 2022 at 10:32 pm

I think they amended it. It showed he finished on 99 at the end of the game, I checked half an hour later he was bumped up to 104, so happy days.

  21. Gary Lion

    March 26, 2022 at 10:36 pm

Still waiting on Rowell to be credited for about an extra 9 tackles they didn’t count.

  22. JungleMuffin

    March 26, 2022 at 11:02 pm

Cash generation by rookies being murdered this year. Going to struggle getting the cash togethe tto finish building our teams at this rate. Besides the two must haves going into the season in Hayes and Martin, the rooks below 270k have been universally useless, with no end in sight.

  23. Jay1

    1474, with 8 to come.

Didn’t a few under-par scores from my players this round: Grundy, Macrae, Lipinski, with the biggest disappointment being Rowell (score adjusted from 50 to 46 as I write this)

Rowell was very disappointing, seeing I brought him in for Ward who finished up scoring a lot more.

Gawn’s score was not good enough.

But a crap score from Skinner was to be expected.

Do u take the 85 from Ward as E or go with JHF against WCE?

Which one did you go with?
Looks like JHF will be avoiding fantasy points this game – on 2 after 22 mins of play

You take the 85 from Ward every day of the week.

What to do with Gawn and Grundy? Rage trade then both? Hold?

I’ve seen lots of teams with the set and forget rucks.
I’d say more like shit and regret.

I never realised Collingwood new coach was from Richmond. If they start playing more like Richmond then you can say good bye to them being a good fantasy team.

Tarryn Thomas has done me dirty two weeks straight. Can’t even be arsed leaving the rooms at half time.

    Never. Again.

If Whitto scoring an 88 is your biggest problem, then your team must be awesome. We should just hand you the car keys now.

I’m mildly disappointed at most, 88 from a defender is ok any week, you have dubious fantasy credentials if you’re calling for a rage trade.
