Good luck and please, gamble responsibly.
Oscar McInerney (RUC, $11,200)
Saturday v Gold Coast
As we know, the Suns are not really rolling with a ruck at the moment. Over the last few weeks, Burgess has remained as their number one man but he has been giving up the points to English 87, Mummy 91 and Chol 78. The thing is, Big Oscar is a much better ruckman than this trio and we’re backing him in for a biggy.
Tarryn Thomas (M/F, $12,100)
Saturday v Carlton
Selecting a forward is always tricky, so why not save some coin and grab a guy who is in ripping form. Coming off the best game in his career, Thomas scored 126 and looked a million dollars. His form in recent weeks has been great also where he has averaged 100 in his last three.
Jeremy Sharp (MID, $9,420)
Saturday v Brisbane
Alright, we can’t expect 123 like he had last week, but… he runs the wing and could take 10 marks, so why not? The injury to Ellis last week will only strengthen Sharps game and his score, making this “wing role” exclusively his even more than ever. Tougher match-up, but he’s still cheap.
Nic Newman (DEF, $11,400)
Saturday v Kangaroos
61 last week as one of my main picks was slightly embarrassing I’ll admit, but we need to back his guy in again, against one of the easiest teams for defenders to score against. Prior to his 61, Newman had strung together games of 74, 111 and 115.
Sam Menegola (MID, $12,320)
Sunday v Collingwood
On his day, Menegola can go off. He did this last week in a very Fantasy friendly role which saw him racked up 128pts. His match-up this week is just as juicy as he meets one the teams that have given up the most points to opposition midfielders this year.
Dayne Zorko (M/F, $15,620)
Saturday v Gold Coast
I know he is worth a truckload, but he could be our 150 guys and here is why…
- Zorko has a ceiling, a massive ceiling and hitting 150 is something he can do.
- He loves playing the Suns and has averaged 136 against them in his last three.
- He loves playing the Suns, but hates them passionately at the same time. Hence why he dominates them.
- Zorko last score was 105, but he has averaged 114 in his last six this year.
- The Suns are the second easiest team to score against this year.
REMINDER: Final teams for Sunday are announced tonight and be sure to check final teams before entering your team to play.
